The best part about dining at The Terrace Grill is the view across the harbor toward Bar Island. It’s stunning. Next is the service. Our server, Kim, did an excellent job balancing checking on us and giving us space. She paid special attention to details with our order and answered our questions about the harbor and the community. Finally, the food was very good and well presented. My wife had the Blueberry salad with Salmon which was outstanding. I had the fish tacos with grilled haddock and they were quite tasty. The sauce and salsa had excellent flavor. The fish was a little dry. The prices were quite reasonable and I would definitely go back.

Best restaurant in Bar Harbor. I’m still dreaming about the Lobster Bisque and Lobster Rolls. Bisque was hot and tasty. Roll was sturdy and didn’t fall apart. Also best blueberry pie and ice cream we had. And the atmosphere of being under the umbrellas next to the water was perfect.

We visited the terrace on a beautiful sunny day. The views are amazing and the service is friendly. Their Ceasar salad was the best I ever had. Everyone in the party tried different things; the lobster bisque was OK snd their clam chowder was fantastic.

Came here on a lark with no reservations so waited just long enough to have a smoked blueberry margarita. Best decision of the day. View goes very with lobster pappardelle. Hubs had steamed lobster plate. Both dishes amazing. Restaurant is on the shore path so an after dinner stroll is a must. Friendly and accommodating to my service dog os always appreciated.

Such a beautiful spot to have a meal! We got into town a little late, checked in to the Bar Harbor Inn, and immediately went to the Terrace. Highly recommend the Steak sandwich and a bowl of lobster bisque! Service was stellar, too!

So, in full transparency, we wouldn’t know how good the food was, we left before being served. It was the least accommodating staff and service imaginable. Ended up leaving and going to Stewmans down the street instead, it was a much better experience, warm and cozy in the sun, with food that was awesome.
Saved money, much more comfortable, and awesome staff, can’t wait to give them a good review next!!

My friend and I visited the Terrace Grill in Bar Harbor on a Sunday night and chose to sit outside by the fire pit. The view was absolutely lovely and really the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, service was very slow, and we nearly left while waiting for our server. He seemed a bit cold, which made the experience feel less welcoming.
We ordered an espresso martini, a blueberry mocktail, and the crab artichoke dip. Sadly, none of the food or drinks lived up to expectations, and everything felt quite expensive for what we received. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience, though the outdoor seating and view were enjoyable.

Great food, cocktails, and service. Our waitress was very friendly. This is a great restaurant to go to during sunset. The kitchen and seating is outside so they close, even if temporarily, when it rains. We had a 15 minute wait. They don’t take reservations.
several weeks ago, my spouse and i were in bar harbor (a very rare occasion due to the crowds) but we wandered over to the Inn to sit outside. we didn't even think we would eat but wanted a couple of drinks. they seated us at a nice table and we wound up ordering drinks, a shrimp cocktail and fish tacos. all excellent. on sunday, we walked over there with a friend to walk the shore path (crowds were thinned - shoulder season) and then thought how nice it would be to have a couple drinks on such a beautiful sunny day. we went over to the host and told him we'd like a seat for drinks and he asked us if we were eating. we said we weren't sure. there were at least 10 empty tables (230 pm); he said we couldn't sit at a table, directed us to the adirondack chairs, no umbrellas and we couldn't even sit together. we sat for a few minutes, blinded by the sun and got up and left. went somewhere else, had drinks and a couple appies, spent $135 and had a great afternoon. unfortunately we won't be back at BH Inn. it was a silly move on the management's part. boo

The view was beautiful. Kim our waitress was great. The food was mediocre. I don't understand how a bowl of potato chip crumbs can be considered an acceptable side. I would challenge the Bar Habor Inn to do better.

I ordered the cranberry chicken salad wrap. It had a HAIR in it. Yuck!! They made me a new wrap but I was turned off by that hair from the first wrap. Then they offered me a free dessert as compensation but I was full by then. I was never offered any other form of compensation. Have always enjoyed eating there but have to say this was a negative experience.

A fantastic experience!! The food presentation is delightful. Service was top notch for such a busy afternoon. The staff works well together and nobody seemed rushed. This was my first time here. It will not be the last. Breathtaking views from the outside patio area... Love this place!!!
