We were only in town for one day and we stumbled in without a reservation (weekday). Such a cool, relaxed vibe. The food and drinks were incredible!

A very fun place! Those drinks were Weiner stuff, but still great! The food was so unique and delicious. Will definitely return during our next trip to beautiful Bar Harbor!

Great spot! Everything we had was delicious; nothing was just mediocre. Our waitress was friendly and went out of her way to make our experience notable. Highly recommend the mezcal cocktail with coconut. The scallops were my favorite food item.

Decided to come to Project Social in Bar Harbor because we wanted to avoid the touristy and typical mediocre food scene.
This place was a sure fire winner for us! It was a delightful dining experience with a welcoming and attentive staff, particularly Wendy, who was an absolute gem. The menu was amazing! We didn’t put one bad thing in our mouth. Ordered a variety of delicious dishes, duck tacos, kale and Brussels sprout salad, carrots, lobster roll, potatoes, butternut squash soup, beef skewers, all of which were absolutely exceptional. The miso sour cocktail and destination fennel were also noteworthy.
As for the restaurant— we sat outdoors. Friendly dogs all around, people enjoying their evenings with friends and lucked out with fabulous weather.
They had quick service and a great enjoyable atmosphere. Loved the decor and the attention to detail— the flatware, glassware, and plates were individually unique, which added to the one-of-a-kind experience.
Overall, Project Social is a must-visit for its excellent food and inviting ambiance. We will be back (esp to see Wendy— Thank you for taking such great care of us!)

So good we went twice! Truly one of the best dining experiences of my life. We decided to go on our vacation based off rave reviews and ended up loving it so much we went back for happy hour appetizer and drinks the next day. I loved the small plates so I could try a lot of things. My favorites were the prosciutto toast and the crab cakes. The chef here or whoever is coming up with the dishes is truly a visionary. Chefs kiss, 10/10, I'm only sad I'll probably never be able to experience this restaurant again!

I recently visited the Project Social Kitchen & Bar Restaurant for what I hoped would be a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell short in several areas. Upon arrival, the outdoor area was poorly maintained, which set a disappointing tone before we even entered the restaurant.
Once seated, our experience with the staff was less than ideal. I inquired about the wine selection on the happy hour list. I was surprised by how cheap the wine offered was and wanted to understand why that wasn’t mentioned beforehand. Instead of providing a helpful explanation, the waiter became defensive about the feedback, which made the conversation uncomfortable. Then when the second waitress took over, she never introduced herself. There was a clear disconnect between the service and the food, and it became evident throughout the evening. As for the food, while it was okay, it certainly did not justify the high price tag, especially considering the subpar service we received. The combination of an unkempt entrance, indifferent service, and a lack of attention to detail left us feeling like we overpaid for an experience that was far from satisfying.

The self service style was not explained well to us when we were seated. There was no direction to the silverware and plates that we had to grab ourselves. At the order window, the server did not write down our order and we received 2 incorrect drinks (that we didn’t order) and that they tried to charge us for. The crab cakes we ordered came 45 minutes after all our other food and there was a shell (or something similar) in one of them. When we disputed the bill (the incorrect drinks), we were given funny looks from the wait staff while it was corrected. When we used the restroom, there was no hand soap. Overall a genuinely unpleasant experience.

Great restaurant. Sat outside and was dog friendly. Kale and brussel salad was delicious. Lobster crepe was a little too oily but tasted great. Drinks were nicely made. Potatoes bravas had a nice kick to them

Unique spot where you are surrounded in what seems like an outdoor rock garden filled with items from an antique shop. Service was very friendly but slow at times. We tried 4 different tapas and although good they were not at a level we expected reading the reviews. Cost was steep but worth a try when in the area, you won't see another restaurant like this one. Side note, although we didn't sit at the bar I snapped a pic as it is very cool looking.
