dinner was delicious. felt rushed. out in 30 minutes. expected some bread before meal. would have lingered with another glass of wine if we had gotten some bread or something to nosh on while waiting
The Duck marsala dish was not for me. Maybe a mistake was made. Not sure what the hard chunks/bits were in the marsala sauce that the duck was resting on, but it had the texture of dry chicken and did not taste like a mushroom I've had before. It was a powerful flavor like aged cheese. I almost wonder if some cheese or something fell into the marsala sauce. I couldn't eat it as it didn't go with the flavors in the dish. We sat out on the patio and it was just nice — relaxed, cozy, and great for people-watching. The service was awesome the whole time: super friendly, checked in when needed, but didn’t hover. The place itself is really clean and has that warm “you’re gonna eat well here” vibe, and the smells coming out of the kitchen were incredible.
