“We have been occasional diners since Leluco opened, and it’s always been a lovely treat. This year we also decided to trust them with our Thanksgiving meal, and they did not disappoint! Our 1.5 turkeys were amazingly prepared, lovingly packed, and easy to reheat. Our friends and I are not sure if we’ve ever had a more delicious bird. His name is Erik (Eric) in sure of spelling! But he was friendly and warm and made us feel completely welcome the entire time! Ask for him if you want great service! It’s hard to find these days . “I was coming back from a road trip and decided to stop here for dinner. Brandan was our server and he was very polite and nice. The service was amazing and didn’t have a single problem with anything. Refilled water and drinks without having to ask and was always around.”

“Best part: If you squeeze in between the desk and chair, you can sit on the floor right next to the (floor to ceiling) window, and it's like sitting on the edge of a cliff looking out over the Turnpike. The noise level is well-controlled, and it's quite peaceful looking at cars and trucks roll by from six stories high. Needs to be high room on the back of the West tower for this effect. Quietest a/c / air system in any hotel I've stayed in, and the controls were pretty legible. Bed was comfy and slept well. Some mystery spots on the coverlet. If you're a DIY type, take along a scraper and some paint and you can fix the peeling paint in the bathroom. Stay away from the breakfast, if you're not used to a mass-market diet, either way you'll do just as well at McDonald's. 'Fridge is useful if you want to lightly freeze things. If you want the good ol' days of a freshly-made bed every day, get on it immediately. We waited til day 3, and despite obediently ordering 24 hrs in advance, chaos still ruled when we returned at 6 pm. The same fellow running check-in eventually arrived with a few towels; we decided he was probably running the whole place on his own that night.”

“Once everyone else orders at the hibachi, you can't add anything, so be sure you know what you want before everyone orders or you're out of luck and won't have anything to eat from the hibachi. Their maki rolls are good. The avo-kyu is great.”

My wife likes the popular Coffee Boston, I do the Banana Split, and my kids like the freezes or floats with their favorite branded sodas. Always a great value and according to my mother-in-law the quality is the same as when she lived down the street in the 70s. Obviously there are a few more choices on the menu than there used to be.”

The food was so delicious that I actually found myself wishing I could get the recipes to make the dishes at home later. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was one of the most unique and flavorful sandwiches I’ve ever had. Every bite was incredible. My friend ordered the steak and cheese, and it must have been amazing because she ate every last bite of it without hesitation! The staff deserves special recognition as well. They were excellent, kind, and especially patient with my service dog in training, who is only five months old. Their understanding and welcoming attitude made the whole experience even better. Overall, this was a wonderful first visit, and I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!”

“10/10!!! My husband & I had to take the 1.5 hour drive to Portland for an appoinment. We came across this wonderful place while searching for a delicious lunch. Wonderful, superb authentic food! we tried the house made jalepeno poppers (ginormous & fresh) to start. Husband had the pork chimichanga (pork cooked to perfection) & I had to try the fried green tomato tacos. Blown away by all the flavors! Abby was our awesome server who served up a wonderfully funny sense of humor! Be careful though, she BITES!!! 😂”

“Just happened to stop here yesterday for a late lunch! So glad we did! My husband has had their pizza before I hadn't. The pizza was soo delicious! I ordered a Pineapple, Bacon & Hot Honey small pizza. It was one of the BEST pizza's I've ever eaten! I didn't take my receipt so I can't remember our waiters name & I wish I could because he deserves a shout out! He was amazing!! Would definitely recommend! & will definitely be back!”

“The food at Tacos Trios is really good. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful and you can tell they put care into what they make.

The salsas are an absolute highlight. Bold, fresh, and they elevate every single bite. Honestly some of the best salsa I’ve had in South Portland.

The one thing that keeps this from being a perfect experience is the pricing. It feels a little high for what you are getting and it adds up faster than expected. For a casual spot you find yourself spending more than you planned and it is hard not to notice. Would love to see the prices come down a bit because the food genuinely deserves to be somewhere everyone can enjoy without hesitation.

