The Lookout Wedding & Catering

We had our wedding here in June --it was a magical experience. The Lookout Inn has wonderful and generous staff and is very reasonable with their wedding prices. We appreciated how easy-going and flexible they were throughout the wedding planning process. The catering for our wedding was also delicious!

We attended a wedding so cannot comment on the rooms as we did not stay. Beautiful location, rustic hotel and the wedding steak and was delish.

Great atmosphere and scenery. Love the laid back experience and peace and quiet. Morning breakfasts are good. Second stay here with 2 different rooms. Both were very comfortable and clean. Would definitely go back.

Ancestral experience with a real owner present. Beautiful site with an ancient meadow descending to a point of rock extending towards an island at low tide. Great discoveries in perspective and a wonderful site to bring the family together!

Great view

We stayed two nights at the Lookout. I fell in love with the place!! It has so much history and charm- and gorgeous views! The staff there are all super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. There is a nice shoreline on the property as well. I can’t wait to go back and spend some more time there. ❤️ While we were there, they were setting up for a wedding. It definitely is the perfect location!

This place is a jewel. Ya want to feel like your are at home? STAY HERE! Is it a Ritz; No!! Is it clean and hospitable; yes!! Stay in the Inn to get amazing breakfast every morning. If you do a cabin breakfast isn’t included, fyi. Butch And all his staff are very easy going and laid back. What a view of the channel. Stay here. I’m coming back. View from window at sunrise !!

Beautiful place, great to relax

…unexpected amazing views, brews, laughter, walks that go forever, delicious breakfasts, BOTTOMLESS cups of coffee…and a host of charming characters running the place - which explains their well established clientele that have continued to return for years!

It's tough to rate this fairly because I was there whole renovations were occuring in the main building. It's a very unique and interesting building that must be steeped in history but has seen better days. If you enjoy the rich rustic traditions of Downeast Maine then look no further.The individual cabins available are quite comfortable, clean, cozy, and seem to have everything a person could want. The views around the property may be some of the best in the world. There is a lovely sand bar abutting the property that is worth cherishing. There are views from much of the property of Mt Desert Isle (Acadia National Park), Blue Hill Bay, and the mighty Blue Hill. A genuine gem.

We loved our 2 day stay at The Lookout. A little hard to find and in the middle of nowhere and we loved that. Butch and staff did a great job. Don' t miss thee BEST sunrises!
