Tasty Box is a welcomed and unique spot in southern Maine, offering more than just standard Chinese takeout with an eclectic and diverse menu. The food is delicious, incredible, excellent, fresh, flavorful, and tasty comfort food without a heavy fried feel. Dishes like the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, orange chicken, and chicken with stringbeans are cooked really well with light, crispy batter and solid portions. The fried rice is insane and highly recommended. Other notable items include the vegetable chow mein, one tofu dish, Daikon cakes, and Taiwanese yolk buns made by hand. The icy dessert is a novel favorite. The service is incredible, with nice staff who go above and beyond. The place is always clean. It is a great, convenient, and absolute favorite for locals and families, offering crazy good prices for its unique offerings.
