“The Sea Glass Restaurant was always one of my parents' favorites in the greater Portland area. It was an easy selection to know we wanted to have a reception there following my Mom's Memorial Service. Hana, the events and catering manager, was wonderful to work with. She listened with such great compassion and ensured every detail was attended to. Jessica and Andre were amazing servers... attentive without being intrusive. Toward the end, Jessica volunteered that she overheard so many wonderful stories about my Mom. Just the right thing to say! And, BTW, the food was delicious and the gathering space perfect. I can't recommend Sea Glass more highly!”

“So grateful for this place! Not only are their butter crunch donuts *the best* any day of the week, but I recently ordered a birthday cake and cupcakes for my daughter's 1st birthday. The team was communicative, the turnaround was quick, and the cake was gorgeous and delicious. New go-to for event needs!”

“I stopped by C Salt a couple of weeks back for a really delicious lunch. I had the roast beef panini made with red onion jam and blue cheese, as well as the corn chowder, both of which I would love to go back and eat again. My husband is still talking about the Thai curry cauliflower soup. The retail shop was very cute with lots of Maine goods. And they also had a variety of prepared foods to take home. I'm glad that we found this lunch spot and will visit again next time we're in Cape Elizabeth.”

“We visited The Good Table Restaurant with a large party that included children. We were seated on the back, indoor porch, which was perfect. It was light and airy and actually felt almost like we were eating outdoors. I tried the side Greek Salad, which was excellent and the Baked Haddock as my main course. The fish was fantastic. It came with very well prepared mashed potatoes. Others at the table had clam chowder (reported to be great) and scallops ( I tasted them and they were awesome), lobster risotto, lobster pasta, mussels and a burger. Everyone was happy with their food. For dessert we tried several including the pound cake with strawberries, bread pudding, cheese cake and almond cupcake. All fantastic! There is a children's menu. We were told by our friends from Portland that the restaurant was recently sold. We can only hope that the new owners carry over some menu items and continue to provide such excellent food and good service!”

“Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food the potion doesn’t reflect the premium, however. If food portion was 30% more, it would be 5-star.The lobster toast is a must have but 3 small bites is $17 or $22 with governments tax , restaurant appreciation tax and tip”

“Creative and modern. Small dishes so you can try lots of dishes. And you’ll want to. Every dish finished before delivery by chef. Every plate was awesome. Wish the crust for bread under tuna was thinner. Tough.”

“No frills and some of the best oysters I've ever had. Snow Island was a perfect balance of briny and sweet. Clam chowder is solid it's a little bit more like a bisque but they cooked the potatoes perfectly for a soup.”

“The food looks delicious and that’s why we came here. However, when we arrived around 1:05 pm, the lady at the entrance was very rudy and told us we couldn’t dine in without being in the waiting list. It’s not what she said, it’s the way she said it.-Restaurant reached out to me in the nicest way and apologized for the situation about the host. I will be giving them a try soon as the food looks fantastic. Looking forward to it.”

“Where do I start?? I completely enjoyed my experience at Scales from start to finish. They came recommended by two completely different people (a resident and someone who frequents the area) so after the second time hearing the name, it was settled. I had to try it. We had a short wait in the lounge area for the dining room to open and had a drink. The Lavender Haze with the pea flower infused gin was fantastic; Woke my taste buds right up! Our waitress was incredibly helpful and graciously answered all of my 784 questions to help us settle on what to order (everything sounded so amazing, I couldn’t decide). We settled on the grilled octopus for the appetizer and while in Maine, I HAD to get lobster. I have no regrets!! Everything we tried was phenomenal. After seeing other tables order the scallops, I would’ve loved to try them too but had absolutely no room left. I can say this was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. When in Portland, Maine EAT AT SCALES!!”

“I tried many ice cream shops in this town but the best scoop goes to this shop with Maine blueberry cobbler. The other flavors I tried were not as good as this single flavor so if you go, just get the cobbler, it's delicious. Across the street there is another fabulous place which has real Italian gelato which actually have decided is higher quality since all of their flavors are superb, but this blueberry cobbler one took my heart as the top contender flavor in Portland.”

“This is a really nice place with really great food, and the staff is so welcoming it just creates an astonishingly enjoyable atmosphere. Would give ten stars per category if I could. Drove up all the way from Texas just for lobster and this place did not dissappoint! Definitely worth the visit.”

