“We arrived on a rainy Saturday night. The service was wonderful and the food was as well. We tried the stuffed mushrooms and beef Wellington. Both were quite good. My mother and I had the baked haddock and it was incredible. Beautifully cooked and served on a bed of steamed spinach with pine nuts, parsley and sun dried tomatoes. Dad had the filet and was very pleased with it. Our server was so attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Sadie's Boathouse.”
“The sign when you arrive indicates a low workforce, but despite a busy Thursday evening with the concert in town, the 3-person crew was able to get through the large flow of patrons. If you get a basket (many choices available), I suggest going for the hand cut fries. Seafood and other diner staples are available. Grab an ice cream for dessert on your way out. A small cone is about 12 oz of ice cream.”
“I've had my eye on this restaurant for quite some time, but having two young children doesn't allow us much opportunity to try new places as a couple. Well, tonight we had a babysitter and I saw that the Village had fondue night. What an awesome experience! From the super friendly woman who answered the phone when I called to make reservations, to the complimentary desert, to the cozy atmosphere and everything in between, I was so impressed. I cannot wait to bring my sister back for another fondue night. Highly recommend!!”
“The atmosphere is a combination of family restaurant & bar combined. The restaurant is extremely casual. My server was wearing a T-shirt, biking/exercise shorts, and I think Crocs. I ordered the fish soup which was mediocre; it was too salty, and it had a cream-based broth that was actually thin. I also had the fish tacos which were excellent! The fish in the tacos was breaded and deep-fried, the vegetables were fresh, and the sauce was delicious. When I am in the area again I will go back and try some other menu items. Service was fine, I didn't wait too long for my food to arrive, my server was requisitely friendly.Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly restaurant. Some tables had families with young children.”
“Always have something..and owner/cook remembers for last 30 years...fries Always goo..get extra ketchup...I get hamburger with fried onions and ketchup....good folks own and run the place!!!”
“Located on Water Street in downtown Waterville, this brewpub is a popular restaurant/pub that specializes in thincrust pizza that is excellent. They also serve salads and dessert. The service is excellent and friendly. This is an open environment with larger tables for larger groups or more intimate tables for four scattered throughout. This is a nice spot for families or just adults.”
“This is the best Thai restaurant in Maine. The 2nd favorite of mine is Pinto Thai to Go. You don't need any other Thai food if you have these two. Thai with us uses high quality ingredients. I have never been served the 'fancy' little mushrooms anywhere else. Best crab rangoons in Maine. Tom Yum soup. Be careful when you get Drunken Noodles though. The chef makes them extra spicy so I stopped ordering them there. Everyrhing else is AMAZING. Curries and noodle dishes alike, poetry in motion.Vegetarian options: There are several, clearly labeled vegetarian dishes.”
“When in Maine a lobster roll is a MUST! Red Barn in Augusta has the friendliest service, massive portions, and a down home feel. I had a lobster roll with drawn butter and it was the best and meatiest lobster roll I've had in years. We also ordered a snack (lunch size) of fried clams, onion rings, and fried vegetables. The breading on everything didn't taste or feel super greasy, just a tender breading with light seasoning.”
“We really love this place!! The ice cream is wonderful, the service very friendly and Im so happy its open all winter because..........yes ice cream is good in the winter too!! ?”
“This place is very unique for where it is. Food is refined and definitely worth the trip. Drinks are strong and precise. The Maine crab stuffed haddock is a killer dish as are the fried croutons arugula salad with tomatoes and goat cheese . In such a small town this is truly exceptional putting it lightly.”
“Food was absolutely wonderful! Very tasty. My man brought me here on a date, it has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. We came on chocolate ship cookie day so we got 2 cookies, 2 sandwiches, and 2 drinks. Only down side was it is a bit pricey, about $32 for all of that. Otherwise very good!!”
“I am not sure why it's taken me so long to write a review, but here it goes.Hands down our favorite restaurant in the Augusta area. The food is always amazing, fresh, and different compared to what's offered around the area. We loved their food and service so much, that we chose to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here. Eli (Chef) was very easy to work with, as I'm kind of a picky pants and he changed our menu around a few times. He had the restaurant decorated with flowers and candles. The place looked so inviting, but also casual (as this is our style). He accommodated our love for metal music with a great Playlist as well. The food was on point (as it always is!) And our guests were very impressed with the food. We still get compliments about our dinner and it was back in 2021. I honestly can't say enough great things about The Oak Table. Totally worth going if you haven't tried it and if you have tried it and haven't gone back, what's your deal?!Amazing food!Amazing service!Amazing experience!”
