“We popped into Central Provisions today on our stay in Portland and I was blown away by this restaurant. It was a very intimate, beautiful space with amazing flavor. Our server, Andy, made the experience. They were very kind and made dining with an allergy a breeze. Do not skip Central Provisions when you come to Portland!
Dietary restrictions: Their allergen menu is wildly helpful. It's color coded and makes it very clear what is and is not safe, and whether or not an allergen can be removed from the dish. I have a severe nut allergy and I felt completely safe eating here.”
“We had such a delicious meal at Scales! Everything was presented beautifully and tasted excellent. Service was on-point and the atmosphere is super chic. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone in the Portland area!”
“Great place to have fresh oysters, lobster roll and hangout with friends. They only accept reservations for party > 6 , so you either come early or get on the waitlist and find somewhere else to have “dinner” first then come here. We get there around 6 and put party of 2 on the waitlist, they said an hour and 40mins but we waited for two hours and thought we just checking in again with the waiter. It turns out they did tried sending out a text but for some reason I am not getting it. They’re able to seat is right away. Had half a dozen different kind of oysters, my favorite was John’s river and Mere point. The lobster roll was the most special one I’ve ever had, soft brioche and the brown butter lobster combination was amazing! The wicked blueberry ale was a nice addition to the meal.”
“I had super high hopes for this one. Not totally disappointed but also not eagerly running back for another reservation either. The hanger steak was admittedly delicious and service was top notch. I had fabulous company and we enjoyed our time but at the end of the day it comes down to the food right? Our appetizers fell a little short in flavor and we all agreed we should’ve just skipped the dessert all together. So the entree (the important piece) was great but for the price we were hoping we could’ve said that for the entirety of the meal.”
“Went there on Saturday 3/23 and had the most amazing dinner with friends Our server Leah went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our night She was soo awesome ! Extremely professional, nice and polite . I don’t remember when I had such amazing service last time If you go for dinner please ask for Leah ! You won’t regret ! She rocks !!”

“Last month our flight to Portland was delayed a considerable amount of time due to weather issues and it looked as though we would not be able to make our 5p.m. reservation. My daughter called from the tarmac in Boston where we were rerouted and refueled and explained the situation. The hostess, Susie, was very understanding and compassionate And said that even though our table was booked for another party a 7, we should come in and she would see what she could do. We got there late but Susie greeted us warmly and told us not to worry about being rushed that she had arranged things so no one would be inconvenienced. The atmosphere was warm and cozy; the food so very delicious and our waitperson, Anika, was the best. Atmosphere, impeccable service, food and warmth all rate 5 stars and another visit next time we are in Portland.”

“Anyone that gives this place less than five stars is delusional, has no idea what they’re talking about, or is just a plain hater. I have been going to this place since they opened. I have never had anything but five star service. The food is always on point, I would recommend to anyone in the weight as well worth it. This place is a treasure in one of Portland. Best places if you’re looking for El Salvadoran comfort food. my favorite thing to order from there is the beef stew dinner it’s not actual stew, but it is delicious”
“What a fantastic evening! Our server Julio (AKA Javier/Dru/MOUTHIE) was amazing. He made excellent drink and food recommendations, was friendly, funny and made the entire experience enjoyable. The food was DELICIOUS, atmosphere was lively. Highly recommend this place!
Parking: We parked at the Fore St Parking Garage and walked. Street has parking but was packed.”
“Must try fries! We read about this being the can’t miss food item in Portland and everyone was right! Hot crisp and amazing! Got the flight of sauces and we were in heaven! Well done!”
“Fantastic food and service. Sat at the chefs counter and watching them prepare food was like watching a well oiled machine. Moving parts and working together perfectly. Chef found out it was our anniversary and sent us an extra dessert. Felt so special to have this kind of personalized touch!”
“Awesome place away from Old Port for fresh oysters.Smoked trout dip was delicious too. Easy parking.”

“I expected great coffee and got it, but the biscuits and scones were delicious- even better than my own homemade.”

“Very good gelato outside of Italy! We ordered chocolate, mascarpone pistachio caramel (unique and so so good) and the blueberry crisp. The server was so sweet and friendly to everyone that came in. The portion sizes were more generous than I expected!! I wish we were here longer to come back.”

“We brought our soccer team over for a team kick-off party and couldn't have picked a better spot. The staff was so friendly and excited to see us, the food/drinks were delicious, and all our families said it was the perfect spot to gather. We'll definitely be back!”

