Loved this restaurant. Located in the Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay Harbor, it’s a quaint, cozy casual restaurant. The food was incredible. We dined in several times and one night brought the food back to our room. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Boothbay harbor!!!

Great dinner & experience! We started with the littlenecks that were done Mediterranean style & the lobster Mac n cheese, both dishes were really tasty. For our main courses we had the pan roasted salmon which was herb crusted with a sweet lemon oil over a sundried tomato polenta, salmon was cooked perfectly! My wife had the grilled pork tenderloin with roasted sweet potatoes, tabasco onions & a bourbon bbq sauce, another hit! Cocktails were tasty and the wine list was unique. We had a bottle of Orin Swift "Slander" pinot noir that paired well with our dinner. Service was right on the mark, music was good and the view of the harbor was spectacular! A big thumbs up to the chef & his team!

The dinner was good but expensive, I would eat out. The rib eye was so thin, it looked like a Salisbury steak. The food was good, nothing to rave about. The server was pleasant. The Chicken salad was ok. too chopped up not enough green leaf romaine. We dined in October 4th 2023

We had breakfast and 3 dinners during our 3-night stay at the Spruce Point Inn. The food was and service were so good that we didn't have to look elsewhere for our meals. For our dinners we had the vegetarian bolognese, pork chops, littleneck clams (super yummy broth!), calamari, salmon, salad, crab cake, and for breakfast, the lobster eggs benedict was so good. Very enjoyable atmosphere, beautiful view of the spectacular sunsets from the dining room there. Couldn't ask for more, and it was just across the grand deck from our cottage, so convenient.
The fish and chips with tempura battered haddock was excellent.

Had a lovely breakfast at the Salty Stag this morning. It was early, and we were the only ones there. I ordered the steel cut oatmeal, and the presentation was very nice. There were fresh berries on top and mini pots of golden raisins, walnuts, and brown sugar served on the side. The oatmeal itself was very good and not thick and clumpy. My husband had the Farmer's Breakfast, which was also very good. We had a nice view of the gardens and the water, but it was foggy. We're not staying at Spruce Point Inn, but we would definitely eat breakfast at the Salty Stag again.

Nice spot to have dinner if you are looking for something a little more high end when it comes to food and service. My husband and I got the fried calamari, clam chowder, lobster roll, and lobster mac & cheese. Things were a bit pricier, but the portion size was good. food all around was pretty good but not amazing. We were actually a little disappointed in the clam chowder. Over all great experience nice view and would recommend if you are in town for a visit or staying at the inn like we did.

I had an amazing platter of mussels. Possibly the best I've ever had.

We ate here for breakfast - a little disappointed that my "potato latke" breakfast was clearly pre-frozen hash browns. Bartender was awesome and made great cocktails during the evening.
Overpriced
Limited food selection, family had difficulty finding something, especially since this is on a resort property catering to families. Would think they might have a more expanded menu for adults and younger teens. Not crowded when we were there on a Wednesday night. Can eat on the patio with great sea view.
