Carriage House Restaurant

We had a great dinner on our last day of vacation in August. Everyone was very nice and our server made a point to grab the last serving of scallops for me. We love East Boothbay and we look forward to returning soon!

It was such a pleasure having dinner and dessert here! We had already had a so-so meal down the road at the Ocean Point Inn restaurant and left there very disappointed, then we saw Carriage House! The service was wonderful with an atmosphere far superior and very friendly. Loved our server! Carriage House will be our first and only stop for dinner next time.

The food was unbelievable. It was the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. The server- Raul- was phenomenal and answered my many questions. As a patron with celiac disease, I felt at ease eating here and was well taken care of. The dish- a special- I wanted was not gluten free but they were able to accommodate me. Thank you very much!

Special thanks to Raul for fixing a rocky start to our evening. Six days road tripping on the SE coast of Maine, and this was by far the best meal we had. Appetizers, drinks, entrees, dessert… the staff just could not miss!
Only complaint was that they were completely outa pie, but the chocolate tort and creme brulee were a fantastic substitute!
My family really appreciated the hospitality, and hope to make it back someday!

First time going. Saw it had great reviews. Seemed like it was more classy than your typical deep fried american garbage. I had the Crap Stuffed Haddock and it was phenomenal. It was beautifully plated and really the flavors were fantastic. I was stuffed without room for dessert.

It’s cozy and the food is really good!

We came out to dinner this evening and what a great choice. I thought I knew what I wanted because I have been craving fresh fish and was going to simply get the Fish & Chips until they read the specials and then I couldn't decide!! I ended up going with the Fried Scallop basket. Delicious lightly battered crispy scallops that I could taste 🤤 w/ hand cut french fries. We also got the crab cakes, they were plentiful and fresh.... the aioli elevated the flavor. I was very impressed with the GRILLED Romaine Caesar w/ homemade dressing (I don't find it often) 🔥 I left full but didn't skip out on dessert for later 😜 couldn't resist trying cherry-raspberry pie service was great they were prompt accommodating and very friendly, we will definitely be back

I’ve been to the Carriage House several times and it just seems to get better and better. The owner, Kelly is from a well-known family here in town and lives up to his family’s fine reputation. Kelly is a true chef who loves serving food with special sauces and flavors to soothe even the most sophisticated of pallets. He is so good at his craft that my daughter even held her wedding reception there. Another success! Try this place for your next epicurean adventure.

Good food but expensive and also small portions

We were vacationing in Maine and picked this place for our anniversary not knowing if it would be good. We were pleasantly surprised the food was fabulous the manager Joelle was so sweet and gave us a complimentary champagne knowing we were celebrating. Wonderful food and just a great place. We were visiting from Connecticut and I look forward to coming back again.

Found this restaurant on Google maps while visiting Ocean point. My decision to dine here was a good one. My food was delicious. The staff were friendly and nice. I was one of the first customers as I arrived quite early. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and pleasant. The food was also a pleasant surprise with its excellent taste. Highly recommended!

The BEST food we’ve ever had in Boothbay Harbor!
We come from the Portland area, so are used to top notch restaurants. We haven’t had one here on the Boothbay Harbor peninsula (except Ports of Italy) until now. We ordered out from the Carriage House last night, one of the few restaurants open year round.I have never called a restaurant to compliment the chef, but did in this case because we were blown away by the quality, flavoring and quantity of every dish. Everything was bursting with flavor. I had the hangar steak which was perfectly seasoned, came with a zesty sauce on the side on a huge heap of roasted potatoes and green beans. The meat was tender and not fatty. We ordered the brussels as a side and they were the best Brussel sprouts we’ve ever had (and we try them everywhere). Do get them with the pepper jelly sauce, which we did, which elevates the dish over the top. My husband had the mussels with pasta. The mussels were plentiful, plump and tender, and the slightly spicy sauce was full of flavor, with plenty of sauce to sop up with the garlic bread that came with it. I don’t know what has happened at the Carriage House, but the menu seems completely new and they definitely have upped their game! If you eat in the restaurant, the upstairs is more cozy and intimate than the downstairs.

The food was awesome and the server was ever so pleasant. Enjoyable le evening.