“I stopped at Oxbow as part of my self-guided brewery tour of Portland. I had grand plans to hit 6 breweries the day our cruise ship was in port, but a delicious lunch at Duck Fat derailed my plans and robbed me of both time and stomach space.
I hit Oxbow on the walk from ShipYard to Lone Pine and Goodfire.
A reason I mentioned Duckfat is because they have a takeout location right next to Oxbow- so you can pair the best fries in Maine with a ton tasty brews.
Speaking of the beers, the ones I tried were delicious. Oxbox has a great mix of Farmhouse ales and barrel-aged sours. Perfect pairings with salty frites!
The inside space is substantial, which is great for Maine's "cold, yet damp" environment. The day I visited, all their garage doors were open, the outside bar was bustling, and their patio was full.
I highly recommend Oxbow- especially for a change of pace from the mainstream hop-heavy breweries. Their offerings of Grisettes, Biere De Garde, Saisons was unparalleled.”
“Had a wonderful 30th Birthday dinner for my oldest son. This establishment was so amazing in atmosphere, service received, and the sheer quality of their food. Prices are not for the faint of heart, but it was perfect for the occasion. Highly recommend this establishment across the board. You can't really go wrong.”

“Unreal experience! Our bartender, Josiah helped us pick some amazing dishes. We can’t wait to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Delicious drinks! Bartenders are knowledgeable and artfully craft fantastic drinks. If you’re looking for a unique drink, try the, “Green Eyes”. It’s made with a unique liquor called, Chartreuse and is a blend of sweet and earthy flavors. The snapper hot dog and pretzel are great items to enjoy. Get the pimento cheese with your pretzel!”
“I was initially skeptical because the Tavern had a number of reservations available on a long-weekend Saturday night.
Dumb, right?
What a great experience. I recommend the Sazerac, if you're into that kind of thing. The clams Casino, oysters, and crudo were all excellent, and the scallops are a dish I won't soon forget.
The asparagus was also extremely tasty, as was the steak au poivre.
Whomever does the sauces really, really knows what they're doing.
Overall, a wonderful dinner. Service was relaxed, attentive, knowledgable and personable. And the atmosphere was calm and fun, without being overly loud.
Would heartily recommend.”
“Been talking about Bar Futo for a year now ever since their pop up at the amazing Koji Club in Boston. Here’s how it went. Get one of everything. Drink a bottle of sake. Chat with amazing staff. Order more yakitori. Have some beers. Order a crazy dessert. Buy the kitchen some shots. And listen to the story of the amazing chef and owner on what it takes to open and run the best new restaurant in New England. I said it. Sorry Boston but gonna have to step it up notch. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Great brunch spot. The mimosas were delicious. Food was great! I recommend the huevos Ocotillo and Clark Street Eggs Benedict. Churros were an awesome choice for dessert! Busy atmosphere and super friendly and helpful bartender. We will definitely be back.”
“This place was amazing the cocktails were unique and generous and we started with the shredded chicken and green beans both fresh and tasty I had the spicy beef ramen which was so good the beef was so tender and veggies fresh with amazing tasting broth and my girlfriend had the duck ramen which was succulent with delicious salty broth the staff were very friendly and inviting and when we called to ask them if we could move our reservation a little due to the fact we got to Maine little later they assured us it was no issue we were only visiting but if I were a local i would be a regular but will certainly revisit when I’m in Portland again!!”
“My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner on 2-15. We sat at the end of the sushi bar- it was a little tight when it got busy, but it’s definitely the best sushi place we’ve been to. Our server Chad was awesome and made us feel very welcome. I told a few friends and decided to write a review”
“Had brunch at this restaurant and it was fantastic!! The atmosphere in the hotel is cute. It used to be the newspaper building, so they carried this theme through. They have vintage typewriters on the wall in the lobby, so cute. Our server, Anna, was so sweet and kind! Food was sooooooo good. I would highly recommend this place. This is off the beaten path in Portland, it’s not in the port area, but the walk is so pretty to get to it. You can go up to exchange street, with so many cute shops. Definitely worth the short walk, especially if you’re there on a Sunday and all the other brunch places by the port have 45 minute waits.”
“The grilled lobster linguine was delicious! Perfectly cooked lobster and linguine was buttery and garlicy. Glad we were able to get a reservation our last day in Portland.”
“We had dinner last night and it was excellent!!! Service was wonderful, drinks were perfect and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!”

“Had the best lobster roll and we are new englanders. Your staff was awesome! Thank you”

“Stopped here for breakfast while traveling. There was only one car in the parking lot so we were a little suspicious. We took the chance and were not disappointed! The place seemed to have been recently renovated, and was very clean. The food was delicious. We were in and out in a very short amount of time. We were traveling with a camper, and there was plenty of parking area. We were on and off the interstate quickly.”
“Came for light fare and cocktails. Our waitress (Kylee) helped us choose our cocktails based on our preferences while describing the flavor profiles well enough for us to try something we might normally not gravitate towards.
We were exceptionally pleased with the cocktails, food, and service. 11/10 would go back over and over again. The deviled eggs were the best we’ve ever had, the oysters were fresh and delicious, and the Sleight of Hand cocktail was especially majestic.”