“Of all the bakeries and coffee shops my husband and I tried on our trip to Portland, Tamdem was our favorite! The Americano was delicious and the salted coconut maple scone was one of the best I've ever had with the perfect crunchy texture on the outside and soft inside. I also tried the blood orange scone, which tasted a bit pithy to me. There was a line at 11:00 on a Saturday, but it moved quickly and there was plenty of seating outside.”

“We sat at the chef's bar to watch the kitchen action and opted to pick out 4 vegetarian options from the menu. The portions were generous for 2 people. If you are a big eater and like to take home leftovers, you can choose the Chef's tasting menu, because it is difficult to choose from all the menu options. Each dish was so tasty, with layers of robust flavor & texture. The food is very rich and while we couldn't eat like this every day, we thoroughly enjoyed every option we chose. Simple but creative dishes. We also savored an absolutely decadent chocolate dessert, craft beer & an alcohol free cocktail. The music was a great addition to the overall vibe, and the restaurant set up is unique and bar-style downstairs. I'm glad we close to sit on the ground floor and watch the action. There is also an option to sit at a table upstairs in the mezzanine. We plan to return to try other menu options. A unique dining experience. Very nice, attentive staff.”

“We had a wonderful dinner at Isa Bistro. The food was simply delicious & reasonably priced. Portions were good. Nice selection of Wines, Cocktails and beer. The ambiance is cozy yet refined. Excellent customer service!! This will be one of our new go to restaurants.”

“This place is an absolute must go to restaurant in Portland. The atmosphere is very cozy, at least in the space and the lighting, but super hip. They play lots of dancey, fun music, which wasn’t deafening or obnoxious but just added to the great vibe.They have lots of great options, all smaller plates which makes it so much fun to share with whoever you’re with. We got the garlic edamame, bacon mochi, the cabbage pancake (I forget the official name, forgive me), and the udon. Every bite was perfect, and the service was awesome.We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super attentive despite being busy. The cocktail menu is also fantastic! Definitely worth trying at *least* one.”

“The food at Hunt and Alpine is always amazing and the cocktails are consistently the best I have had. Nothing on the drink menu jumping out at you? Tell them what you like and they will surprise you. We go there multiple times per trip and never get tired of it.”

“Really super delicious! My husband is from the middle east and this meal was homey and amazing to celebrate his birthday. We are definitely hard critics when it comes to middle eastern food and this exceeded our expectations. Perfect balance of flavors not too overpowering spices but not bland by any means. Probably our new favorite spot for pita pockets and will definitely be back often. Also a great price point and a good amount of food. Cant say enough good things! “This is a great up and coming restaurant in Portland. They have a few minor details to work on, but overall a very good experience. The wait staff is clearly working on Michelin style service techniques including uniform plate setting at tables, napkin etiquette, and plate presentation. Our waiter was overall good, but a bit cold and stand-offish. The menu has some great local ingredients, but it seems like they are trying too hard to get the buzz words in the menu. For example I enjoyed the Cauliflower Gratin and the menu description included local uni and lobster. The flavors of the cauliflower and the sauce were strong and really overwhelmed the delicate flavor of local uni to the point that the uni just took a back seat. The dry aged duck was wonderful and the aging process truly brought a unique texture and moistness to the duck. I also sampled the Atlantic cod dish which had a delicious broth, but was served with charred union which just did not match the delicate flavors of the broth. Overall a very good experience and worth a visit. I expect they will only get better with time.”

“Definitely should have looked at the menu before entering. However, felt obligated to stay once we realized how many employees were standing and staring at us as soon as we walked in. No shortage of attention. The bartender was friendly and attentive, but no cocktails struck our fancy. Other than chartreuse.Oysters and cod cheek were tasty.Atmosphere wasn’t as expected for a tavern, but I could see this being an amazing stop.”

“My Fiance and I came here for my birthday dinner and we were very impressed. We started off with the Meatballs and the Sourdough bread didnt lack in flavor and got us more excited for our entrees. Our server Rich was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We ordered the gnocchi and bolognese both were amazing the flavor combinations meshed and had our taste buds bouncing. We ordered the panna cotta, tiramisu, and another dessert with waffle cones and espresso and all 3 were spectacular!”

“Quick update: I highly recommend Miyake as a place to stop in for lunch, too! It's a quieter vibe than dinner, so perfect for grabbing a seat at the sushi bar. There are bento box lunch specials and chef's choice sushi and sashimi, or you can order rolls from the lunch menu; I had a wonderful red snapper ceviche roll and of course, their wonderful miso soup!”
