Very nice restaurant! French Onion Soup was yummy! Scallops were good too! Nice location on the harbor and pretty atmosphere inside! Not many side dish options, though.

Good but not spectacular. Some prices were a bit high but overall we’d probably come back. Staff was attentive and friendly.

We were sat quickly, the food was great! However the portion of the steak frites was smaller than expected for the cost, there were no ounces listed in the menu so I guess it’s subject to your expectation. I can’t say anything had a ton of seasoning, it seems oriented to probably an older crowd would be my guest. We both got the tugboat Annie’s punch which was the best I’ve had for a rum punch!! The dining in the upper portion however was extremely warm, not sure if it was the time of year or they just do not have central air.

Really a terrific place, really neat restaurant with a cool boat feel to it but also great food. I had the baked haddock, delicious. Prices were really reasonable. And best if all, Will at the bar was just great, kept great conversations and is a respectable stand up guy. I will definitely come again.

On vacation in Boothbay, Me and went to Tugboat Restaurant for dinner. Very unique place, in an old vintage Tugboat and most tables have a view of the harbor, decorated very nautical looking. Was seated immediately and our waitress approached us, told us the specials and took our beverage order. I ordered the Fried Shrimp plate and hub ordered the baked Haddock with crab stuffing topped with Newburg sauce. Dinners came in a timely fashion and were piping hot and inviting. My shrimp were cooked perfectly and they gave you a large portion, delicious!! Hub really enjoyed his baked haddock, it was a generous portion as well but he finished it. Our waitress checked on us several times, she took good care of us. Prices are comparable to the other restaurants and you got your money’s worth. We shared a piece of their homemade Blueberry pie, their desserts are made by one of the employees, we got vanilla ice cream on the side. That pie was just fantastic, we loved it!! Yum! Nice clean place, street parking out in front if your lucky and parking behind the restaurant. We enjoyed our dinners and recommend giving this place a try!! Debbie, Mich.

I just finalized my poor review for the Tugboat Inn and thought eating beside where I stayed would lighten the experience. That could not have been further from the truth. Upon entering the restaurant after six calls with no one answering, I started timing how long until I was greeted in any capacity. It was seven minutes until anyone dare even glance at me. Within the seven minute time of waiting I watched the hostess, Kim, rapidly fire off four what I could call immensely disrespectful comments to people wanting to check in or ask how long the wait was.

Her approach to anyone truly is abhorrent. She has such a lack of respect and unethical behavior. This is the individual at the front of the house greeting people and this is the tone she took with most people entering or already waiting. Her behavior permanently marked upon me how much I would enjoy NOT giving this facility my money. Sad atmosphere for a business that was highly recommended to us. Kim's attitude needs a serious adjustment or she will eradicate this restaurants clientele.

I've come to the Tugboat Restaurant twice (summer and fall) and both times were ok at best. Both times, service was incredibly slow. So slow, that I watched our drink sit at the bar for over 10 minutes before we decided to get it ourselves (bar tender confirmed it was ours). Soups were good (lobster bisque and French onion). Down East Steak was incredibly tough. Our server never checked in after delivering the entree so I couldn't even mention it; nor did I want to with how long I had to wait for the food the first time. The view is beautiful. If you're understaffed, don't fill the tables; give your current patrons a good experience rather than a disappointing one.

We had the lobster rolls and they were delicious. I had the Cole slaw, it was a little on the sweet side, but delicious. My husband had the French fries and enjoyed them. The tugboat is very cute and staff was awesome/

Atmosphere is 10 stars. The view is great, it's very cute. It used to be an old tugboat & is now a restaurant. Very clean too.
Last time I was there was late June & it was fabulous.
This time the waiter was barely attentive, I was with my female friend, he never asked about if we wanted separate checks. When I waited on 2 women especially I always asked if they want separate checks becuz it was a yes about 98% of the time. He acted like he was solving world peace when he finally caught on after plunking down THE check & I said oh, we wanted separate checks (the put out look on his face, wow).

The food and the staff there were outstanding. I enjoyed talking to the waitress and host. They were kind and accommodating. When I go to boothbay harbor I will
return to the restaurant again. The blueberry pie was the best.
