“They have some of the best coffee and it's really nice to have a cafe in the area where you can sit and sip for a while. Their pastries are good, but nothing too spectacular and you never know which ones will be in stock. I find their cakes to be a little dry and overly sweet, although the lemon cake frosting tends to even that out. It's not somewhere I go regularly, but it's good for special occasions; the pastry boxes and tea time sets are very nice.”
“The food here was excellent! Fabulous grilled eggplant, scallops, dolmas, etc. Menu options are marked vegetarian, vegan and gluten free with many gluten free items to choose from. “So good! Excellent customer service. With food being made right before your eyes, it's ready in minutes, and worth any wait time from quick lunch rushes, etc.”

“Great food, innovative spin on traditional dishes. Fun upbeat lively atmosphere. Delightful servers, fast service -- excellent place to grab a bite before going to the Opera House for a performance or movie!”
“Visiting Maine from MD to work on a relatives home.Bought food here twice. Incredible! Staff was friendly and easy to deal with! Sandwiches and wraps are very plentiful! It's definitely worth the visit.”
“The Jewel of India is a locally owned non chain restaurant. They do a great job with friendly service and serving really amazing food. The staff does a great job of describing the menu and making sure your not getting a hot dish if your palette can't take it, buuut they will also kick up the heat if that's what u like. If your in waterville check this place out. It's well worth the stop.Dietary restrictions: Even though the menu doesn't say it they have lots of gluten free options. So ask your server about that.”
“Ordered takeout online and food was ready when it said it would be. Everything was still nice and warm by the time we got it home. Fries were crispy (I could have had more), no complaints on the steak bombs, and the wings were good too (didn't see an option online to get a side of ranch or anything, that would be nice). We'll definitely be back to try some other items. Prices are affordable.”
“Great environment and food. One of the better places in Waterville to eat dinner. We had an awesome server but I failed by forgetting her name. I highly recommend trying out Lions Den!The steak was cooked to perfection!! The artichoke dip was amazing as well.”
“Absolutely love this place! The ingredients are fresh, the food is made to order, pricing is good, and service is always friendly. I love their chefs menu and drinks, too! A big bonus is that they are always playing game show tv at the bar. We love coming here for casual date nights!”
“I do not know why this place don't have a Michelin star it is the best cuisine that I have tasted in a long time very best it's like you're sitting over in Italy at a five-star restaurant delicious!!!”
“Tried this place for the first time. The food was delicious. I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict. And while I prefer a little bit more acid in my hollandaise sauce, it was still very good and I would order it again...IF there weren't so many other tempting menu options - including their specials, which I failed to see before I ordered! So check those out! They also have some Southwestern/Mexican inspired breakfast options, which is nice to see (recent re-transplant from Arizona). And, my server, Crystal was fabulous. Friendly, energetic, engaging. Good service is hard to find these days, and serving is a tough job. I will definitely be back!”
“We were visiting the area with a large group of family and the restaurant was very accommodating. The restaurant was very nice with excellent decor and a superb atmosphere. The staff were very professional, attentive, and friendly. The food was out of this world and worth every penny. The quality was exceptional, and I asked to speak to the chef personally to praise him and his team. We highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Its always a five out of five when coming! The food is fantastic and always consistant. I always get a different sandwhich everytime because they are all so fantastic. The portions are perfect and I never feel overful or bloated from the food. The service is fantastic! They know my boyfriend and I by name that's how often we go. We always strike up great conversations with the crew! Everyone is fantastic! I look forward ro every time we go out to eat here! Would highly recommend! You won't regret it!”
“The Iraqi Kebab Market is where I go when I'm craving flavor. Prices are very reasonable, especially for portion size, and the food is consistently great. We got a friend their Iraqi pickles and baklava set from the grocery side of the store and he loved them. It's fun to try a little drink whenever we go: my boyfriend is a big fan of the yogurt drink and I am partial to a mango juice.Dietary restrictions: Everything is halal and there is no alcohol served.”
