I wasn’t very impressed with this place. We originally planned to dine in, but after waiting over half an hour with no appetizers, we decided to take the food to go. When I got the check, I almost tipped again before realizing a mandatory 20% service charge had already been added — with no notice from the waitress. It was technically a takeout order with no dishes served at the table, and I was planning to tip well. The way the restaurant handled this just didn’t sit right with me. Also, the $30 lobster roll portion was very small.

Staying here from out of town and asked a local couple we met where was somewhere to get pizza and they recommended here. So glad they did. Get the pepperoni pizza here! 10/10! The dough has almost a French toast taste to it

I gave a ‘4’ versus a 5 because it was 1. Hard to locate and 2. Did not offer lots for vegetarian options. Service was EXCELLENT, drinks were quickly served and there was a lot of options for tap beers/cider as well as bottles. Hubby had a ginger beer and liked that a lot, as it was ‘local’ company. The decor and vibe is funky-fun. Seat yourself. Live music was not too loud as to disrupt conversation. If you enter through the front, go downstairs 😉 we were a little confused!

Really nice dive bar in bethel, really nice staff, with live music on both times I attended. Had food the second time I went and it was really tasty. We had really nice house chicken wings, and for mains I had the haddock dinner with mash potatoes, was really nice

Enjoyed a nice dinner at the pub. Service was very friendly, we were seated immediately. Large beer selection and decent wine selection. We started with wings which were large and flavorful. I ordered salmon while my husband ordered ribs! Kids had the pizza and chowder. Good experience, decent food at reasonable prices!

Bison burger was plain and dull. Flavorless. It was disappointing burger. Fries was awful too. Chili soup was good though. Service wasnt great too didnt seem friendly

Lobster roll was absolutely delicious. Bit pricey, but worth it. Love the atmosphere and the service was amazing. Would definitely come back here again.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised after reading the many negative reviews. We had stopped in here several years ago, but I don’t remember much about that visit. In our current visit, the waitress was warm and friendly. Service was excellent, and our large pizza that we split was quite tasty. I also took a chance on the crème brûlée… I didn’t have much hope for it. However, despite not being freshly made it was creamy light and delicious. We admired the old charm of the place, but I’m giving it four stars because it did smell a bit musty and could use a little bit of updating.
