“Great food and plenty of gluten free options without concern of contamination! Gluten free pizza and burgers are great! Their cauliflower appetizer is amazing!! Great date night at a great price point and service has always been wonderful.”
“Absolutely best place for food, drinks and karaoke on that side of the penobscot! Highly recommend to anyon3 who's up for a good time, servers are fast and friendly, drinks are innovative and cannot beat the karaoke!”
“This is a great nutritonal spot in the greater Bangor area! My wife and I stopped here for a healthy breakfast before our hike. We each had a smoothie bowl. My wife had the Green Bowl and I had the Mainer and we each added protein to the bowls. The bowls were very hearty and filling, made with fresh ingredients and kept us feeling full for hours. The menu was lengthy and full of different options like teas, coffees, smoothies, smoothie/yogurt bowls and salads. The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. We highly recommend Brewer Nutrition!”
“Service was fan-frickin-tastic. The waiter we had was seriously on top of it all, the food was delicious, especially the fajitas, and it had such an authentic vibe to it; really made me miss Newnan, Georgia. Thanks, y'all! ❤️”
“Joe is the best worker at the whole establishment. he is a amazing hard working person and has the best customer service skills. all the food is incredible and there is nothing bad on the menu!”
“This was a fantastic experience. We visited with our 7 year old son. Delish food that was hot and fresh, affordable with no wait on a Sunday morning,. friendly and wonderful waitress. We found our favorite new local breakfast spot! Thank you!!”
“This is one of the best restaurants in Bangor. I have been going here for years and never had a bad dish. Its styling takes strong inspiration from Japan, with sections with raised bamboo flooring in which you sit closer to the table. They also have regular seating, but the other sections are very fun and unique. The food tastes closer to authentic Japanese rather than other restaurants which are typically more Americanized. Definitely worth checking out. Pictured, is two of the sushi rolls and one of the chicken curries with bubble teas.”
“Stopped here for lunch today while in Bangor for work. This is not a sit down restaurant, but you do counter service then there are tables to eat at. The service was friendly and quick. They have a bar and different types of beers and even out door seating. The food was super fresh. I got the tacos and the soup and they were amazing and like I said sooo FRESH! My only compliant is that the chips were stale( but you get them for free). I will for sure come back and try some different stuff!”
“Although I only ate there once while briefly living in Bangor; the food and service were great and the view was spectacular. I happened to meet the owner out walker her dog while on one of my daily walks along the river. A simple hello sparked a conversation, she was so kind and funny. I had no idea she was the owner until we got to chatting and ended up doing the river walk together that day. She lifted my spirits and if I still lived in town I would be a regular not just for the good food and service but to support such a kind human and her family.”
“The business model has changed since they've reopened (take out only, open Wed through Friday) but the food is still the best around. The chicken pot pie is addictive and big enough to feed two people. My chicken Caesar salad was one of the best I've had recently. Check their Facebook page for hours and the menu.”
“For those of us who love espresso and coffee more than the average person, you must, just must try Coffee Hound. This is my/our favorite roasted bean of any we have ever tasted. We love their mainstay, the Italian Roast Norumbega, which is sweet and creamy on the tongue. God I love this coffee.”
“Really good food and drinks! We were seated in a back room which unfortunately had a large group in there who were not very quiet. The waitress was fabulous and the food was great though. Will be going back again, just hopefully in a quieter setting.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free option”
“Wonderful staff and a very attentive bartender. First time here but the regulars are welcoming and friendly. If you're looking for a small town bar feel with great prices you're wasting your time if you go anywhere else.”
“How have I been shopping next door to this place and never once noticed that there was a Chinese restaurant in front of me? While waiting for a tire repair, my mechanic mentioned Rainbow and that he really liked the pork fried rice. I took a mental note and drove there after the repair as I was starving. I ordered the pork fried rice and a couple of egg rolls. When I went in to pay, I saw them drop the egg rolls in the fryer, a very good sign. I also watched them package up the fried rice. Needless to say, I got in my car and started to eat. The fried rice was steamy and delicious, with a good amount of diced pork and tons of veggies. The egg roll was screaming hot and crispy, with crunchy, tasty filling, and no hint of Chinese five spice, which seems to be a favorite addition of many local Chinese restaurants. There are options for vegetarians, and it was all reasonably priced. I may need to put Rainbow on speed dial.”
“Read about these guys on Yelp, of course. Came up from Virginia heading to Presque Isle. Had to detour after landing in Bangor. Basically a shack overhanging the river. A few tables. Awesome lobster roll which is what I had. Love these small places with character. Coming back next time in town.”
