“Love love love this place! ALWAYS a great time! And the food is so yummy! The staff is always amazing! And I love how you can be on the dance floor or playing pool and just hanging out in the other area!”
“I've lived in Maine my whole life and I gotta say, I love donuts. I've tried many places donuts and I really like them all but this place is one of my absolute favorites! The service here is always great and the people look happy to be there! I will always stop at The Donut Hole when I'm in the area and I think you should too!”
“A very appealing name, appearance, and location, but sadly disappointing food. It seemed like the type of establishment you stumble upon by accident, and find amazing food. However, after actually trying their food, it was pretty mediocre in every way. Their apple crisp was neither hot nor crispy, and their ice cream on top of it had a strangely gummy texture. Their cookies were somewhat better, but nothing surprising. After my disappointment, I had no real interest in returning to try anything else, as I assume it's of similar quality. The food is completely fine, but my expectations were just too high.”
“Lovely place we had our wedding venue and daughters birthday party upstairs. Very nice and a good price for everything. Communication with owner could be a little better but she always responded back when texting. Very nice lady and enjoyed ourselves ?”
“Absolutely love the food, and definitely the best Chinese food in the area. Crab Rangoons are incredible. General Tso.. even better. Only orange chicken my husband will eat for take out. Huge fan of their lo-mein and fried rice!”
“The store kind of looks like a post office honestly but it’s actually a convenience store that serves food. The pizza is good for the price. I have had better but for the cheap price point it’s impressive!”
“Is this place 5 star? No. Is it the best "chineese" food I've ever had? No. Is it an awesome market, with a great selection of Asian foods and spices with an amazing family behind the scenes? Absolutely. I LOVE this place. The food is, good. Not the best, but it's always hot and scratches that "chineese food" itch. The market is well stocked with Asian ingredients, tools, candy and great local beer. Especially when you consider the location. The gas is always less than anywhere around. And the family that runs it couldn't be nicer! Multiple times I've gone in asking if they carry a specific ingredient. If they don't have it, they always make a point to find it for me the next time they go to the market. It's definitely a diamond in the rough for Buxton.”
“Lows Bar Mills. This is a small, quiet place with really great staff!!! The store is very open, with a self-serve hot coffee counter, drink coolers, and a wall of chips/snacks and some candy options. Lows does takeout only orders call or walk in. They typically have an assortment of hot and ready menu items in warmers at any point for quick walk ins (breakfast sandwiches, pizza, chicken tenders, fries) or you can place an order for a made fresh Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner from their wide variety of menu choices! They do an awesome 2 pizza special once or twice a week, and the pizza is really good!! My family has frequented Lows Variery and we will continue to do so!Kid-friendliness: Most of the menu items are kid friendly options.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps up to the store, and the open concept inside makes this store quite accessible to everyone!”
“5 teens behind the counter and every single one had top notch customer service skills. Not one walked by without asking if we were taken care of. Food was fast and hot. They never missed a beat. Very impressed!”
“Excellent as always!! Food was magnificent. I had the Panko crusted haddock, my husband had the rigatoni and my daughter had the pork loin. Service (Emily) was impeccable. Everything was spot-on and even during Maine restaurant week!!”
“Amazing place! Vickie was holding down the place by herself because of the weather, but she was so kind and excited to make our lunch! Everything was delicious and if you're looking for a great place to eat that's vegetarian/vegan friendly, this is the best place around. We can't wait to stop by again!Vegetarian options: Incredible cashew cheeseDietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan friendly, gluten-free options.”
“Delicious! Vegetarian friendly, tempeh sandwich and best fish and chips around. But my favorite part was the curved baskets, they made it really easy to cut the fish. Don't forget desert, sea salt vanilla swirled with roasted pineapple was better then most ice cream shops.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved waving through the window at everyone walking by.”
“A beautifully warm and inviting restaurant, in Biddeford, what a gem for the area! I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time recently and was blown away. Delicious sweets with Turkish, Indian and Kuwaiti influences, and fresh, flavorful Middle Eastern plates and sandwiches. My only regret…I wish I had travelled to eat here sooner!”
“Got the “OOB” omelette (Western). Huge breakfast and great coffee—they even offered a coffee to go. Super friendly staff. Next time we’re back at Old Orchard Beach we’ll be sure to be back.”
