Good food and prompt service. Too bad there were so few guests. Only saw one server but maybe Fridays are slow; not many guests. Hope things perk up. I’ll go back.

We went to El Tequila for dinner last night. We were trying to beef up their business (no pun). The food was good but the service was bad, Rick had to ask for a plate to eat from, Dianne had to ask for a glass to drink from, the waiter never came back to see if everything was okay, and the bathrooms were filthy. All the waiter did was go behind the counter and sit. Oh yeah, we were the only people in the restuarant. When we complained to the waiter sitting behind the counter he said, "don't come back." I could not believe my ears. Well, we won't go back.

The first impression was not good, very few patrons on a Saturday night and the floor was sticky all the way to the table. Service was good. The chips were good, but the salsa was way too hot. The menu is huge, and after we ordered we wondered what we were dking here. The the entres came! The steak was tender, very well seasoned and delicious. The tortillas were warm and fresh. My husband enjoyed his quesadilla and my rice and beans. We will come again!

The restaurant is unassuming and would be easy to drive by. However it is worth a stop. The food is good and some of the entrees are fairly unique and the more typical choices are well prepared. This restaurant opened just before Covid which is likely the reason that there are not more reviews.

Great atmosphere, customer service was incredible, lunch menu was good selection, tasty. and affordable.

The better place for real authenticity is EL RODEO by far. The portion sizes and presentation is far better. Taste is not watered down and thrown together like El Tequila. I lived in Mexico (Mexico City and Guadalajara) for 3 years and know what the food tastes like. People have no idea what is authentic since Taco Bell arrived in Brunswick. El Tequila is over priced for the slop they serve. P.S. Look at the cars in the parking lot on a Friday evening and tell me who has the most, El Tequila or El Rodeo.

Food was great, however the restaurant smelled bad and the floor was so sticky my flip flop stuck to the floor. The bathrooms were filthy as well. We will not return.

Food was flavorful and delicious! I had beef fajitas and the wife had alambre both from the lunch menu. Quick seating delivery of drinks and food. However, the server was on his personal cell phone upon food delivery and never checked back. Had to flag down to get check and boxes to go. No other customers on a Friday at 12:30pm. Will go to another location but not this one.

Much more authentic than any of the other local Mexican places. Salsa has some spice and flavor to it. Portions are bigger than expected and prices completely reasonable. This is now my go to Mexican restaurant! Very highly recommend to try it at least once.

The food is fresh, well prepared and spiced, and very good. I had vegetarian combo with spinach burrito and chalupa. Both were excellent. My husband really enjoyed his Chile relleno ( great batter not too thick) and beef tacos. Fine atmosphere and great service. We will be back. Go check it out!

After many disappointments around the state, it was delightful to find enchiladas verdes prepared the way I remember from visits to the Southwest. The chicken was very finely shredded and the spices were just right to be balanced by the beans and rice. My companion's camarones al mojo de ayo were superb, with real garlic sauce, not chunks of garlic. Drinks were voluminous and excellent. This is one of several El Tequilas in Maine that have been started by a Mexican family.

Waited for our food for 45 minutes when the waitress brought my dish which was cold and told us they were out of what my husband ordered. We asked to speak to the manager and he couldn't come out because he was cooking. They had alot of door dash orders. Maybe this place is ok for take out but it's not good for dining in.
