My wife and I were both excited to try the Modern Barn. We drove an hour and unfortunately we both turned to each other at the end and said “wasn't worth the hour”. Her swordfish was salty to the point of almost not being able to eat (and she loves salty food). The chicken in my picatta looked boiled and the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. The pasta itself was delicious (from local maker).
Had a nice meal at the Modern Barn. Comfortable and cozy environment. The service was outstanding (Thank you Heather). We started with a cocktail- St. Germaine gin and grapefruit- which was excellent and well presented with a beautiful flower. One of us had the Burger, which was perfectly cooked and "delicious". Quite an endorsement from a very picky eater! Two of us had fish entrees - both fish entrees were a little overcooked and somewhat dry. But overall, we enjoyed the evening...read full review
