The sign when you arrive indicates a low workforce, but despite a busy Thursday evening with the concert in town, the 3-person crew was able to get through the large flow of patrons. If you get a basket (many choices available), I suggest going for the hand cut fries. Seafood and other diner staples are available. Grab an ice cream for dessert on your way out. A small cone is about 12 oz of ice cream.

I was a little bummed out with the lobster roll. I ordered and thrn heard the staff ask one another “do we have enough for one”. The answer should have been no. 26$ later, it was literally more lettuce than lobster. Its on my way home from work, but that will be my last trip.

We stopped here on our way home dropping our child off at camp. Although the restaurant is located far away from civilization the food was excellent. I had the hot dog special which came with two hot dogs and french fries. The hot dogs were excellent with buttered rolls toasted and fried hot dogs in the roll. I had mustard ketchup and onions on my hot dogs and they were perfect. The french fries were also excellent as they were hand cut and the right consistency for Friday french fries. We also ordered two lobster rolls which were very fairly priced at $25 a roll and very stuffed. We were offered either butter or mayo in the lobster roll and I chose buttered for the two of our lobster rolls. The lobster was succulents and fresh from Maine and as everyone says Maine lobster is the best! We also had an ice cream afterwards and I chose hard ice cream and it was delicious very creamy and the portion was huge. This is definitely a place to seek out on your next visit to Rome Maine.

Lovely hospitality, delicious food, and a choice of outdoor or indoor seating. Plus ice cream! It's a great stop for belgrade lakes lunch. We recommend the super fresh crunchy veggie wrap, the excellent lobster roll (butter), and the fried chicken sandwich. Hooray!

Maybe I’ll come back to try the ice-cream. The lobster roll was overpriced for the quantity given. My definition of fried food is hearing a crunch as I sink my teeth into it. No crunch. :(The staff are really nice however, overpriced food and small portions won’t do the trick for me lol. Thank you anyway.

An AWESOME place where you get real Maine summer food experience!!! Haddock baskets, burgers, Blueberry Floats and of course all the ice cream treats. To top it off, Nana and the staff are awesome and make sure food is always fresh made!! Will be back soon.

Frustrated because I sent my family out for ice cream and they know the difference between sorbet and sherbet and what I’m not allergic to. The guys at the counter today said 1, sorbet and sherbet are the same, and two, it didn’t have dairy. What I was given absolutely had dairy and I’m now living with the

Came in today, which was opening day for 2023. I ordered the clam strip basket. It was about $25, and was easily 90 percent french fries. Both the fries and the whole belly clams were under fried. I’ll be back, but only for ice cream.

Ordered two lobster rolls and a bottle of locally made root beer (which was excellent) - the wait wasn’t too bad and the lobster rolls came in a box with potato chips - i’ve had better lobster rolls but as it’s so conveniently located by my camp on Great Pond, I wouldn’t rule it out for another visit.

It was amazing. Best service had our food in less than 10 minutes. The old lady that was serving us was so funny.

Lobster roll was alright, the meal we ordered was over priced and needed more flavor. Icecream is great and they serve big portions.

Lobster roll review! This lobster roll was such a nice surprise! At first I was disappointed about the amount of lobster in the roll (even with a nice large claw on top), but once I bit in, I was in heaven. The lobster meat was tender and sweet; the mayo was in perfect ratio to the lobster, well-seasoned, and complemented the sweetness of the lobster without being overpowering.I ended up loving the amount of lobster in the roll because the bun was beautifully toasted with a hint of butter, and it meant every bite was a great combination of sweet cold lobster chunks and warm buttery bread. Fabulous!Admittedly, the service was a bit slow, but given that there was one cook and about 20 to our party, totally understandable. I will say that despite the pressure the cook must have been feeling, everything was well made and above par. Worth the price! Worth the trip! Definitely worth coming back again!

All I had was ice cream. It was good though. Staff is very friendly and SUPER FAST.

I’ve been coming here for years for ice cream over the summers. Absolutely love this place. Only thing is I wanted to try Mississippi Mud pie. That was at the end of the day so it was understandable. Excellent customer service!