“Great breakfast sandwiches away from the tourist waterfront - not a long walk and definitely worth it!”
“This place is amazing. Very LGBTQ friendly, and wonderfully nice management.”
“One of the best dining experiences in Portland highly recommend”

“Best croissant we've had this side of the Atlantic, also had the pan au chocolate, blueberry scone, prosciutto and asiago croissant and walnut roll, highly recommend”
“Stopped in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised to see some great savory treats alongside their sweet ones. Their meat pie was delicious… can’t imagine what it’d be like if I’d waited to heat it up first!”
“Had the best lobster roll and we are new englanders. Your staff was awesome! Thank you”
“The best in Portland. Great beer and wonderful employees. Cannot wait until they can distribute to Minnesota!!”
“OMG. I wrote this review so long ago. Since then I have had nearly a thousand coffees here. My dog has a locker here. It’s anything but sterile, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable about coffee and cannabis alike. 10/10 would recommend!
—
Coffee was good, great even but the atmosphere was a bit sterile. I was there just after opening, so I'll try again in a few weeks.”
“Stopped for a drink to meet friends before dinner reservations. I absolutely loved the vibes and decor inside the space! And the name was so cute. They had old school Nintendo going on the projector screen so we passed around the controls and played Tetris for a bit. So fun! They also had a Roll For Happy Hour special on Negronis. Not a Negroni girl but I also loved this. Just a cute and engaging bar with the right vibes. Our bartender was also lovely ”
“My husband and I had lunch here before an appointment nearby. This restaurant had delicious food. My husband ordered the Down east Ruben, which was made with deep fried haddock with Cole slaw piled high on the bun with melted cheese. He said it was delicious! I opted for the classic BLT. Again, the sandwich was delicious. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and ample bacon was piled on top. I watched a young man bus the tables. He was extremely thorough cleaning the tables and seating. He even washed the items on the table (salt & pepper shakers, ketchup and hot sauce bottles). This young man then set the tables for new customers. Being a bit of a clean freak, I appreciated this young man's work. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.”
“Some of the best beer in Southern Maine, always a ton on tap”

“I went to the coast of Maine for a couple of days and I saw Geary's Original Pale Ale for sale in a local store, and am I ever glad that I purchased a case! By far the finest pale ale that I have ever tasted in the US of A...it has the qualities of everything that I enjoy in a pale ale, thank you Geary's, I'll be back for more...”
“Good food, great service and top notch staff. Maisie is our absolute Favorite! She’s very friendly, knowledgeable, quick and provides service with a smile! Its always a FUN time when she’s working!”
“Great place. I had the oyster sampler and it was delicious! Highly recommend!”
“My 4 star on atmosphere is simply because this location is non-stop busy. That is not remotely anything the staff can change. Tip on food...when ordering food and beverage, make the food requests first, the food comes out usually faster. As for the staff, I think they're awesome. 90% of the time they are awesome - depsite having a job where you stand all day and there is a constant stream of requests! Sure there may be a surly one every once and awhile...but just take a moment to let them know you're glad they're there and they do a complete 360 flip. And...the dog treats are a huge bonus!”
“I LOVE DUNKIN DONUTS BECAUSE THEY UNDERSTAND REALTY.SUGAR IS POISONOUS WHERE SWEETNERS ARE IT'S ANTI DRUG .
Kid-friendliness: THE STAFF BELIEVES AND ENFORCES A POLICY OF PROGRESS TOMORROW STARTS TODAY.
Wheelchair accessibility: ROLL IN ROLL OUT WOTH A WARM AND FUZZY FEELING ON THE TUMMY .”
“Nice bar and restaurant. Upstairs is best for nice dinning.”
“They were SO kind. I felt embarrassed because I don’t know the Starbucks menu. I am converting from DD and they let me sample flavors and took their time educating me on the menu. Thank you Mae! And the other employee was super helpful just started my day right! Not used to such kindness! Starbucks fan, for life.”
“I’m generally a big fan of this location. It’s a Starbucks at the airport, so the prices are significantly higher than non-airport stores. Just be prepared for some sticker shock. Still, the employees are almost always really friendly (a big plus at the pre-dawn hours when I’m usually here), the service is always extremely fast for how busy it is, and I’ve never had any complaints with the food or drinks. It’s by far the best food / drink option at an airport that desperately needs more selection. Keep up the good work, PWM Starbucks!”
“To our surprise we came across this place after waiting to long for another place.. the appetizers were amazing and the food was very high quality and very well presented. I was very happy! ”
“Just had my first meal there - Pad Krapow 4 star w/ chicken. Absolutely FANTASTIC. Flavors were very bold, very fresh, loved the holy basil and the side cup of fish sauce w/ bird chiles. Best Thai I’ve had in Maine, would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves Thai!!!”
“The grilled lobster linguine was delicious! Perfectly cooked lobster and linguine was buttery and garlicy. Glad we were able to get a reservation our last day in Portland.”

