Have been going to Shaws during our many visits to Maine. Their food is top quality fresh seafood! From whole lobsters to lobster rolls you can't go wrong! You can eat inside but the outside tables provide the best views of the New Harbor cove and the lobster boats!! Prices are high, but with today's economy they are in line for fresh seafood! You can pick your live lobster 🦞 and it will be prepared for you with lots of butter and a bib to keep your clothes clean....read full review
In planning our trip, an AI had suggested an off-the-beaten-track place, Shaw’s Fish & Lobster Wharf, right on the water in New Harbor. This is a working harbor and we saw fishermen unloading barrels of fish. Shaw’s seems to be more of a local place than one frequented by tourists—it reminded us of R&O in New Orleans. My family has been going to this place for about 20 years. When the kids were little, they loved the fish sandwiches and watching the fishing boats in the harbor. The kids are grown now, but we still love going here.
