We ate there for dinner for the first time last night. The atmosphere was spot on however it was fairly cold in the back room we sat in (it was a little less inviting of a room compared to the other spaces to sit). The music was not what I would’ve expected for a candlelight dinner but it was fine. The bread and olive oil were great, the hamburger was really good but the fries were nothing to write about. They were flimsy and greasy and barely cooked enough. My husband ordered the steak and potato fritters and he shared his “fries” with me. He finished my fries with the malt vinegar aioli. He said, his steak was pretty good but wouldn’t order it again. Thought for the price it was a small plate of food- he was still hungry and ate the rest of mine. With all this said- the BEST part of our whole meal was the WINGS for our appetizer! They were amazing and we’d go back just for these! They are a must have!! Good portion for us to share! In fact we think they should bottle up the wing sauce and dipping sauce to sell, it was that good!! We plan on coming back to try other items! Next time I’ll take pics! Everything was well plated!

My husband and I and our 3 children had dinner here in late July, and we absolutely loved the food. Fresh, local ingredients and homemade recipes. Service was friendly and attentive. The sparkling Pinot Nero was so delicious I’m still thinking about it 5 weeks later (I highly suggest ordering it!). We can’t wait to go back.

Had an amazing time with my family at Oak & Ember. Celebrated my young daughter’s birthday there. Wine list was well picked and food was above and beyond. Service was top-tier and we cannot recommend this establishment enough. We will be back!

Some of the best caesar salad and sourdough I've ever had. A truly beautiful environment. The staff is attentive and so welcoming. We had the most fabulous service from Kelcy. The cocktails she made us were DELICIOUS. 10/10 would recommend.

Truly one of the best restaurants in Maine, if not the best. Everything was incredible, the drinks were divine, the establishment was so cute, and the food was delicious. Such a well crafted restaurant, my favorite was the drink menu with so many fun choices. Hot little spot!!

This place is great. Friendly staff, great food and awesome drinks. Had the guava sour and the summer thyme old fashioned and got sourdough, burrata and ribs. Absolute hidden gem.
I love to come here! The staff is so welcoming, and the owner, Shannon, is a sweetheart! the bartender, Kelcy tonight made amazing drinks, food is always great & the vibe is very homey and pleasant! food is a little pricey, but absolutely worth it! would recommend!

Excellent food, beverages, and atmosphere. We have been here four times and only once has food come out together. The other three times food has come out for different people in the party with 10-20 minutes in between with the worst being this evening when an entree never arrived at all. The food is excellent, but they need to work much harder on consistency of service.

I discovered this place based on people's reviews and decided to give it a try. However, I am disappointed and have to say that I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Firstly, it took 45-50 minutes to get our food, even though it was not a busy day. Secondly, this is how the $38 steak, which I ordered, looked like, after removing the onion out of my meal (which I had already asked the server for no onion in my food). I have serious doubts about the reviews that rated this place more than 2-3 stars. It's hard to believe that this place will stay in business with this kind of food and service. When asked how our meal was going, on two occasions, I politely but honestly let the server and manager know that I was not happy with the quality of the meal. Unfortunately, the restaurant did nothing to make things right. It is way over priced for the portion size and quality but also did not taste good. I would not recommend this to anyone.
