They have an allergen sheet on hand that can help identify vegan options or what can be made vegan. The hummus, curry soup, and brussels salad were vegan as is. Tried the hummus and it was delicious!
We ate at Project Social twice while in Bar Harbor on vacation and loved it both times. Over those two visits we tried the banh mi toast, prosciutto toast, hummus, scallops, chowder, lamb kofta, and beef skewers. Everything was fun and delicious. I wasn't as impressed with the cocktails I had for the price ($13-16/each) but I enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the cool ambiance.

Service and food were excellent. Enjoyed the scallops, lamb, butternut squash soup and blueberry crepe. Everything was excellent and the staff were so nice. Visited twice during our trip, enjoyed the beer garden and the dinner side!

We hoped this not too terribly expensive establishment would serve tasty food. We ordered the kale & brussels salad, the scallops, and the lobster crepe. While the presentation was lovely, the scallops and lobster crepe were tasteless. They need new cooks in the kitchen.

My wife and I tried 6 or 7 items to share, and we enjoyed each and every one. There were a lot of great flavors in the Kale and Brussels Salad, the Carnita Tacos, and the Mussels. Well done! And the outdoor atmosphere by the water Lilly pond was very cool. We’d go back again.

I was ready to give this place 5 stars after my first visit as it was amazing. The waitress was so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. But our 2nd visit was a total letdown. We just wanted a few small plates (crab cakes, tiramisu, and a latte) and were seated on the left side of the restaurant, which the hostess said was more self-serve. Basically, we had to go up to a little side window to order from the bartender, then wait for our names to be called. I get that since we weren’t having a full meal, they didn’t want us taking up a table, but the system just didn’t work.
The bartender was slammed making drinks for the main dining area, so we stood there awkwardly for 10–15 minutes, not sure when we’d even get to order. After that, we wanted some water, but had no idea where to get it. No one walked by this section, so there was literally no one to ask. It honestly felt like we were forgotten about.
The food itself was still great here (the crab cakes and lobster crepe were standouts), but the whole self-serve setup left a bad taste in my mouth. I just don’t get the point of having that section if it isn’t run in a way that actually works.
