“I'm from the deep South. I have a hard time finding BBQ joints that are Southern quality in the North. This is one of those places. This tasted like home. They don't have a sampler, which is my only very slight complaint. They did, however, let me get a kids plate and add all the different barbecued goodness as sides. It cost me like $22 to get everything that I wanted like that plus a drink. “This is a great nutritonal spot in the greater Bangor area! My wife and I stopped here for a healthy breakfast before our hike. We each had a smoothie bowl. My wife had the Green Bowl and I had the Mainer and we each added protein to the bowls. The bowls were very hearty and filling, made with fresh ingredients and kept us feeling full for hours. The menu was lengthy and full of different options like teas, coffees, smoothies, smoothie/yogurt bowls and salads. The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. We highly recommend Brewer Nutrition!”

“I was visiting the area for a workshop. There was a huge ice snowstorm, and this lovely restaurant was one of the few open. The owner was extremely knowledgeable, gracious and accommodating to the three of us in the party. All of us had different food allergies. The food was amazing and you can see she puts her love and heart into everything she makes. Must visit restaurant if you’re in the area.Dietary restrictions: Her menu is mostly vegan and vegetarian. There are lots of gluten-free options. She makes all her own sauces and uses locally farmed vegetables.”

We had The Brandied Camembert, The Pork Belly, Chicken and Waffles, and Birria Tacos. All were delicious, thoughtful, and expertly cooked, but the pork belly was done so well, so perfect, that I foresee an addiction developing. At 8pm on a Friday night we had no problem finding street parking out front. This place is jewel on the Bangor dining scene crown and should not be missed! Don't sleep on it!”

“First off, there is easy parking for Frank's. That makes everything nicer. That they have been a fixture since 1945 is also nice, but the real test is the product. Being greeted by enthusiastic counter people was lovely. It was easy to figure out who was an employee by their hats and shirts-a very nice touch and nod to the past. Two thumbs up to everything we sampled, from gluten free cheesecake and yummy cookies to pizza. We are looking forward to sampling a sandwich or an entree during our next visit. Hopefully they'll be around for a lot longer--and by their track record, it seems like a good bet.”

Be aware that you pay for the cup for the dog in addition to paying for the whipped cream.Parking: When summer is in full swing, be cautious of parking in the spaces that lead to the drive-thru window as you can get blocked in by cars waiting in line.”
