By far the best meal we had in the area during a great visit to Acadia. Cute, cozy atmosphere, nice service and very tasty, well presented food. Had the lobster bisque, local roasted beets, marinated olives, filet mignon, and chocolate torte. There are a lot of mediocre restaurants in the area and it was so refreshing to have a quality meal here.

Amazing food and amazing service, a must when in Bar Harbor, I would definitely make a specific trip to eat at this restaurant.

Excellent food, high quality ingredients. Second visit and both times we had a quiet table upstairs, which we loved.

It was nice and our waitperson was attentive and friendly. The food was well prepared but not particularly creative.

This was the best meal we had on our trip up the coast from Boston. The steak and pork chop were outstanding. Cheese plate was good. Key lime pie with blueberry ice cream was also very good. Who would think those two would be that good together.

I was in Bar Harbor a few weeks ago. This was one of the first restaurants we went to. Everything we ordered was super fresh and great. Throughout the time we were there, this place stood out as the best place we had gone. We had a friend with us that had celiac disease and they were able to accommodate with her gluten allergy. If I lived closer I would definitely frequent this place!

Appetizers and food were incredible. Only negative was the limited menu. We were celebrating an anniversary and the atmosphere was perfect. Felt like super high end bistro but the prices were very fair. Quality spot if you are in bar Barbour.

Great dinner! We loved the pork belly, salmon and duck confit. I think our favorite was the duck but everything was amazing! Plenty of parking for dinner and great service.

Went here 5 years ago and was absolutely blown away. Returned for our first time back to Bar Harbor since then and wasn't as impressed. New location, new server. Our server was brand new (not to the island but the restaurant) and wasn't great. We ordered a bunch of apps and 1 entree and all the apps were piled on our very small 2 person table. We poured our own wine from the bottle. That being said, the food did not disappoint yet again. Really well done food to make up for the lackluster service. Would probably come back again.

Loved the food here! Came with my husband and our two friends and each of our dishes were wonderful and full of flavor. Portion for my scallops was a little smaller that Is have wanted, but due to me being gluten free I couldn't have the pasta that the scallops were meant to come with. We ordered olives as a side and they were SO. DAMN. GOOD. We are still talking about those olives days later. There was some kind of a citrusy oil marinade. Yum! We had flourless chocolate cake for dessert which rocked. Service was awesome and attentive. I'd definitely go back!!

Absolutely divine! Every single dish was fantastic. We had the crab soup and mixed greens to start. The crab was fresh and plentiful while the greens were crisp and the dressing delicious. We got the salmon and duck which were cooked to perfection. The duck skin was crispy and the meat very moist. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was fresh and tasty. For dessert, we ventured to the Stilton blue cheese, poached pear and truffle honey. OMG! Mind blowing perfection! Honesty we did not expect this and were very pleasantly surprised. Best duck we've ever had! Don't miss this little gem of a restaurant.

Mache Bistro is imho your best dining option for Bar Harbor. French influenced cuisine, the service, preparations, and flavors are excellent. After being disappointed by other options in BH, we checked out MB and really liked it. The duck is cooked to perfection, and the scallops with herbs de provence were superb. The lobster taco appetizer was also very good. The ultimate vote of approval of any restaurant is would you go back. We enjoyed MB, and two nights later we were back for dinner (we would've gone the next night but they are closed on Sunday and Monday). Best to make reservations, and the location at the end of Main St. is a nice walk away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

The food is wonderful. I will dream about it for months I am sure. Some of the best food I've ever eaten in my whole life!

Great service, creative dishes, a nice quiet spot a little distance from the chaos and noise of downtown. Very pleased, wish it was closer to home!

Amazing food and great service. It's smaller and quiet. It's the perfect place to get out of the noise of BH proper. I've been multiple times and have never been disappointed.
