We had a wonderful time and it was a beautiful day to sit outside. The food was delicious and the waiter was very kind and helpful. I have to be gluten free and the waiter was very knowledgeable and if didn't know he checked with the food preparer. I'm not a fan of gf buns but this one was great. We definitely will be back.

Pizza that we got didn't have many toppings and was mostly bread. Lobster roll was delicious. When we arrived they were short staffed so it was quite a long wait to even get our drink order.

A lovely setting delicious food and great service. What more can you ask for? We stopped by for lunch after a hike at the nearby LaVerna sanctuary. We had the light and crispy fish& chips and a poke bowl with fresh raw salmon and tuna, on a bed soba noodles seasoned with vegetables and light sauce. We shared a delicious coconut cheesecake with caramel sauce. wow! We will definitely be back. Donna, our server was very pleasant and helpful.
They might want to think about having a little bit more signage and perhaps a bigger sign letting people know that they need to go down the stairs to the restaurant.

First time at the new location. The food is just as good, I will always love the fish tacos. The new location in a converted church is also very nice. It’s a great place if you can get in past the host. Made a reservation online? Made one over the phone? Just a couple who walked in? She will sigh and act like doing her job is the biggest inconvenience of her long life. We saw her put on this act for everyone who came in. She was either having a very bad day or missed her calling by a nautical mile. It’s a shame because every other staff member we spoke to was incredibly polite and personable.

Parking: Former church, so it has a surprisingly large parking lot for the area.

Kid-friendliness: The serving/kitchen staff(again, not the host, she ignored the little girl who needed a highchair) were very accommodating for a family with two little kids across the restaurant.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator for wheelchair users to access the second floor where the restaurant is located.

The new location is terrific. I love the large lawn the kiddos can run around on while parents get a quiet moment.
Our server was Sarah. She was terrific. Fun to talk with and engaging and attentive.
Each of our food items was excellent and well worth it. The fired Rockport clams were spot on.
We were summer regulars of the old location and will be the same for the beautiful new location.

This was our first time at The Sole's new location. The view is magnificent, but because we didn't have a reservation (and there was nothing on The Sole's website to indicate that a reservation was suggested), we could not get a table outside. We were seated and not told who our wait person was. We waited for more than 20 minutes for someone to show up to bring us water. Finally, a young man showed up and apologized for the wait. He did not introduce himself and seemed a little disoriented as we watched him later on. Not efficient at all. He rattled off several specials for the night. I told him it would make his job easier and take less time if the specials (with the prices) were listed on a separate piece of paper. He agreed. The party next to us was more than half way thru their meals before their drink orders arrived. My companion and I each ordered a drink and our meals. We waited more than half an hour for our meals to arrive which were delivered by a young lady. We had now been there for 55 minutes. Our drink orders were delivered shortly after our meals arrived by our wait person. I noticed that most or all of the wait staff was waiting on customers inside and out which also seemed inefficient. I waited tables years ago and I had to wonder who makes up the schedule for which tables the wait staff have. There is definitely room for improvement. Our meals and drinks were good and we were out of there within 20 minutes of getting our food. Also, I noticed the prices on-line are about $1 or $2 less than on the current menu. Perhaps, we will come back next year to see if things have improved.

I normally do not write reviews, but, for this experience I have to. The food was outstanding. My husband and I got the ribeye special. it was 32oz of fresh, perfectly seasoned, incredibly well cooked ribeye. The presentation was nothing short of show stopping. The steak came out sliced into on a beautiful charcuterie board. It was served with broccolini, garlic mashed potatoes, bruschetta, grilled corn on the cob, scollops, and potatoes. We ate the entire thing. It was all amazing. Others in our party all had outstanding dishes. The lobster sandwich and Korean chicken were standouts. Our server was polite and prompt. Only downside is there is no AC or perhaps it wasn't working. This didn't dampen our dinner as we sat outside with a beautiful breeze, view, and candles. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We will without a doubt be back.

We enjoyed a great dinner at the new location of Contented Sole. We actually like it better than the original spot! We were able to eat outside on the patio to enjoy the beautiful view of the harbor and lobster boats. The food and drinks were delicious, as always. Both inside and outside were busy, but the service was still excellent! Kudos to our server Donna, who was so friendly and efficient!!
We love the new Sole and wish you every success! We will see you next year during our annual vacation in New Harbor!

We enjoyed our dinner here. Donna, our server, gave us excellent guidance—highlights included oysters, the clam chowder, the seared tuna special, and the chocolate mousse. Service was very friendly and prompt, which is impressive because the outdoor tables are generously spaced out. Lovely location with lots of lawn for the kids to run around and a beautiful view of the harbor.
