Lobster Bisques
Fried seafood was super oily/greasy. Tasted like it was cooked in old oil with 5 other types of food: yuck. Soup was bland. $65 for two for lunch before tip.

Fresh food just keeps proving itself over and over again here in Maine!
It was a very cool day, but since we were bundled up from our Lighthouse Cruise anways (which post cruise we got a 10% discount at this restraunt), we decided to eat lunch outside by the water.
The burger had an amazing chargrilled flavor, the Fresh Haddock fish sandwich was AMAZING, the fries were HOT and crispy and the HOT coffee w real cream warmed us up on this cold day. The ocean view was great! Service was good and friendly with the exception of the food runner who dropped our food and ran. This is one of those places where after every bite you're saying " This is so good!"

Nice outdoor decoration, but overall, including food wasn't very impressive. Would pick somewheres else next time.

I love that they allow dogs. The food was okay, my only complaint is that they do not offer the option of serving warm lobster rolls. I get that lobster rolls are traditionally served cold because it traveled better and keeping the lobster chilled helped prevent bacterial growth. But let's be real, we're in a restaurant, nobody is traveling, it's cold in October, lobster rolls served warm on a cold day should at least be an option for patrons who preferred. A lot of places in Maine have that option available.

Lobster experience...
The place is beautiful and I was accompanied by a group of twelve people visiting Acadia Park for a weekend. I was made to sit on an outdoor picnic table - I don't understand this choice of furniture for a restaurant, it's not great.
Like many in my group, I chose the “Lobster experience” (market price: 61 USD and ++) or table d'hôte because I wanted a memorable meal for my first stay at Parc Acadia. The lobster was OK, but nothing more with a musty aftertaste, small, non-generous portions of appetizer and desert (clam chowder in a cup of coffee). The table service was efficient, but without great enthusiasm, even a slightly unpleasant waitress.
What shocked me the most was the price at the end of a non-exceptional meal. We were charged a mandatory 20% tip for our entire group of twelve. The reason: “big pool party” or more than 6 people. To put it simply, it gives me the strange feeling of being scammed.
However, it was indicated on the invoice “tip might be increase or decrease”. Also, the organizer of our group's activity has come to this restaurant about ten times over several years and this is the first that she has been charged a mandatory 20% tip in her group. I don't think she will come back to this restaurant in the future and neither will I.
service: 2½/5 (efficient, but waitress a little unpleasant)
meal: 2½/5 (limited portions, lobster with musty aftertaste)
price: 2/5 (overpriced): lobster exp = $90 us
atmosphere: 4/5
furniture: 1/5 (picnic table)
Quick stop for lobster bisque. Great creamy, buttery and flavourful bisque, 4 stars because for $15 (full ladle) the amount of lobster was dismal.

We came here the first night of our vacation and never found anything better, so we came back for our last night! Best fries and clam chowder, hands down.

A bit disappointing. The place is nice in accommodating dogs in the pseudo-outdoors seating area with heaters. However, the food was ok and smaller portions given the prices. The Basket of Rolls is fine, but expensive for what amounts to a handful of rolls that could have come from a supermarket. The Coastal Seafood Dip came with surprisingly few chips (which should be cheap!) and a very small portion of the dip itself, which doesn't have a strong seafood flavor. The Pier House Catch was also small portion, and everything was a bit soggy and under seasoned. The Crab Roll was pretty good though, with a nice tasty portion of the crab salad!

Food is decent but $38 for a lobster roll is insane.

Top lobster restaurant near the end of the point in Bar Harbor. It looks small at the front but inside it extends along a pier with great views of the harbor. The atmosphere is nice downstairs and the experience lived up to our expectations. We had a clam chowder and shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. The shrimps were much smaller than we expected but tasted good. For $20 we expected slightly larger shrimp. The cup of clam chowder ($10) was delicious and buttery and filling. We weren’t very hungry after the apps so we split a haddock sandwich. That sandwich was excellent! The fish was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. It came with spicy sliced pickles on the side and they were fantastic the slaw was really good and the fries were some of the best we’ve had. Our waiter was very good and made great recommendations. I recommend Stewmans. We didn’t try any lobster because we’d been eating lobster (whole, rolls, bisques and tacos) for days so take this review in context of a restaurant with lobster in its name and we didn’t try any.

Huge restaurant. Had the naked lobster roll with hot butter, the butter was cold. The rest of the food was good. Drinks were good.
