A wonderful lunch spot in the summer with great food and service and a view of the water, a favorite!

Slow service.Serms like our server was running ragged. One kitchen feeding two areas is failure waiting to happen. Food was ok.Clam chowder was, in my opinion, excellent.

Beautiful venue for a wedding. Range of outdoor ocean and land activities to keep us all laughing along before the ceremony. Rooms a bit rustic but functional.

Great views and food. Enjoyed a fun time with friends for a mid-week lunch. Even though it rained, it didn't dampen our visit. Friendly staff too.

I wasnt sure how many stars to give this review as there were awesome parts of staying at this resort and other parts that would make me not stay there again in the future. I found this resort by chance on TikTok. Mahawie Lodge rooms are spacious and beautiful. You can't beat the amazing view, and the adirondack chairs provided on the private deck were a plus. These are air conditioned, but the rooms were still a bit sticky in the late August heat. If you do stay in these, ask for the rooms that are on "ground level" and not the lower level that have rooms above them. You can hear every movement above you. This resort is geared towards families with kids. So if the person above you is up at 5am, so are you. We could hear the family above us before the sun was up -- over our sound machine and fans we brought. Even though it was clear in our reservation that there were 3 people staying, there weren't enough towels and bedding provided. The ice machine was also super far from our room. The breakfast provided at the resort was good and had a variety of options. The main reasons my husband, mother and I booked this resort was for the views, privacy and the restaurant overlooking the ocean. The views and privacy were great. I wont ever step foot in that restaurant again though. It was so disappointing! The three of us walked in there on a Monday night around 5 o'clock. We were greeted by a woman with a confused look and no smile, and we were asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, her and another staff proceeded to mumble in their native tongue. The restaurant was empty. EMPTY. No one was in there. We just wanted to sit down, have a few drinks and play some cards. The woman who was working wasnt even going to seat us and had to ask for a manager to see if we could sit down. Then a man seated us finally and got a drink order. It took almost 20 minutes to get one drink - even with no patrons in the restaurant. We quickly finished them up and closed out as soon as we could. We weren't about to spend money in a place that we weren't wanted. After spending nearly $500 a night, I had a higher expectation for the restaurant and how they treat their guests. I can't even review their food, because we never got the opportunity to eat there. We ended up going into Boothbay, getting pizza, and bringing it back to our room. We're from MN and used to kinder staff at resorts. With that said, the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. Overall, Im glad we stayed there to see the place and how unique and beautiful it was. But for the cost, the poor service at the restaurant, and the hard-to-get-to location, we probably wouldn't stay there again.

Great resort. The plentiful watercraft/sailboats are in good shape, no waiting around to get access and there are knowledgeable and friendly staff (and they are waiting to help you, no searching for someone to help). Kids activities were more abundant than I realized, with a full game room with foosball, ping pong, table shuffleboard and board games with tables to play them. You can view the bay right from inside the pool. Trivia night was a blast by the wood fire place. Overall an excellent time that surpassed our expectations.Walkability: Nice amount of grounds, but easily traversable.

Amazing setting and property (5 stars). Well worth the stay. Have had several friends do so. Service is wonderful as well. Bar is good also. Sadly, the food is very hit or miss. Haddock tacos are good (could use more fish and have corn tortilla option). Burgers are OK. Tuna crudo is a wonderful idea but it is cut too thick and fish was not terribly fresh (mealy). I have tried the mussels on two, separate occasions. Second time was worse than the first. Not local, not fresh, thin slices of ciabatta, which is just as well - the accompanying sauce is inedible (way, way, way over salted). Salads are fresh, fries are crispy. Soups are good (not great). The filet mignon was well prepared (a touch overpriced for the minimal plate). In short, go for the setting, enjoy a beverage and a snack then head in town for a meal.

We had our wedding here last weekend and already can’t wait to go back!! I could say 1 billion amazing things about this place from the location, to the food, to the staff, to the views, cabins, on and on! The wedding coordinator, Melissa, is phenomenal to work with from start to finish. She is clearly the most perfect match for that job and made our weekend more perfect than we could have ever imagined! Every single aspect of this venue was perfect and all of the staff were beyond wonderful. They truly made us feel like family! If you’re looking for a “local” destination wedding with THE coastal Maine vibe, this is your place!! Our guests were raving about the accommodations and unique aspect of being able to spend the whole weekend on site with just the wedding guests on property. My #1 piece of advice is GO VISIT THIS PLACE - you’ll never want to leave! ⛵️ ? ⚓️

Our wedding weekend at LBR was without a doubt the best weekend of our entire lives. Melissa, the event coordinator, worked with us throughout the year to ensure our weekend was everything we imagined and it exceeded our expectations. Us and our guests encountered nothing but kindness and attentiveness throughout the weekend- it truly felt like family! We received many compliments to the chef, with guests sharing it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. This wedding venue was a complete dream in every way; from the views and the rooms to the food and the incredible staff…. I only wish we could do it all over again! Thank you SO much, LBR!!

The LBR waterfront is absolutely gorgeous and loaded with amenities like sailing (at a reasonable cost), canoeing, swimming, etc. The accommodations vary are rustic, mostly without AC. It is family friendly and you will hear children constantly. Breakfast is included, consisting of eggs, bacon, bread, etc. Town is close and packed with shopping, dining, and public boat options. If you are expecting a “resort, ” look elsewhere; this is an outdoors-focused camp-like experience.

Stopped in by boat for lunch on a breezy weekday. We were immediately greeted by an attentive dock staff who took care in tying up, considering the gusty conditions. This setting is amazing. We were greeted by a warm and personable wait staff and enjoyed a very nice, reasonably priced lunch and a couple of refreshing drafts.Given the service, ambiance and overall experience, Linekin Bay Resort is a first rate boat-up destination.(We haven't stayed as an overnight guests, so we can't weigh in on the lodging accommodations)

Our family and friends enjoyed an amazing weekend of connections and celebrations a week ago at Linekin Bay. The staff were so gracious and welcoming and Therese and Melissa were top professionals to work with as we planned our time there and managed our folks on premise. The accommodations and facilities were great. We will return!
