“Went here for their ramenfest, it was amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, FREE juice boxes for my little guys. We got the charcuterie board, pork belly ramen, goose and duck ramen that had these AMAZING candied snow fungus mushrooms and the beef pho!! Not a bad bite was had!! Highly recommend checking this place out, it's about 45min from us but the drive was nice and it's a gorgeous spot. Can't wait to go back and try out their regular menu.”
“The Iraqi Kebab Market is where I go when I'm craving flavor. Prices are very reasonable, especially for portion size, and the food is consistently great. We got a friend their Iraqi pickles and baklava set from the grocery side of the store and he loved them. It's fun to try a little drink whenever we go: my boyfriend is a big fan of the yogurt drink and I am partial to a mango juice.Dietary restrictions: Everything is halal and there is no alcohol served.”
“The pizza here is HEAVENLY!! The Diner closes at 2pm pizza is one of the best I've had. Potatoes, bacon, cheese sauce, maple syrup, and a couple eggs on top are the base ingredients and wow do they work well together!!! Also highly recommend the Cony High Pie, the mill park pie and the crab Rangoon pizza. All 10/10! Staff have always been really attentive and pleasant. Really great atmosphere here, very relaxed but fun. The prices are good for the quality and amount of food you get. I will always jump at the chance to come here.”
“This is the best Thai restaurant in Maine. The 2nd favorite of mine is Pinto Thai to Go. You don't need any other Thai food if you have these two. Thai with us uses high quality ingredients. I have never been served the 'fancy' little mushrooms anywhere else. Best crab rangoons in Maine. Tom Yum soup. Be careful when you get Drunken Noodles though. The chef makes them extra spicy so I stopped ordering them there. Everyrhing else is AMAZING. Curries and noodle dishes alike, poetry in motion.Vegetarian options: There are several, clearly labeled vegetarian dishes.”
“This place is very unique for where it is. Food is refined and definitely worth the trip. Drinks are strong and precise. The Maine crab stuffed haddock is a killer dish as are the fried croutons arugula salad with tomatoes and goat cheese . In such a small town this is truly exceptional putting it lightly.”
“They have some of the best coffee and it's really nice to have a cafe in the area where you can sit and sip for a while. Their pastries are good, but nothing too spectacular and you never know which ones will be in stock. I find their cakes to be a little dry and overly sweet, although the lemon cake frosting tends to even that out. It's not somewhere I go regularly, but it's good for special occasions; the pastry boxes and tea time sets are very nice.”
“This place has become a must stop for me anytime I’m in Maine. The lobster roll was wicked reasonably priced and is one of the best I’ve ever had!! Fries are delicious and everything looks amazing! Vibes are classic small town mom and pop with great food. Can’t recommend enough!”
“We really love this place!! The ice cream is wonderful, the service very friendly and Im so happy its open all winter because..........yes ice cream is good in the winter too!! ?”
“My partner and I are in the process of moving to the area and were excited to see a little hole-in-the-wall diner right down the street from us, and it didn’t disappoint! I certainly wouldn’t go here looking for a fancy gourmet omelet or avocado toast, but if you want a good, simple, CHEAP breakfast this is clearly the place to go. For a combined $26 INCLUDING tax and a tip, we got a basic breakfast plate each including some combination of eggs/potatoes/toast/bacon/coffee along with a single slice of French toast to share, and it was plenty of food for the price. Service was good, it appears that there are just two women working there— one cooking, one serving, and while it certainly wasn’t busy when we went they handled everything very quickly and pleasantly. The place itself is super dated and could use some sprucing up, but honestly that’s part of the charm in my opinion. Breakfast here was like a pleasant trip in a time machine back to my childhood, and I would definitely go again for a quick bite or an affordable outing with some friends.”
“Always have something..and owner/cook remembers for last 30 years...fries Always goo..get extra ketchup...I get hamburger with fried onions and ketchup....good folks own and run the place!!!”
“Really enjoyed this meal! 4 courses, each thoughtful and delicious, at a good price point in central Maine. So why were we the only table on a Friday night? People, please patronize this restaurant! 3 states for atmosphere because it was 1. Empty 2. Too dark in front, too bright in back 3. Decor needs some work. But all of that is secondary to the food, which was good. I think they’re taking a hit for the lack of polish but don’t let that deter you. A rare bright spot in the overpriced, bland desert that is central Maine dining. I’ll be back, and I hope we’ll have some company next time!”
“This place had an interesting atmosphere. The food was good and presented well. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating.Parking: They screwed with the parking situation downtown in an attempt at gentrification to appeal to the college crowd's families. This resulted in far worse traffic and fewer parking spots. You may have to park in the Goodwill parking lot and walk, if there is room there.”