“Everything was delicious! Owner took special care making the gluten free dishes!”
“Delicious Empanadas very flavorful. Great customer service and good Mango Margaritas.
Quaint & cute atmosphere. This will certainly be our go to for authentic empanadas:)
Good portion at a reasonable price point.”
“Amazing food. I went here in August and it’s now November and I can’t wait to go back to Portland to go here again. Very friendly service and amazing and fresh food!”
“Best coffee we had in Portland. I wouldn't recommend the espresso on its own, but they do make good espresso drinks—try the cortado and the cappuccino. Really lovely cider too.
Cute ambience with terrarium plants; nice to read a book by the big windows.”
“Great fresh fried seafood, unpretentious atmosphere. All about the quality.”
“The drinks were delicious (espresso tonic & Ireland fog)! Even with a full restaurant, they were quick to serve food, friendly, and attentive. It’s a nice cozy spot to start your day in ”

“Becky's is a good restaurant for locals and visitors alike!”
“Awesome place for beer. So many options from all over New England and the USA. Stop the people are so nice. We’ll be back the next time we are in Portland.
Oh get the pretzel with beer cheese. Good stuff.”
“Atmosphere is 5 stars. Got all the pub artifacts. Get a sub from Sal's. The staff seem cool. Cold, dank, underground, nice televisions. Classic local dive bar vibes. Walk here and order a Guinness.”
“Coffee By Design in Portland boasts exceptional customer service, with consistently friendly and polite staff. The coffee quality is unparalleled, arguably the best in Southern Maine. The only downside is the wait time, attributed to the shop's perpetual popularity. Despite the minor inconvenience, the overall experience is worth the brief delay for a sip of their outstanding brew.”
“Delicious, mini Lobster rolls with plenty of meat on each. Enjoyed the Wasabi - not too strong, just a hint of wasabi flavour and heat
Kid-friendliness: Burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches available for anyone who doesn’t want lobster. High chairs available.”

“Oh man, I’m still thinking about this meal.
So good! They have a few GF options which were DELICIOUS, the dishes were succinct and blend of wonderful flavors. Cocktails were some of the favorites I’ve had in Portland!”

“Loved everything about this place! It’s intimate, charming, and relaxed. The staff is wonderful— friendly, helpful, and deservedly proud of everything they serve. The oysters are sublime! The chowder is the best I’ve had in many years. Can’t wait to go back!”

