Honestly, if you didn't know they served great lobster rolls, you'd probably give this place a sideways glance and wrinkle your nose. It's a sorta run down food trailer sitting back off the road, nothing that would WOW you. BUT...the lobster rolls...OMG... delicious with wads of lobster meat. Do yourself a favor, if you're in the Boothbay, ME area, leave the fancy/expensive restaurants in town behind and stop by Karen's Hideaway.

The scallops were great and a good value, my friend had the haddock Reuben, but they didn't drain the kraut or stack it evenly, when we split it, she got all the cheese and I got all the kraut soaked bread. Still tasted good though

Hidden away on the side of the road is Karen’s. Tiny shack with a surprisingly huge menu and zero atmosphere. So what! The lobster roll is excellent. No Mayo is an option if you prefer. Not very big but such sweet meat! Cash only here.

I ordered a lobster roll with butter. The lobster roll came and there was a tiny amount of lobster about the size that just filled a hotdog roll no butter and most of it was green and I asked if they could boil a piece of corn for my daughter so she could have that with her kids meal and they said no also a man was smoking a cigarette walking in and out of the areas where there was food.
