Best beer I’ve had. Ever.
Nice vibe, good food and very friendly people.
Beer and food is great! Bartender's attitude could use some work.
GO. Coziest place with amazing beer, great food, beautiful outdoor spaces, cool art and sculptures… the inside is a wooden, old timey style pub with a little train running around a track all around the restaurant. My ideal bar/brewery vibes. Oh and incredibly nice staff!
Great atmosphere and layout. The staff were friendly and funny. Just had a couple of beers which tasted great. I was pleased to see parking specifically for Veterans. Which I proudly took advantage of. Will definitely come back!
I don't really understand the RV park part, but the food and the beer are good! Went here in the late afternoon, wasn't crowded and there are nice shady areas to sit outside. Good beers and really good pizzas. Was nice to be able to hang out and not feel rushed like some of the busier places.
We enjoyed Boothbay Brewery. The brewery was really cool. The inside was amazing as was the service, food, and beer. It was a little cool with the breeze, so we did not sit outside but that area looked awesome too and it was dog friendly. We found the secret door but unfortunately the speakeasy was closed.
The place was busy during our visit but they had plenty of staff and our food arrived quickly. Our pizza was cooked perfectly. We ended up placing a second order and it arrived just as good and as quick.
If we find ourselves in this part of the country again we would definitely visit again.
I didn't get it. $18 hamburgers counter serve style that doesn't come with a side. Add fries and it's $27? Get your own plates and water and then suggest a 20% tip? You'd expect insanely great food at those prices but everything was OK. We had all kinds of stuff Caesar salad, smoked wings, pizzas, haddock, fried chicken... Not worth the price. Super disappointed.
When we were in Boothbay, Maine, we were in a bit of a bind—our Tesla was running low on charge with no Superchargers nearby. We were so relieved to find that Boothbay Craft Brewery Tavern & RV had a destination charger! It was late, and the kitchen was closed, but the staff still warmly welcomed us in for drinks.
I have to give a huge shout-out to the person we spoke with (I believe he was one of the owners). We were anxious about leaving the car to charge overnight since our cabin was a 10-minute drive away, but he was incredibly kind and reassured us that it would be completely safe. His kindness and hospitality made a world of difference. The tavern itself is beautiful, with a fantastic atmosphere. I wish I could have gone back to say a proper thank you, but I wanted to make sure I shared our wonderful experience. This place is a gem, and I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!
Unbelievably disappointing experience. We arrived at 6:45pm to no greeting, no staff, and the only available table was dirty with no menus. Someone eventually came to wipe it down and drop menus, but the vibe was cold and very unwelcoming from the start. The system here is set up so you have to order everything at an outside window. Food, beer, drinks, everything and then just sit and wait. We had a table right by kitchen and bar so we saw all the action. On paper, it probably saves the restaurant money by cutting staff, but in reality, it leaves guests feeling ignored, unwelcome and confused. Lots of signs directing you outside to order, no human interaction. There’s no hospitality, no guidance, and no sense that anyone is actually taking care of you. Because there isn’t.
We ordered a pizza and two orders of wings at 7pm. By 7:30, still nothing. Around 7:40, 2 other guests who had come in with us were also complaining they hadn’t received their large order of food. They left hungry. The staff did not seem to care. The table behind us waited over 40 min for pretzel bites.
At 7:50, I asked Amanda the only food runner in the place, to kindly check on our order. She was clearly exhausted and carrying huge loaded trays all night while no one else seemed to help. Sure enough, our food had been completely forgotten. Only at that point did they start making the wings and put the pizza in the oven. 1 hour later.
The staff looked overwhelmed, the owner and manager were running around clueless looking for missing orders, and no one ever checked in or greeted us as we sat there for over an hour in an empty table. Halfway through the night we realized they had more than beer. A full bar! We were never given a cocktail list but the gal brought one layer. $18.00 cocktails! lol When I ordered a French wine from the menu, I was served a canned Lobster wine instead. The owner didn’t even acknowledge me when I tried to correct it standing at the empty bar with him on the register in front of me, not acknowledging me at all. The other bartender had to step in and poured me another lobster wine via draft that was certainly not a French wine as listed on the menu. Oh well! Time ticks on!
Food came and boy, it wasn’t worth the wait. The wings had a nice smoky flavor but very overcooked. The pizza was raw in the middle, and when it was sent back, they just threw it on a steel pan, which overcooked the top and left the center doughy. Horrible. So Overpriced. Best part about the dinner were the tricolored carrots that came with the wings. We were never given plates, cutlery or napkins. You have to source those yourself as well!
The only person who cared at all was Amanda. Everything else, service, food, and management was a total mess. I worked in restaurants for over 15 years in almost every position and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a very long time. We will not be back. I suggest that the owner really rethinks his business model for next season. I’ve read other similar reviews here and it seems the owner responds in a very defensive and careless manner, so sadly I’m not expecting much to change over at the Brewery.

We waited over an hour for our appetizers and we never got them, we went to ask the host how if he could check on our order and he stated that the kitchen was backed up, after another 20 minutes we check with the the kitchen and our order wasn't even gotten started, we decided to leave and the host at the front didn't even apologize but he was asking us if we were bailing out on our food instead of trying to to find out what happened.
Over all bad customer service, bad experience and staff super cocky, according to them their food is the best in town.
Never going back again.
Cute little brewery that my husband and I always stop at when we visit Boothbay. We first went on our honeymoon in 2018 and got a tour of the beer making. It’s grown quite a bit since then and continues to improve. The interior is cozy and comfortable. We’ve been there for a few live musicians and they’re always great. The upstairs is a speakeasy vibe and a fun addition to the whole place. Staff are always friendly and the beer is good too. Definitely worth checking out, especially for a date night.
Food , beer and music, plus Harvest Host.
Traveling cross country and visited several breweries along the way, today we visited Boothbay, my wife and I did not have a good experience here, it wasn’t that the brisket ran out quickly, I was ok with that, when I went to order an alternative, I was advised by Matt that i couldn’t order with having a table, the place was busy and there were people with numbers sitting in makeshift locations and I was good with that as well, It felt like a soup natze Seinfeld experience, Matt was not friendly when we placed our beer order when we arrived, I chalked it up to being busy, however we decided to leave and currently at King Elders pub being treated with respect.
Kinda rude! Very dismissive of a simple inquiry about gluten! Celiac disease is real! A fried, breaded chicken sandwich is not gluten free! He was just rude!
