We visited last fall and Testa's was hands down the best place we dined at. The staff was prompt and friendly, the food was perfect, and we even had a great view from our table on the 2nd floor.

Only have eaten here once but will definitely go back. Very friendly and kind service. Front desk hostess went above and beyond to get us a high top chair.

I have nothing positive to say about this place. It may have gotten a higher rating, but it was FREEZING in the dining room. Almost everybody had their winter coat and hat on. Service was mediocre at best and it took forever to get the check. My chicken sandwich was pretty bland and the kettle chips are SO SALTY. Not that u am returning to Maine any time soon but save your time and wait for another restaurant.

Enjoyed an excellent meal at Testas! I started with a grilled shrimp, spinach and kale caeser salad..my entrée was the blackened haddock tacos..both were exceptionally prepared and aesthetically pleasing! Also got a Bar Harbor blueberry wheat ale..which was very tasty!! My seat was on the second floor, overlooking Frenchmans Bay..my server was very personable and attentive! Overall, it was a fine dining experience..would definitely return next year!!

Best lobster mac n cheese ever! Ate outside on a crisp fall day, peach and blueberry margarita set the mood. Prime rib and tomato basil soup was also very good. Great wait staff.

The food was really good. We ordered a plate of pastries for the table-cinnamon donut...not a cinnamon roll, a blue berry donut and blueberry muffin. And chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry French toast, and an egg muffin. The blue berry French toast was a little over spiced, and overall miss, it was supposed to be stuffed but it wasn't stuffed at all. The eggs muffin was everything you'd expect and the potatoes were amazing. The chocolate chip pancakes were really good.It was really chilly in the restaurant. I expect a sense of cozy when I'm out to eat, but the doors were wide open and it was 50 outside.

The food and service was great like everyone else says, but I thought I would leave a few tips if you plan on visiting this restaurant. We arrived around 6:00PM on a Thursday night and there was a wait. I would try and call ahead to get a reservation since this is a very popular place. Luckily, we “only” had to wait about 30 minutes without a reservation, but the people after us had longer wait times. If you do have a wait, go to the bar! Drop your family off first to get in line, and then have someone park the car. That will save you some time since the parking can be difficult. Many of the adult beverages have blueberries in them. Try them, they are good (margarita, martini). Ask for Samantha, she was very responsive and did a great job waiting on us. The tables are a little too close together so it does have a feel that you are on top of each other. If this was helpful, please let me know.

This restaurant has been in business many years and was recommended by a local, and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was Ivan, who was so knowledgeable, courteous, and gave great service. We started our meal with the chowda fries that were absolutely amazing! The clam chowder was so good that my husband ordered an extra cup of the “house” homemade clam chowder. Our party also ordered the fried shrimp with blueberry Thai sauce which was very tasty. For our meals, we had the fried lobster tacos, The scampi lobster roll, and a regular lobster roll. They were the best lobster rolls that we had on our entire Maine trip! This place feels upscale but yet not white tablecloth. The prices were very reasonable and quality of food exceptional. This is our second trip to Bar Harbor and we wished we had known about it on our last trip. This is our favorite place to date and is a hidden gem !

Simple but fantastic lunch, the blackened haddock sandwich was a perfect portion and delicious. Even fries and chips were good with it. Staff was friendly and accommodating to our seating requests.

Came for breakfast and it was pretty good! Service was quick and meals were feeling. My friend ordered the lobster Benedict and she did mention the lobster seemed a bit “chewy” compared to other restaurants see had been to during our Maine trip. Blueberry pancakes were fantastic. Great tea choices. The bacon was VERY overcooked, almost too hard to bite into. More of a bar feel than a diner or breakfast spot but we had a nice view outside. I would come back if in the area.

I can not say this enough - DELICIOUS FOOD!!! Highly recommend the lobster mac and cheese (don't forget to add bacon!) and the shrimp tacos. The lobster mac and cheese was fantastic, and they packed that dish FULL of lobster meat!!! It was worth every penny.Definitely did not skimp out on the drinks, and left feeling full & satisfied. Super nice waitstaff and food came out quickly!Next time we are in the state... WE WILL BE BACK!
