“The food here was excellent! Fabulous grilled eggplant, scallops, dolmas, etc. Menu options are marked vegetarian, vegan and gluten free with many gluten free items to choose from. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and all the staff made us feel welcome. We were thrilled with our experience at Opa.Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummus, eggplant, pastas, etc.Dietary restrictions: Numerous gluten free items marked on the menu; dairy free also marked.Parking: Free parking lot at shopping center around the cornerKid-friendliness: Kids menu and staff who are friendly and interactive with kids.“

“What an exquisite slice of space in Waterville with the most delicious pizza in Maine! From wood fired oven, great crust, delicious sauce and all the toppings it's a clear winner. I'm vegan and delighted to report they can accommodate with vegan cheese. Of course they have that ooey gooey delicious dairy cheese as well. They have gluten free options. The vibe is off the beaten path and I found it completely inviting, warm and friendly. I've wanted to go for a few years when I housesit in the area but due to COVID they had take out only after 5 p.m.for a while. I'm not one to venture out too much after dark in the winter so was delighted to find they have dine in back. They still offer take out after 5 p.m. on certain days. I will frequent Grand Central Cafe and am telling my friends about this great find. The atmosphere just adds to their delicious pizza.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free options as well.“

“The Jewel of India is a locally owned non chain restaurant. They do a great job with friendly service and serving really amazing food. The staff does a great job of describing the menu and making sure your not getting a hot dish if your palette can't take it, buuut they will also kick up the heat if that's what u like. If your in waterville check this place out. It's well worth the stop.Dietary restrictions: Even though the menu doesn't say it they have lots of gluten free options. So ask your server about that.“

“I've had some really good espresso drinks here and just tried a breakfast sandwich and that was great too. I really like the atmosphere here. Big beautiful windows and high ceilings make it feel very open and airy. They seem a little shorthanded which is the only reason I gave four stars. The person at the counter was both in charge of orders, making drinks, and running the food. The person making cooking was also running food. Having to jump between jobs like that makes employees stressed and decreases quality. Still an excellent experience and would recommend, but hope that in summer they keep two people working out front.“
