Had a great time. Warm and welcoming hostesses and staff (it was a cold and rainy night especially for folks from the South). Happy hour (mussels and flatbread) were excellent !!!
Suggest you put a sample menu on website (happy hour and dinner) to give people an idea of selections

Kudos to 40 Paper for participating in Maine Restaurant Week. The 3 course meal I had was exceptional...will be back with some summer friends👍🍸👩‍🍳

Lovely and quiet winter night. Relaxed atmosphere , food prepared with care. Homemade pastas were a nice change.

Thursday night in December. Loved the SPICED APPLE drink. Smooth as a caramel apple! Mussels with sambuca! Favorite taste unlocked! Quiet night. Perfect setting! I’ll be back!

We had such a fun dinner here! Our server was wonderful and made everything easy in terms of sharing entrees and accommodating special requests. The mushroom flat bread was delish!

Best Happy Hour in Camden, hands down. I don’t know all the bartenders in Camden, but Ben is the best one I know.

SERIOUSLY! For the area - PLEASE go anywhere else. Lackluster service to start followed by mediocre drinks and unauthentic and overcooked eats.

August 2024. Save your money and your time. The charcuterie board was all made from pre-packaged goods. Waitstaff didn’t know the menu or how to distinguish a Pinot noir from Pinot Grigio. Uninteresting atmosphere.

Well, 1st, we informed the waitresswe would be gluten free, due to celiac allergy.
Next, I wish we'd taken photos of our meal to showcase some nice touches and some so so touches.
Drinks were fun and creative.
The caprese salad small a size.
Fried green tomatoes, nice.
The ceaser salad with grilled salmon spot on.
The braised pork and polenta, nice flavors.
The gluten free wild mushroom Alfredo was more the serving size for an appetizer.
Flour less chocolate cake, scrumptious.
Kinda a mixed bag for some items.
3 stars

This restaurant has super human abilities to cater to actual food allergies and restrictions. No one does this better or takes it more seriously. I can trust them with my health and well-being. Most restaurants - that's a hard no. Awesome event setup and staff. And they are actually open year round & five days a week. This is why they've been around for SO LONG. Thank you!

These folks are ON POINT. The non-alcoholic "mocktails" are clever and sophisticated. Event planning is easy. Small, ever changing menus are a good thing. No one needs three pages of menu. Keep it simple, and do it as well as these folks have been, longer than anyone else in Camden. If you have severe dietary restrictions or allergies, 40 takes this seriously. They are well known for dietary and allergy accommodations- even making their own gluten-free pasta from scratch. Bravo!!

Vegetarian options: 40 specializes in dietary restrictions and vegan, and actual gluten free. Even home made gluten free pasta.

The best at what they do! Not too many places make ALL their own homemade pasta, bread, and flatbread dough anymore. 40 Paper has done this for well over a decade now and is a fixture of the local community. The deep fried fingerling potato appetizer is as addictive as the Bolognese over homemade pasta. I see a couple one-star reviews shockingly - Can't please every single touron that breezes through town! This place is dependable, year round, fun and has a wonderful staff. Keep up the good work! Highly recommend!
