Great restaurant. Arrived on new years eve at 6, got a table about 6:30, by the fireplace in a quiet corner. Had a delightful lobster fritter and clam chowder, with a unique blueberry soda. Highly recommend.

Get the Thursday burger special. It's cooked to order and comes out with a ton of hot fries. Food at neighboring tables looked delicious.

We visited Camden in early December, 2025 just as the local holiday festivities were starting. Wonderful area, particularly to experience the magic of the holidays. Lots of fun events and convenient to take day trips to many other wonderful areas of Maine.

The fried haddock sandwich we had here may have been the best meal we had in Maine, and that's saying a lot because we had a lot of fantastic seafood while in Maine. If you're thinking this sandwich is anything like any other fried fish sandwich you've had, you would be wrong. It's impossible to overstate how wonderful it was. And the views from our table on the deck? Some of the best anywhere! The only negative part of the experience was the very long wait. We didn't get there until almost 2 pm and still had to wait 45 minutes on a table. Then, the amount of time it took for our food to come out was also quite long. This lunch took up more of our afternoon than we had planned, which was unfortunate because we were only in Camden for a day. Nonetheless, it was still a highly memorable meal, and I would definitely go back again the next time we're in Maine.

No lobster 🦞 or crab legs. Very pricey for comparable menus in area. The food was good, atmosphere was good, service was good. Big issue for me was I ordered a crab cake dinner $34 asked to add a piece of fish, refused add a piece. I saw on the menu they offer “add a crab cake to a salad for $16” I asked to add additional crab cake to my already $34 meal, assuming it would be $16. This was refused. I was told I had to order another full dinner. Do not expect to get any order changes (even when you are willing to pay for them). Sadly my first experience in Camden was not 💯. I left feeling like our patronage was “take it or leave it”. Next time we will leave it. This city was on my bucket list of places to visit. The Waterfront was highly rated but if you read the lower level reviews you see the same sort of “take it or leave it” mentality. Do better Waterfront Restaurant the city is wonderful make the experience match the dream.

The food was absolutely disgusting! Very overpriced. No lobster, lobster rolls, or clams. Any special request required an up charge. The worst restaurant along the entire coast.

The immediate impression you get upon walking into this restaurant is how cozy and charming it is. It's right along the water and has a few fireplaces on the inside. The oysters were fresh and the lobster club sandwich was delicious! My wife ordered the clam chowder and enjoyed it as well. We were really glad we listened to our hotel's recommendation to eat here and would highly recommend as well!

Pleasant and memorable experience. We got seated right away, even though the place was almost full. Nice table overlooking the bay.
Food was excellent, the lobster roll was delicious. Had the baked brie as a starter which was fine too. Very friendly and attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere.

Rustic harbor feel to a cozy restaurant. Got there at nightfall. Great service. Lobsters dinners were perfect after a busy and fun day.

The Waterfront Restaurant in Camden is an absolute gem and deserves every bit of its five stars! My dining experience here was fantastic from start to finish—truly one of the best meals we've had.
We ordered a few of their classics and every dish was executed perfectly. The Clam Chowder was rich and creamy, loaded with clams and had a wonderful, authentic flavor. The Mussels were fresh, perfectly cooked, and served in a delicious broth that we practically drank!
The Salmon was moist, flaky, and beautifully prepared. The highlight for me, though, were the Crab Cakes. They were incredibly flavorful, packed with real crab meat, and seared to a perfect golden brown. Honestly, my only complaint is that I could have easily eaten a dozen more!
If you're in Camden and looking for amazing seafood with a great view, you absolutely must visit The Waterfront Restaurant. Everything we had was top-notch!

The waterfront restaurant in Camden was worth the walk down Bayview Avenue. They have an outstanding menu and the sandwiches and mules that came out around our table looked wonderful. We had the. The crab roll, which was tasty as was the fish and chips, but I think we could’ve ordered better. The coleslaw was excellent as was there three bean salad. The clam chowder was excellent. We will return to try some other options on their menu.
