No samples? Every other ice cream spot in bar harbor offers samples. What makes you any different? Are they not also affected by the spoons, the time? Just such bull. Overpriced ice cream with rude cashiers. Every other ice cream spot is better, allows sampling with nicer employees.

Come here for the blueberry ice cream, you will not be disappointed! The texture so creamy and dense that it's almost chewy, with a lot of natural blueberry flavor.

I forgot the second flavor we tried (I think it was Maine sea salt caramel?), but it was a bit too sweet for me. My partner liked it though. The texture of that one was almost like caramel sauce.

Visited bar harbor recently and stumbled into the original MDIIC! We love the DC location and always thought it was an odd name for an ice cream shop in DC... just like the DC location this place is fantastic :-)

Gourmet ice cream spot with so many flavors to choose from. The ice cream has a beautiful texture and it's a great treat in any weather.

If you can't try the flavors how are you going to know if you are going to like it? This place does not let you sample but they have some interesting flavor combinations and they are not all good. We got the butter brickle and the honey spice bread with orange marmalade. The brickle was basically a butter pecan with prices of brickle in it. Both ice creams were very creamy, so they definitely have the texture down. But the orange marmalade was horrible, and if I would have gotten it by itself i would have thrown it out and just wanted money here. So like las Vegas come here to gamble and hope you get lucky.

Really nice ice cream. How's it so thick and chewy? You can pull it with a spoon like a pizze cheese pull.

So good we went 3 times during our visit.

Didn't get a chance to try the blueberry sorbet, made the mistake of not just getting a flight (four small scoops) the first time. Just get the flight if you want to try a bunch of flavors!

Cute little shop, got the flight with four flavors: Brigadeiro, cinnamon and cardamom, pumpkin, mint and basil. The mint and basil was so refreshing and delicious. The cinnamon and cardamom reminds me of chai tea and was also delicious. The other two were a bit rich and dense.

This is the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life.

I believe this is the most delicious ice cream in the entire state of Maine! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, the service is impeccable, and the staff is always smiling and friendly. Honestly, this is the best ice cream I’ve ever had! Made with no artificial colors or ingredients, just pure flavor! I highly recommend trying flavors like Lemon Poppy Jam, Peanut Butter, Callebaut Chocolate, Cookies n' Cream and the Maine Sea Salt Caramel is absolutely divine! The best part? A double scoop cost me less than $10. If you're ever in Maine, this place is a must-visit!

Ice cream flavors run from your usual vanilla and chocolate to eclectic flavors such as honey cake with orange marmalade and lamington (coconut cream ice cream with sponge cake, coconut flakes, fudge swirl). Amazing!!!!!!
