“The Pine family are amazing hosts. They have updated all the rooms beautifully. At Spinney's you have a warm family atmosphere and great service. The continental breakfast at the guesthouse is very convenient, and meals at the restaurant are top notch. The seafood options are my favorite, but for my husband who doesn't like seafood, the burger option was a favorite. The beach is beautiful and access is right on the property across the parking lot. Waking up to and ocean sunrise is the ultimate vacation experience.“

“My husband and I went to Anna’s in early July. As Mainers we have had a lot of seafood at different places, but they had the best seafood platter I’ve ever had before. Even better, topped it off with homemade blueberry crumble. This place is a little slice of heaven .“

Do not skip the key lime pie. Best I've had in my life. It's light almost like chiffon pie, crust is solid, flakey with a hint of salt as all good pie crusts should, whipped cream topping and toasted coconut flakes 20/10. (My only comment is I would ditch the mini marshmallows that populate the top. However, I was told that a sweet older lady down the street makes these pies, and as it is the best pie I've had in ages, she gets a pass for the marshmallows)

We ordered fish tacos which were pretty decent if a little overcooked (fish). The crab cakes were exceptional.“

From the moment we arrived, the magnificent harbor view beckoned us to sit in a big ol’ rocking chair on the Inn’s lovely porch, cocktail in hand & relax completely into the moment. Oh & sunsets? Outstanding! Our first moments at Grey Havens were so warm & welcoming. Actually even before arriving, calls with innkeepers, Ali & Carlos, had us beyond excited for our initial stay. From the lovely & cozy guest rooms to the gorgeous bay-windowed common room (with its stunning actual bay-view) the vibe is marvelous. Our initial stay dates did not overlap with Blue’s calendar, sadly. However the many tales we heard of Chef Esau’s creations have us drooling in anticipation. We will ensure we enjoy a dinner at Blue upon our return to Grey Havens.“

“I went to Peppers Landing at 11:30 for lunch and ordered the Brunswick lobster roll. The roll was tough and dry and I asked the server when this was cooked. They could only tell me it's reheated on the grill. This was The worst lobster roll I have ever had. The restaurant manager was gracious enough to give me a whopping $5 discount for the food. This meal was 30.00 including fries and Cole slaw. I will never go back.“

“Definitely a Maine place--good, fresh seafood perfectly prepared. The crab Rangoon is fabulous, and these folk know how to prepare scallops. And since one of the owners is a scallop diver, the scallops are as fresh as you can get them. The salads are fresh, too. Lots of variety for a small operation. One of my favorite local places.“

“Lots of fried seafood in Maine but this was really good. Light and crispy coating. We got the clam sandwich (great deal for $8), scallop basket (the fries are also battered) and onion rings. I would recommend all but the scallops and onion rings were the favorite. Eat there at cute tables or take away. There's also a produce shack next to it with syrups, jams, eggs and more.“
