Great Location! Across the cove from the Lobster Wharf eatery, easy walk to the pedestrian bridge that gets you right into town. Even though the restaurant is closed they provide a good alternative for breakfast & coffee is really good too. Rooms are clean & a good size. Hospitality is Wonderful.

Jim and I would like to thank the staff at Browns Wharf Inn for another wonderful stay. We have stayed here many times and are never disappointed. The staff is warm and friendly and go overboard to accommodate our needs. The continental breakfast is great and the view unparalleled. We cannot thank you enough for my great birthday stay again.

The Inn is right on the water with a wonderful view of boats, etc. and the room balcony overlooks the water. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The entire inn was immaculate and well kept. All the flower boxes (and there were many!) were lovely and full. The continental breakfast was extensive and featured made from scratch cranberry and blueberry muffins. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The room price was very reasonable for the quality of this inn. I would highly recommend staying here!

Food was pretty good. It took 30 minutes for a tiny salad to come out. It was the only appetizer… Waitress did not come back to refill our drinks til our dinner came. Dinner came after an hour??‍♀️. There was another night where we had our appetizer take one hour to come, but our entrees took four hours to come ?. Only enjoyable moment of the night was when i walked out of the restaurant.

We are repeat guests who absolutely love this family owned local icon. Rooms are roomy enough, very clean (Vicky is a cleaning machine), mini-split ac, comfortable, and complete with a Keurig coffee maker. The harbor view from the balcony can not be matched anywhere in the harbor. Coffee is ready in the lobby at 7 am, followed by a free extensive complimentary breakfast at 7:30. Thank you, Brown family and staff.

Rooms: Go with the harbor view rooms.

The breakfast was very, very good. The room was very clean but smelled strongly of pet urine. We left the sliding door open and borrowed spray from the office but the smell remained. The carpet needs a deep cleaning, I guess. We like this place, have stayed before and would stay again.

Great spot! Been coming for years. Wouldn't be the same without a trip to Boothbay. Scenic town. Great lobsters. Good food..

Browns has been out stop for years. Premises are well maintained. Right on the water. Close to food & shopping. Worth a visit!

Booked 2 rooms last minute and so glad I did! This is a waterfront older hotel. Our rooms were spacious, outfitted with refrifg. microwave and small keurig. Both rooms (king and double) were immaculate! The covered waterfront deck was a comfortable nice size and we enjoyed our breakfast there. The motel dining area has lots of table seating with a Waterview for the included breakfast. Coffee was hot and plentiful. I think coffee/tea is available all day. The hotel is an L shape. Our rooms were the last 2 rooms (222 and 223) at the end of the L closest to the road..so our Waterview was an angle view. I think the owners need to plant a evergreen by the road to give some road screening for 223 room. Rooms 101 to 109 overlook the marina. Rooms on 2nd level look over marina. Rooms 112 to 119 and floors sbove overlook the harbor rather then marina.the rooms. And ours 222 and 223 was an angle harbor view. If handicap and need elevator it is in the lighthouse (see photo) Motel location is about a 7 minute ride to Boothbay Main St.. About a 3 min ride to local grocery store and circle k convenience store. I think it is a great location on the harbor away from the crowds yet very close. I like no restaurant as place is quiet in the evening. If you want to walk the footbridge into town the Boothbay Inn is a better location but I much prefer Brown's Wharf. I will be back to stay again and Kudos to the owners for keeping this waterfront motel comfortable, clean and in great condition.Rooms: Large rooms, comfortable seating. Easy rolling slider to Waterview covered deck. Deck furniture clean and comfortable.Nearby activities: Easy 7 min ride to fishermans wharf in Boothbay harborSafety: Felt safe. Parking well lit.Walkability: A bit of a walk to footbridgeFood & drinks: Breakfast plentiful with indoor dining tables looking over water. Rooms have micro, refrig, and small kuerig with Dunkin Donuts pods.Noteworthy details: Rooms spotless. Towels bedding clean. Comfortable. Covered deck great if raining. Beautiful harbor views. Waterfront motel.

The place is amazing, such a nice view, but something weird was that a girl from staff (a housekeeper I assume) called Melani with glasses and foreign kept saying to my wife that 25% tip was mandatory, I don’t think it’s true because I asked some other guests. We spent almost three days there and those three days she said the same thing, it was uncomfortable.

Wanted to get away for our anniversary for a couple of day and chose Browns Wharf.Place is older but very clean and our room had a great view of the harbor. We would leave in the morning for day trips and come back to find our room cleaned. We happened to be in Maine while a tropical storm made its way off the coast. Only lost power for a half hour to an hour - otherwise uneventful. The hotel offers a continental breakfast which sufficed my wife and I. We are walkers and didn’t mind the 15 minute walk into town. In bad weather you may have to take a car and parking is at a premium in town.FYI - The hotel no longer has a restaurant - so plan on meals elsewhere.Gave the place four stars because I felt I was staying at a place my parents or grandparents would have stayed and it didn’t have a restaurant.
