“Traveling through Maine from Ohio. Saw Slates mentioned in a Maine tourist magazine. Met friends here and were totally impressed with the special menu. Our waiter, Michael, was the BEST. He shared with us the story of how the restaurant began and other interesting background information. The food was delicious. If we were going to be in the area longer we would definitely make it there again.“

They were very responsive with just the right amount of suggestion/recommendations to make it easy to plan. And the food far exceeded expectations! With multiple guests raving about the pesto chicken, mashed potatoes and Korean beef. And their grilled oysters!?!…the Texans who’d never tried oysters loved them! Really appreciate you guys and highly recommend.“

“Otto’s on the River was a true foodie experience. Our table of 5 ordered a few apps and entrees from steak to seafood to vegetarian. The table was very quiet once we started eating our meals. This was due to mouthfuls and chewing and sipping delicious cocktails and cold beers! Great wait staff and attention to detail. Nice atmosphere- relaxed, unhurried…highly recommend.“

“We do not recommend dinning in here as in our experience the service is far from good.. however the food was great! We will definitely order take out in the future but will not be returning to dine in. The server didn’t understand what my husband ordered (even though it was a beef enchilada) so he just put it in as a taco salad. So by the time he recieved the correct meal the rest of our party had already finished eating. The server didn’t ask if anyone would like a refill or another cocktail.“

“Very nice setting very nice setting light music in the background and I got to enjoy the whole staff sing Happy Birthday to some child we ordered a lot of different food from different varieties and it was all very good and our waiter the guy Chris was very nice super friendly I would come back because of him he made it feel like home and said he hoped to see us as his new regulars very nice guy“

“In Maine from out of state NY going thru hard times my vehicle was repossessed on me sadly while in Maine. Been stranded in the state without any help and stuck. Every day I been staying in the same area without much choice or options no shelter and running out of money. Daily I'm at Panera bread on my devise searching for work and help of some kind........I gotta say this location probably has the best spirited warm ppl on earth who have been absolutely wonderful to me seeing my situation. Being stranded in Maine since July 28th and having to stay outside all night long till morning Ive spent money and tried to get food here everyday during my stay while looking for work or a way back home. 3 women that work this location have been very sweet and gifting and even checking on me when they see me. I cant thank everybody enough truly...... This Location is a whole vibe and clean facility with great ppl working it everybody has good personalities. Thank you everybody for being nice to me during hard times at this moment you all do such a great job at this location.
