I really like this place. The restaurant is paneled all in honey colored wood and is cozy. Our server came quickly and was very pleasant and nice. We tried the cream of mushroom soup, which was tasty, though more like a mushroom stew than soup. He had the lobster sliders and sad they were fantastic. The bolognese was delicious and a huge portion. He said the fried fish was very fresh. The blueberry pie was great too.

Good food, service was adequate, ambience is strongest asset. Large first-floor dining room, split up with folding screens and by beams so that you don't have to feel like you're in a big room.

Carriage house never fails to provide an outstanding meal!! Probably best chicken wings I've ever had!! Drinks are always excellent of course!! A little on the pricey side but ya gotta pay for quality nowadays!!

We made a reservation for my Birthday. It was a small party (4) we arrived at 515 and we were greeted and seated within a couple of minutes. We were poured a very warm glass of water each and then it got a bit tough. It wasn't busy however we waited an hour and ten minutes for our adult drinks from the bar... after an hour and forty minutes, we received our food. Fish and chips, Rueben, and the short ribs dinner...The fish and chips were room temperature and super dried out. Very disappointed as far as a Birthday dinner it was sad, especially with the cost associated with a nice dining experience.The service was excellent when we had the attention of our server the ambiance was fair but probably won't be back after this!Parking: The parking lot is dark in these winter months and not paved or well-marked felt more like find a place and hope its ok.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Carriage House this fall and WOW, it was such a great experience. The ambiance is fun and down to earth. Definitely not a stuffy, boring coastal restaurant. This place has plenty of character! If you want a unique venue that will still provide you with a professional, efficient, and friendly experience you can't go wrong with The Carriage House.

I'm shocked at the astronomical cost of lobster and fish offerings on their menu, after all this is coastal Maine !! Service was slow and haphazard at best. They do pull of the Down East vibe, to an extent, they could do better.
Some of the best food I’ve had in Maine. The service and drink’s definitely do not disappoint either! Highly recommend!

The carriage house was the perfect location to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. The food and drinks were spectacular and the staff was impeccable. I think we just about tried everything on the menu plus some of the specials. Food is 50/50. Some dishes were great and others tasted straight from the microwave. Understaffed in the restaurant and they do the best they can, but I wouldn’t expect too much.

No flavor to the food. Shrimp cocktail tasted a week old and no old bay , just slimy in a bowl. The salmon and scallops good, but the risotto and polenta under was ice cold and no seasoning. Everything was Bland! Dessert was good, but if the entrees had been edible we would not have needed to order. The pizzas going out the door? Might be the thing to order. Not what it use to be, sad.
