“When visiting Maine two years ago, my husband and I were looking for gluten free restaurants, which can be quite the chore. After reading the reviews for Shannon's, we drove to Boothbay and couldn't believe all the gluten free options. We ordered more food than we needed because there were so many options. Everything was fresh and delicious. Seriously, gluten free onion rings! During that trip, we ate there twice and twice again the next year. We are looking forward to next year's trip and more Shannon's food. In addition to the food, the staff are warm, welcoming and friendly and make you feel like a neighbor instead of a tourist. “My wife and I were at the lounge the last 2 nights. Great atmosphere, the bartender was extremely friendly. It was our second trip to Boothbay/Sunset Lounge. Or previous experience was the same. Great place to visit, the Harbor Inn is away from the restaurants, shops and bars, but it is only a footbridge away.

Parking: Stay at the harbor inn, you won't drive again until you are ready to leave. Everything is within walking distance.“

“This is one of our favorite spots. We go back every trip. The view is A+. Nothing compares to sitting out on the deck, watching the boats while enjoying a drink.

The food is always great. The clam chowder is one of the bests on BBH. The bang bang shrimp and the Caesar with blackened haddock. Everything is fresh and consistently delicious.

What makes it even better is the people. Chloe, Katy and Lily are the BEST and make you feel right at home every single time. They’re a huge part of why we keep coming back.