Overall still a great spot and worth trying. Just come with a little extra in your pocket.”

“I went to this store for the first time of tuesday afternoon this week. I'm not from the area and had gotten lost. My phone was not charged so I didn't have a GPS to help me find my way to where I was going. I'm a single mom and I was getting worried. A gentleman there by the name of James saw how worried I was and asked what was wrong. I explained my situation. Even though he was busy he took the time and actually wrote down every turn or exit I needed to take, he literally wrote step by step what I had to do to get me and my young children home safely. I can't even begin to express how much this meant to me, because of his kindness we made it home safe. It's workers like James that make businesses great. This store is lucky to have someone who not only does his job but goes beyond that and helps others without regard of being recognized.”

“I would just like to tell a very short story about how my friend Rex who is 65 years old he is a homeless man out of the Portland area. I took him in to Denny's in Portland to get breakfast on a cold Winter's day in January 2022. We ordered our food with our server who was very rude and after eating our cold yucky breakfast my friend Rex was refused a bathroom to use and then the manager came out and told us for NO REASON, to leave and never come back! It was the worst experience because all my friend Rex needed was a hot breakfast he doesn't bother anyone and never sticks up for himself or creates a fuss! So in looking for another breakfast place to eat we found IHOP in Portland and from the start of walking into that restaurant was so nice and clean the hostess was amazing and sat us immediately with a smile our server Bethany she was amazing so nice and kind she took our order and treated us like human beings she was not judgmental and she took our order the same way she takes everyone's orders with a smile and gracious heart! My friend Rex absolutely loves his fried eggs and his bacon so we now visit the Portland IHOP twice a week. I had told the servers about what had happened to us with our experience at Denny's and the server from IHOP told Rex and myself that we were allowed at IHOP anytime and that they would love to have us!! I can't even tell you how much this warms my heart knowing that I can take my friend who has fallen on some hard times into a restaurant to eat a very nice warm meal and have the best servers in the best wait staff around us! You are amazing IHOP and we love you so much! We will be there every Tuesday and Friday for bacon and eggs comforted by the graciousness and smiles of everyone in the restaurant at IHOP! Keep on being the most amazing restaurant in the world because from my point of view you absolutely are! We love you IHOP thank you so much for your hospitality!”

“This is a food court Johnny Rockets in South Portland. The shakes here are high quality and the food is a really well done, on top of the staff is very nice. Again it was a very good burger. This is more like an 80s burger joint family style. the food was excellent. However....I shake, 1 fry, 1 burger, 1 soda. $31.00 before tip.”

“We have been driving by for months, and finally decided to swing-in to pick up a little dinner. Small side of orange chicken, large chicken fried rice and two spring rolls did the trick. Nicely priced about 28 bucks.
Orange chicken was really sweet and tart I enjoyed it very much My husband was on the fence about it. Chicken fried rice was delicious, full of big pieces of chicken and fried egg. Hubby really liked it I could have done without as much chicken. The Spring roll had a really soft inside texture. I very much enjoyed it. My husband didn't care for it. We will be back to try out other dishes.

“If you know, you know. Amato's is one of the quintessential sandwich shops in Maine, and as a born-and-raised local, there really is nothing like it, as they proport in their slogan. When living out of state, every time I came home to visit, my first stop was for a Real Italian, a Moxie, and Humpty Dumpty All Dressed chips.

I've had a generic review here for years, but I needed to update it after this weekend. It was a busy Friday, I was on my way home from work and picking up an order my wife had placed for the whole family. I didn't have the order details, and so some of this was certainly my oversight, but when I arrived home, a sandwich was missing, and another was generously lacking in vegetables, though I would only learn this last bit on the drive back to the store.

Upon explaining the situation, no less than three staff members jumped to fix the situation, finding the lost sandwich, remaking the other, and additionally providing me with a quart-sized soup/salad container of freshly sliced veggies, just to make sure that we had all we needed. The customer service was - in a word - exceptional. I had even proclaimed that this was not enough to sour me as a customer, and they still insisted on going above and beyond.
