We had a lovely stay at the Smuggler’s Cove Inn. The property is stunning with a beautiful view of Linekin Bay from seemingly every room. Our children loved using the pool, kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing from the dock. Our room was updated and comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary each morning and the spread was delicious…a nicely upgraded version of chain hotel continental breakfast. The family who owns the resort were very accommodating and we had the sense that they truly wanted their guests to feel comfortable and to have a great experience. Highly recommend!

Good food, terrible service. Waited almost 10 mins for a soda water but amazingly enough, the food came out quickly! The scallop special was well done as was the salad. (It would be helpful to note on your menu what part of the chicken you are serving a top salads- not everyone likes a fatty, dark meat thigh which is what we got). Biggest reason for the low star review had to do with the inattentiveness of our server. She came to the table 4 times total during our visit (once to take drink and dinner order, once to drop off drink, once to drop off food, and once to collect dishes and place down the check). Not once were we asked how things were, not once did she check in, nothing. Very poor service 👎🏼

The food was excellent!!!! My husband had one of the specials, lobster mac and cheese and it was delicious-full of flavor, savory, and light all at the same time. I had a Ceasar salad with shrimp. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour and a half for our food. Our 11 year old son's kids meal did not come out with ours. His meal didn't come out until after we were done eating our meals. If you've ever dined with kids, you know they are hungry right when they sit down to order! Honestly, this wouldnt be okay with any group of diners! We were not happy with the service! I voiced my concerns with extreme long wait and meals not coming out together. They did comp the kids meal and gave him some ice cream, then we waited a lonnnnng time for the check. I hope they can figure out the timing of seating with the kitchen... because the food and atmosphere is incredible! Our server was spread too thin as well-they needed another person waiting on tables! We are staying at the hotel and it's lovely, though we wasted a lot of time waiting on table service during our first night's stay.

Definitely enjoyed celebrating my birthday for couple of days at Smuggler's Cove Inn. Kiwi one of the owner's sons was very polite and helpful. I loved having access to a private beach. The sunset views were amazing. We enjoyed the pool, fire pit, and playing Cornhole. There is a pier and kayaks if interested in using. Also, having a great tasting free breakfast buffet at the onsite restaurant with an amazing view just added to the experience. Looking forward to staying there again...

We travel to enjoy the local offerings. The website show delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. We reserved our dinner and arrived on time seated immediately, which was nice. The white staff was pleasant and attentive. We ordered several things off the menu to get a taste of the cuisine. Instructions were followed, and the courses came one by one. Then we realize that each course was being prepared from a frozen bag or stock that had been sitting on a burner for hours or possibly days. If you’ve ever eaten gumbo, you know that it is made with a roux. If you’ve ever made roux, you know when it’s burnt. It was disappointing and downright criminal to serve that lobster and andouille gumbo to a customer. We also had crabcakes that came straight out of a bag in a freezer and dropped into a fryer .
The next morning we opted for their breakfast ready to eat because our day was kind of full. It was nothing like what they depicted on their website. There was nobody there cooking everything was put in a steam warmer. They did have fresh fruit. Unfortunately, as it happens often with breakfast offerings, like this, the crowd was unkempt and unruly with children running about while their bedraggled parents sat trying to get enough coffee in themselves to deal with their day. That’s not really the resort’s fault that people don’t know how to keep their children, but it’s not how I want to eat breakfast.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at this gem of a resort near Boothbay harbor. Good service, very clean well decorated room with super comfortable bed and spacious.
A few small things; it would have been more convenient if the bathroom had an extra shelf or 2 or even more towel racks, there really wasn’t enough place to put things especially for two people.
Breakfast at the restaurant was a nice perk and the food was not bad for that type of buffet and price point. The waiters could’ve kept more on top of replenishing napkins, coffee mugs and silverware, etc. when they used up , as it happened a few times that we had to wait for these things.
We enjoyed using the kayaks, the pool and the Adirondack chairs just looking at the spectacular view and sunsets. Would come back here for sure!

What an amazing, tranquil and serene gem located in East Boothbay. It was great to unplug and recharge. The rooms were comfy and decorated nicely. The food was fresh, amazing and wholesome. The owners (Cash one of owners) make sure your food is fresh and very tasteful. The homemade granola and the sweet potato appetizer and atmosphere at restaurant can be matched to a five star resort.
I am very grateful for this experience!

We arrived in Maine a week ago and have been enjoying the local cuisine — from fresh oysters and lobster rolls to lazy lobsters and more.
For the last couple of days, we’ve been staying near 727 Ocean Sunset Bar, and we decided to give it a try. Tucked away in a quiet corner with absolutely stunning views, this place ended up being the highlight of our trip — both for the food and the service. A big shoutout to Roxxie, who made our experience even better with her warm and attentive service.
We ordered the ribeye with mushroom sauce (10/10), the blood orange and maple salad (delicious!), and the seared scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared the blueberry crisp — and wow. Just wow.
We’ll definitely be coming back tomorrow for another round. This place is a gem.
