Loved the vibe here

We dined here on our last night after spending a week in Bar Harbor and it was incredibly awesome. We tried all the following food tapas style Caesar salad, Oysters, Scallops, Mussels, Crab cakes, Lobster crepes, Duck tacos, Beef skewers, Barbacoa toast, Carnitas tacos, and Prosciutto toast no desert because we had Blueberry pie to finish back at our Airbnb.

The chief stopped by to check on us too!.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had in my 55 years on this planet!

A really funky, fun place with excellent, well thought out cocktails, lovely presentation.

So I live under a rock. First time in Maine never had lobster. First restaurant I tried here in Bar Harbor. Food here was delicious, vibes were on point. Had no idea lobster rolls are like $45, because market price. I spent $230 and left hungry, but I had fun.

Disappointed! Was excited to try the lobster crepe, but it came smothered in oil from the pancetta. No lobster inside the crepe, only the butternut squash with some lobster meat sprinkled on top. Mentioned to waitress who did not do anything but say “must be the butter”. For the amount we paid it was definitely NOT worth it. Couldn’t finish my meal because it was so oily (Crepe was swimming in it) and very little actual lobster meat to be called a lobster crepe. Maybe a pancetta crepe. Even so we ordered a desert one and paid extra for strawberries and bananas, if I out all the pieces of the fruit together maybe I would get 1 full strawberry and an eighth of a banana. I understand it’s tapas, but o still paid extra for a three thin slices of strawberry? Will not be returning.

We found this restaurant kind of randomly on our vacation, and it was the best meal we had in Bar Harbor by FAR!! Friendly staff that immediately offered us blankets and heaters on a cold night, whimsical garden atmosphere, delicious cocktails in beautiful glassware, and incredible food in a variety of cuisines. The plating and presentation was gorgeous, backed up by mouth watering tapas that kept us wanting more! The servers/kitchen did a great job coursing everything out so we had the perfect rotation of flowing food for the entire hour we were there. And they got us out on time so we could make it to our next activity! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return someday.

We were only in town for one day and we stumbled in without a reservation (weekday). Such a cool, relaxed vibe. The food and drinks were incredible!

Great spot! Everything we had was delicious; nothing was just mediocre. Our waitress was friendly and went out of her way to make our experience notable. Highly recommend the mezcal cocktail with coconut. The scallops were my favorite food item.

Decided to come to Project Social in Bar Harbor because we wanted to avoid the touristy and typical mediocre food scene.
This place was a sure fire winner for us! It was a delightful dining experience with a welcoming and attentive staff, particularly Wendy, who was an absolute gem. The menu was amazing! We didn’t put one bad thing in our mouth. Ordered a variety of delicious dishes, duck tacos, kale and Brussels sprout salad, carrots, lobster roll, potatoes, butternut squash soup, beef skewers, all of which were absolutely exceptional. The miso sour cocktail and destination fennel were also noteworthy.
As for the restaurant— we sat outdoors. Friendly dogs all around, people enjoying their evenings with friends and lucked out with fabulous weather.
They had quick service and a great enjoyable atmosphere. Loved the decor and the attention to detail— the flatware, glassware, and plates were individually unique, which added to the one-of-a-kind experience.
Overall, Project Social is a must-visit for its excellent food and inviting ambiance. We will be back (esp to see Wendy— Thank you for taking such great care of us!)