“Great coffee, tea, and pastries. GF packaged options. Beautiful warm decor and chill vibes. It's so great to grab a quality cup of coffee. Even have pour over available for aficionados.”
“We held a community even there on a Saturday afternoon. Forty geeky people playing games and enjoying each other's company. The large tables are great for games and the have a HUGE selection of games to borrow.”
“A lovely vibrant farm just 10 minutes from the maine mall. Cozy with delicious sandwiches, Mac n cheese, ice cream, and other goodies at very reasonable prices. The farm includes an assortment of animals including cows, sheep, emus, deer, chickens, deer, llama, pigs, and more! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about animal husbandry as well. An absolute gem and a must stop on your way through greater portland.”
“I need to visit as often as possible to try as many things as possible. Also, the best mocha in the area - without a doubt. One of the best I’ve had outside of Europe.”
“Great breakfast sandwiches!!!! We had ham, egg & cheese, and sausage, egg & cheese pastels. The pastel is a lightly fried puff pastry filled with the breakfast foods. Outstanding! Also had Cloud Puffs; basically round churro balls. Again, outstanding! Open for breakfast and lunch. Typical of Brazilian street food. Nice people, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.”
“Been coming a few times a year for about, what, 5 years now. This is always the first and most boozy stop for us in Maine. If you like bourbon, high ABV beers, actual flavor, and some dank vibes, this place is for you. The flights help to taper the high ABV so I can try things without loosing it too quickly. Best beer in Maine, and I’ve been to 16 breweries in Vacationland.”
“Loved this arcade. Super clean and great machines. I'll be back. What a fun way to spend my 73rd b'day! So many memories of the good old days. Even offered Pabst! Love it!”
“My wife and I have been here multiple times since we have moved here and the food has always been fantastic. The family is always really nice and accommodating and all the food has been amazing!”
“We always make it to Joseph's by the Sea without fail yearly during our OOB vacation. Bonus that's it close to the house we rent. Great atmosphere inside and outside, delicious food and drinks, great service, and the best live music. Always a fun time!”
“Delish! Grab a seat at the bar or at one of the tables and you won't be disappointed. The waitstaff is friendly and moves people through the restaurant in a timely fashion. The food is farm fresh and savory. Sure to delight your crowd young or old. Don't be alarmed by the line out the door as it is one of the only (and best) breakfast stops in the area.”
“The drinks are appropriately priced and so delicious!!! I got a blueberry mule and it was incredible. The vibes are immaculate too, the lighting is so nice and the deck is amazing too to get some fresh air. The bartender Jacob is so welcoming and friendly, really elevates the experience :)”
“Elevate Cafe is the beacon of greatness in a sea of sub-par tourist/vacation food.I try to find the best spots to eat whenever I visit a town that is new to me. There are just too many food businesses where quality has taken a backseat, as the business has found it's market and the owner has emotionally clocked out. When entering Elevate Cafe, I noticed the owner was there working the grill and instructing the staff. The quality of the food clearly meant something to this person. That was my hint that this could be a good spot.I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a rosemary bagel. I can only say that it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever eaten, and I was surprised to taste something so great in a tourist town. I ate there the following morning as well, because I was convinced that there couldn't be another place that was worth my time.I cannot wait to return to this place when I visit the area again.”
“What a wonderful experience! Tyce worked with me on catering 50 people for a company event, and it was perfect. She built a wonderful menu for our event, took time to make sure we had everything we needed, and even helped pack the car up for me. Everyone at the shop enjoyed her delicious food, especially the jerk pork :) I can't stress enough how great this place is! Go see Tyce today!”
“I struggle eating out most places because of allergies but this establishment is super helpful in helping you find something you can eat. I love to come get their strawberry bubble tea and their beef rice bowl- both are sooo tasty! Highly recommend and the owner is very nice too which is a plus ?”
“Great spot to hang out in downtown Gorham – it's right next to the METRO Husky Line stop and is a nice place to relax with a coffee and a snack while you're waiting for the bus back to Portland.”
“To start with the food is always good. Fresh and good quantity. However, if you look at the menu picture on their site it's just a picture only showing breakfast. If you go over to the All Menus site, that pricing is just about 1/2 what it actually is. We ordered sandwiches which listed for $7.99 on All Menus but actually were $14.99 when we picked up. It would be very helpful to have an up to date menu online.”
