I ordered a clam basket for my Aunt in the hospital, the fries were burned a bit and brown, like they were cooked in dirty oil. It was clam strips not whole class which they should have stated when I asked for a fried clam basket, and there was maybe 10-12 clam straps and it was $32+tax. It was highly recommended, and Im highly disappointed.

It’s a dive bar, if you’re into that. The lobster bisque had way too much salt although the blt was good.

The food and ambience was just awesome. We tried the New England famous clam chowder and the shrimp dish which was too good. The river-front view is very much relaxing which helped us to relax and got refreshed for our next long leg of the journey.
Surely will be recommending this spot for the Clam chowder.

Lots of seafood options. The crab soup was delicious and had to try the boiled lobster while in Maine. Love the location right on the water with a beautiful walking path by it.

The food portion was generous on the High Tide platter however, my finance got a lobster wrap (not a roll) and it barely had any lobster on it at all. The food was decent and the wait staff were extremely friendly. Overall we were pleased with the visit but there are much better places to eat for the price.

It was our first time visiting Bangor, Maine, and we decided to try High Tide Restaurant. From start to finish, our experience was excellent! The Caesar salad, lobster bisque and clam chowder were exceptionally delicious and set the bar high for the rest of the meal. For our main course, we ordered two lobster rolls—one cold and one hot—to taste the difference. Both were fantastic, but I’d definitely recommend the hot lobster roll! The buttery, toasted bread elevated the flavor and made it unforgettable. The service was also top-notch; our server was amazing, and we wish we could remember her name. We’ll absolutely be back, and we highly recommend High Tide!
