Service is rough, because of understaffing. But food is consistently excellent. Blueberry pancakes, breakfast burrito, and oatmeal were all very tasty. Great spot for breakfast!

We waited 30 minutes for a burger and chowder and were told it would be another 15 minutes! You can cook more than one burger at a time!!!

Understaffed- I totally get it. Only one girl working and probably one cook. We were told when we got here there’d be a wait. Asked to order and pay at the counter. Also okay. Food came out on paper plates. The home fries I paid $5 for were about a handful’s worth. Paid $45 after a 20% tip for two plates we could eat in 3 minutes. About 4 eggs, a piece of American cheese, 4 pieces of toast, and 2 handfuls of home fries, 2 coffees. Should have been more like $20/$25. Wouldn’t come back, sorry.

Charming cafe with water views very close to the walk bridge. Short staffed like many places now but Cecelia (hostess, cashier, waitress and problem solver) was gracious and calm under pressure. Hope the ownership sees this. Under hard hiring challenges, her professionalism was only matched by the great food. Know that they have an efficient process to order and pay at the counter and then you are seated. Sure our breakfast was on paper plates but we were seated surprisingly quickly and the vibe in this place was so pleasant.

We both went with eggs, home-fries, toast, and I had the sausage (incredibly good item). Service though short staffed did an excellent job. Portions were on the large size, but I am not complaining, and prices are very reasonable. The table were promptly cleared and cleaned between diners. Crew working on the morning of the 8th did an excellent job!

Currently not doing take out. That'd be fine but they failed to post about it on their website, Facebook, and didn't answer their phone. We drove in to check if we could do take out and they rudely told us no.

You need to order, pay and tip before being seated. The “breakfast sausage” is really Italian sausage you would have with spaghetti! Tables are quiet small for a large family, we moved the sugar off our table and the lady behind the counter came over picked it up reached across my meal and put it back in the middle of our table. They don’t even check to see if you may need anything. Small portions with a big price tag. May have been worth it if the food was good, but it wasn’t! I would never return. I am a local and believe in supporting our local business.

The worst cafe in all of Boothbay. We have been three times - visit one was fine, the food is actually very nice.We tried to go another two times and both times the attitude of the staff is terrible and so rude - the second you enter the restaurant, no greeting, just a shout of “we’re backed up in the kitchen, expect everyone else in this restaurant to be served before you”……After this experience twice we stopped trying. Going to a restaurant to be treated as an inconvenience is not okay. Plus I don’t understand how backed up a place can be….. it only has about 5 tables…..Maybe get some new friendly staff!

Definitely a great place to eat!! The wife and I got a window table, looking out at the bay.

A cafe serving classic American breakfast and lunch dishes. The dining area was bright and cheery, though relatively small so I suggest coming on the earlier side if possible. The owner made sure everything was running smoothly, and we felt right at home with our family. You order at a counter, grab your coffees at a self serve station, and then find a table. They will bring your food and other drinks to you when ready. There was a selection of homemade baked goods that we did not try, but would not hesitate to order in the future. Overall we felt this cafe was a good value, and recommend it!

Bridge Street Cafe is one of the very few places in Boothbay that serves breakfast all day, until closing. Most of the so called breakfast places stop serving at eleven am, and after eleven, you have to order from the lunch menu. Gloriously, it is no trouble for the folks here to serve you a delicious breakfast whenever you like.

Delicious food. Friendly folks. Blueberry pancakes were great.

A tiny cafe. Room for about 4 tables. It seemed under staffed, as we saw only one woman taking care of everyone there. The food was okay, but nothing really special.

Bridge Street Café is less than a block from the footbridge that spans Boothbay Harbor. It's up one flight of stairs from the street, and has a nice view of the harbor from large windows that light the homey café-like dining room. This place has wonderful friendly atmosphere. And the hostess who took orders and served us was super! Short of help, apologies were made for a short wait, but, really, the wait wasn't bad. I ordered blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon, and they were worth waiting for. I was happy with my breakfast - as were my three companions. We had a great time here. I'll be back! Enjoy!