“Excellent food and service! Very pleasant environment to eat in with alot of family and friends there friendly and cheerful! Quality of food is outstanding! I’d give it a 5 star rating!”
“Best quick bite in town remaining. Family owned & operated for as long as I know of. Many pizza options, sandwiches, subs, & Greek food to choose from and always hot & ready in like 15 minutes.Parking: Anywhere in the lot, pavement is a bit rough & people can be a bit quick pulling in or out of the sometimes tight space”
“I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while but they're usually closed. Finally tried it today and they did not disappoint. My friend and I were both very impressed with the quality of the food and atmosphere. I will be back.”
“Nice little bar and grill. Food and service was great. Not very busy for a late lunch in the fall. Awesome that we have ATV trail access to eat here! Thank you to the Messalonskee Riders ATV Club.”
“This is an adorable little place on the inside! Tucked away in a quiet area of Augusta so it feels like a cute and quiet place that’s perfect for date night! The food was delicious! We got a chicken pad Thai, an avocado unagi maki, spicy udon soup, and a taro boba tea. The only comment we had was that the udon noodles themselves were a little mushy. Other than that, the broth was delicious! Before this experience I was convinced I didn’t like tapioca bobas, only the popping ones but these bobas were soft and had a good bounce to them. We will absolutely be back again and loved all the food we picked up!”
“Great service, food, coffee and people.Pro Tip: if you are getting a mocha latte, ask for the syrup - it’s great. Without it, they use a powder, and the drink tastes like plain/chalky coffee.”
“You will never go wrong here. The prices are the same as Dennys on most dishes. The drinks from the bar are excellent. Desserts will blow your mind. Clean, new place, super friendly staff. This is food with just the right flavor. You want to experience a genuine dining experience this is it, and the fact that this place is partly owned by a combat disabled vet, makes me happy to spend my time and money here!!”
“It's a great place to eat, and great service, but 1st timers should know that, as crazy as it sounds in 2024, they don't accept plastic. Cash only! They have an ATM on site, but it's quite inconvenient to have to do so and what of the machine doesn't work? Back in your car, to another ATM? Why bother! Well, their food is excellent so, you might want to bother.Parking: Most likely the closest spaces are taken, but there will be a few at the end 9f the lot. Good luck.”
“We love going to Duckie buddies, the treats are yummy and sweet but the owner Vanessa is even sweeter!! Always makes us feel so welcomed there and so accommodating. We always try to stop by when we are in the area!”
“I order online so the pick up takes just a minute. My favorite bagel place so I'm glad Augusta has its own now!Rosemary olive oil bagel with chive cream cheese is my absolute favorite. Better quality and better prices than the other bagel place in Augusta as well as better service, so I am glad to switch.”
“This is a compact golf course, with some interesting holes and features. Its close by and they have specials on golf. I love to go there in the late afternoon, and meet some friendly golfers, and have a nice walk in woods at twilight!”
“We stopped in for lunch when we were in Augusta. Fun atmosphere, cozy, comfy. Super nice staff. The food was delicious. Pastrami sandwich with garden salad, shrimp tacos and mac n chz.”
“Omg..where to start! We had quick service and since it was our first time there the waitress had some very good recommendations. Make sure you try their Sweet Tea Moonshine..you will not be disappointed!!”
“Great food. Never had anything that was not good. It can get a bit crowded when they are busy but there is no way to eliminate that. It is always worth the 20 minute drive to the other side of town.”
“Thinking this is the best thai food in the state. We've tried nearly all of them. We are always delighted when coming here. Can get vegan. They understand a good Tom Kha, veggie fried rice and Papaya Salad. They have always had papaya salad everytime we've ordered it. Their bubble tea is great too. Friendly staff with nice smiles. Clean too and comfortable atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Can accommodate vegans, just mention what you need and they're happy to do it. I order papaya salad without fish sauce no problem.Kid-friendliness: We have a toddler and it is always comfortable dining in. They have booths.”
“Food is fantastic, people are friendly. Benches aren't the most comfortable but definitely worth putting up with for the food. My favorite thing there is the blarney stones.Kid-friendliness: They have a small kids menu with the usual stuff on it, as well as kids cups with lids which I appreciate greatly.”
“Pretzel with beer cheese was awesome. Wife had the Ashley sandwich and I had the Dunkin Doug, both were great and filling. Good music great staff.Parking: Gravel lot for parking.Wheelchair accessibility: It is a gravel lot with pavement in the front of the building with a ramp.”
“The food here is amazing. I drive from Portland once a month to get cinnamon buns. The owners are fantastic and the staff is very kind I would highly recommend checking this place out!”