“I'm almost afraid to post this as I don't want to let the secret out. First time in, we stopped in for brunch. Had THE BEST sausage gravy I've ever had, and it's something I try everywhere I go. The wife even liked it, and she is normally not a fan. It was served over the most delicious, crunchy sourdough toast. Amazing! She had the steak bomb breakfast burrito and we both loved it. They didn't have hot coffee, but their iced coffee was a pretty good substitute. Waitstaff was pleasant, helpful, and very friendly. We will definitely be back to try lunch and dinner. Love the historic theme. It showcases an important part of the state's history in a really classy and tasteful way.Kid-friendliness: Strong pub vibes, so not really aimed at kids. No kids menu for brunch. That being said. We brought our 5 year old grandson. They were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. He had their French toast and bacon with chocolate milk(in a glass, but we made it work) He really enjoyed the river jack theme and we spent our meal looking at the photos and log Amp on the walls and talking about log drives”
“Sunrise has the best bagels in central Maine. Their sandwiches are awesome, too. The Hathaway and Sherwin are personal favorites. The Kennebec is the best pork roll you’ll find north of Jersey.”
“My fiancé and I went there today to grab some lunch for our very first time and I cannot say enough positive thingsThe staff was very welcoming & friendly the service was extremely quick. The atmosphere was very clean and we love the setup of the business itself. We ordered a side of mozzarella sticks and a Chicken tender basket and all I can say is WOW, the food was phenomenal and we’re definitely looking forward to going back!I highly recommend this place to everyone!Thank you to the owners/workers for excellent customer service”
“The food here was excellent! Fabulous grilled eggplant, scallops, dolmas, etc. Menu options are marked vegetarian, vegan and gluten free with many gluten free items to choose from. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and all the staff made us feel welcome. We were thrilled with our experience at Opa.Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummus, eggplant, pastas, etc.Dietary restrictions: Numerous gluten free items marked on the menu; dairy free also marked.Parking: Free parking lot at shopping center around the cornerKid-friendliness: Kids menu and staff who are friendly and interactive with kids.”
“So good! Excellent customer service. With food being made right before your eyes, it's ready in minutes, and worth any wait time from quick lunch rushes, etc.”
“Excellent food and service! Very pleasant environment to eat in with alot of family and friends there friendly and cheerful! Quality of food is outstanding! I’d give it a 5 star rating!”
“We love going to Duckie buddies, the treats are yummy and sweet but the owner Vanessa is even sweeter!! Always makes us feel so welcomed there and so accommodating. We always try to stop by when we are in the area!”
“I go here often. Highly experienced and professional food service in a warm, small town place where people say, “good morning.”Fresh food and fast service with a welcome feeling.”
“Very nice place, authentic Irish food and Irish beer and mixed drinks. Nice atmosphere, very attentive waitresses and bar tender. The owner showed us his unique toilet in the men's bathroom that he said he made himself. Very cool.”
“Best Haddock basket by far. I hate fish. My husband is from England and only eats fish and chips, it looked so good I asked for a bite and I can't wait to go back and get my own. The fish is moist, flaky, buttery, Melts in your mouth. The husband says it's the best around in our area. Friendly staff and clean environment.”
“Nice to see that an old-school bakery has survived in this day and age of everything becoming corporatized. They have a large selection and are quite busy. I like their bread rolls. They even have brown bread. Also, they have yummy eclairs. There's something probably here for everybody's taste.”
“Great food, innovative spin on traditional dishes. Fun upbeat lively atmosphere. Delightful servers, fast service -- excellent place to grab a bite before going to the Opera House for a performance or movie!”
“For those others who obsess over French fries, this is one of the very few places who do fries RIGHT. so good! All the food we've tried so far has been very good.”
“Delicious! Generous desert portion and fresh. Awesome spot for coffee and desert to celebrate a birthday.Parking: Handicap entrance back of restaurant with wide door and ramp.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doors, spare wheelchair available as courtesy, women's restroom has plenty of space for chair use”
“Omg..where to start! We had quick service and since it was our first time there the waitress had some very good recommendations. Make sure you try their Sweet Tea Moonshine..you will not be disappointed!!”
“This is an adorable little place on the inside! Tucked away in a quiet area of Augusta so it feels like a cute and quiet place that’s perfect for date night! The food was delicious! We got a chicken pad Thai, an avocado unagi maki, spicy udon soup, and a taro boba tea. The only comment we had was that the udon noodles themselves were a little mushy. Other than that, the broth was delicious! Before this experience I was convinced I didn’t like tapioca bobas, only the popping ones but these bobas were soft and had a good bounce to them. We will absolutely be back again and loved all the food we picked up!”
“Had my retirement luncheon here and the food was delicious. We ordered several appetizers and I had the baked stuffed fish. It was fabulous and big servings. Well worth the price.”
“Small business, clean and great company. We had a GREAT experience at two Hogs Winery. The very knowledgeable owner Ann helped my family have a great time taste testing her home made wine. I HIGHLY recommend stopping and taste testing these great wines. This was an awesome stop during our trip to Maine and would highly suggest taking a stop as this cute small business winery. My sister in law and I are big wine girls and we have never had wine that tasted quite like this. ? Cheers!!”
