My husband had the salmon and orzo. He absolutely loved his meal. I had a vegan option which they have a lot of of those. I had the sticky tofu with regular rice, not the coconut rice. The mail was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food, a lovely view, and great service. Can't ask for more than that! I highly recommend the shrimp and grits!

The views of the harbor from our table were fantastic. The waitperson was great. The food was delicious. I accidentally left my credit card behind, one of the staff members kindly mailed it to me when I called about it.

Always good to great. In like ten visits we have had one dish that was not good, but that is very unusual for them, and they took care of it accordingly. We have always loved Cozys and will be back

One of our go to spots every summer. The atmosphere and seafood hit the spot every time! I love that they offer gluten free New England Chowder as well!

Boathouse Bistro is one of our favorite spots whenever we’re in Boothbay Harbor. In a town full of tourist-heavy restaurants, this place stands out, and we’ve tried quite a few. Prices are fair given the location (you are in Boothbay, after all), and the quality and portions make it feel worth it.

We’ve been in both summer and winter, and it’s been a great experience each time. In the colder months, the indoor tables with harbor views feel extra cozy. In the summer, their rooftop deck has one of the best views in town. Service has always been friendly and attentive, even during busy times.

Our go-to is the haddock sandwich. They use these massive pieces of fish, and it’s always cooked perfectly. We’ve had it both fried and blackened — both are excellent!

YES! Just yes! The Boathouse Bistro delivers an extensive menu of carefully crafted, and fine tuned dishes. The food is all cooked to perfection, and truly escalates the dining experience. Fresh ingredients meld together with a delightful atmosphere. The staff was a well oiled machine, and very attentive. 12 out of 10 rating! Thank you! We LOVED our experience here!

We've been going here off and on for years. The past several years have been the best. The risotto dishes are our favorite. Mine are the scallop risotto and the mushroom risotto. The thick and creamy clam chowder is packed with flavor. Salads are generous. Desserts are delicious. There are a lot of really great menu choices. Dining up on the top deck in nice weather over looking the harbor is a plus. Dining inside in the winter is cozy.

Dined at a restaurant tonight with my wife on 9/30/24, which came highly recommended by the Boothbay Sailing folks. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype or the $120+ we spent on food and drinks. The halibut was overcooked and dry, the cocktails were uninspired, and the dessert was downright appalling. My wife, a die-hard Tiramisu fan, was excited to try it, but we were in for a shock. The "Crème Anglaise" tasted rancid—almost like they mistakenly drizzled blue cheese over the plate. When I brought it up, the server insisted it was Crème Anglaise. As a chef, I can confidently say it was not. The experience was so unpleasant that I ended up getting sick in the parking lot. Disappointing, to say the least. I do not recommend this place.

beware of the scallops, mushrooms, and fettuccine pasta dish. I literally had to pour off the oil into a plastic container, about a quarter cup of oil. The dish was swimming in it. The mushrooms were very salty, so much so that I asked if that was how they were normally prepared. She didn’t know.. The scallops were fabulous! The only thing I could eat. I think I was very polite about the situation, and we paid for the entire meal, but I was very disappointed and slightly ill afterwards.

Came here on a recommendation from the innkeeper where we stayed and it did not disappoint. Early Oct and fairly calm but still plenty of diners. I had the salmon risotto and seriously the absolute best risotto I have ever had, this from a devout risotto lover