“If you have not eaten here it is a must. Make sure to ask for Sarah as she is a phenomenal waitress.”
“Garlic Naan is a must try. It like candy.
Chicken curry is a must try.
Spice level for non-south Indians is 3 or less than 3. For south Indians, go for 4 or 5.”
“great experience from moment one. the host welcomed me into the cozy restaurant and escorted me upstairs to a table by the window. i ordered a shot of espresso and a mimosa that came out promptly. couldn’t decide between the cinnamon apple pancake or the lobster scramble so i got both and was glad i did; words can’t do them justice.”
“Friendly and inviting, tasty snacks, love the atmosphere.”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butcher Burger, and my experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Hawaiian Burger, a culinary masterpiece that left me craving for more. From the first bite, I was transported to a tropical paradise of flavors. The perfectly grilled beef patty was juicy and succulent, complemented by the sweet and tangy pineapple slices that added a delightful tropical twist. The combination of crispy bacon, melted cheese, and the chef's special sauce created a symphony of tastes that danced on my palate. The attention to detail in every aspect of the meal was evident, from the fresh, high-quality ingredients to the expertly crafted presentation. The service was exceptional, with the staff displaying a genuine passion for providing a memorable dining experience. The ambiance of Butcher Burger added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. It struck the perfect balance between a cozy atmosphere and a vibrant energy, making it an ideal spot for casual dining or a special celebration. Whether you're a burger aficionado or simply someone looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Butcher Burger is a must-visit. The Hawaiian Burger is a taste sensation that will linger in your memory, and I can't wait to return to explore more of the menu. Five stars without a doubt!”
“Love this place! Great owner, great food and cocktails (and generous happy hour offerings!) and it fills a critical need in this neighborhood for a laid back, easy place to grab a reasonably priced bite/drink — without the typical sports or dive bar ambiance.”
“Tremendous food, awesome drinks, loved the staff, upstairs and down. Oysters were gorgeous!!!”
“The absolute best chowder (I love the seafood chowder best) in the whole world!! I highly recommend Gilbert’s”
“Every time we drive up to main we make a stop at the Alagash brewery and have food from Bite Into Maine. A must-have activity. I don’t eat lobster, my wife loves their lobster rolls A LOT. I LOVE their pulled pork and potatoe salad and coleslaw. Super relaxing atmosphere.
Parking: Plenty of Free parking on site and around.
Kid-friendliness: Totally kid and pet friendly atmosphere, plenty of space for kiddos to run around. You can bring your pets in to the main area (not indoors.)”
“Friendly staff, great prices and the yummiest smoothies! I give 10 stars!”
“If you’re in Portland and like Thai, make sure to stop in. We grabbed a late night meal, with some tasty shrimp skewers, and my new favorite meal - Goi Moo. I seriously cannot stop thinking of this dish and plan to try recreating it at home!
Food, atmosphere and service were 5 ⭐️. Go enjoy!”
“I stopped in here after a bit of walking for breakfast. I had the Belgium waffles and croissant breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious! The bread was so flakey and chewy, while the waffle was sweet, crisp, and soft...right on point.”
“The food was delicious, cocktails were good, and atmosphere was awesome. Bar staff and patrons were friendly and welcoming. We ate in restaurant area, food was a little slow and if you do the salad I'd suggest some of the extras (cheese etc). Even with slower service/ok salad, the atmosphere and flatbreads made up for it. I loved that you can do half and half on any size! Make sure you're going for the flatbread, not much else on the menu but they are so good!
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian flatbread options, several unique, seasonal creations.
Dietary restrictions: GF Crust option, they may have had vegas option but not sure”
“Great food and a fun atmosphere! Excellent quality food with fresh ingredients. The fish tacos are amazing! Everything, start to finish was amazing. The owner is fabulous and the staff are very friendly.”
“We got there at 9:05 pm, they had just closed. But....they let our party of eight in anyways. Food was great and so was the service. Thanks Boones!”
“Absolutely the best Sichuan food I’ve eaten anywhere. Service and atmosphere were great but it was the did that set this place apart. By far the best I’ve eaten. Who knew that Portland was the place to go for Chinese?”
“Hands down my favorite restaurant. Quick service, amazing food and drinks that never disappoint! They have the best staff, always so friendly and kind.”
“Love most dishes I have had there. Fast friendly service! Nice people.”
“We visited Margaritas in Portland, ME today to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. Anthony was our waiter and he was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel Important even on a super busy day. Our meals were fantastic. Our daughter has a shellfish allergy and he made sure we knew any possible dangerous choices for her. I am looking forward to our next visit and I will always ask for Anthony if he is available. Thank you for a wonderful celebration”
“Fabulous crafted cocktails! Great small plates! Wonderful staff!”
“Amazing beer. Friendly Staff. Cozy atmosphere. Good people. Go there!”
“TL;DR: best cocktail bar we tried in Portland, with great service, fun vibes and the most amazing drinks!
We almost walked past the door to this place which made me like it immediately - it's on a busy alleyway with a bunch of other bars and restaurants and has a nondescript entrance. It doesn't try hard at all and that is what sold me on the place.
It's very divey looking on the inside, and has super fun decor and played rock music amongst other things. The service was extremely friendly, helpful and fast and our server was so friendly. The drinks were really well executed and the furthest from divey I've ever tasted! The bathroom is fun - check it out when you're there. Their menu has great aesthetics and very fun to read.
One of the bartenders is a bartender I've seen featured on the Food52 channel so I was feeling very positive about our drinks. And they were... So. Good. And very reasonably priced after drinking through bars in NYC and SF.
Aviation: I loved the addition of pomegranate and cardamom. This is one of my favorite drinks and I loved their take on it.
Espresso martini: ridiculously good - they need to bottle that salty coconut foam and sell it
Pimms Cup: extremely well balanced and not too sweet, this was so refreshing
Oaxacan Old fashioned: not as smokey as expected since they had both mezcal and tequila, and the chili demerara added a nice kick
We got seated right away after an early dinner. But the bar got packed very quickly, though they also had seats outdoors. The bar serves food too but we didn't try anything.”
“We popped in after a show and enjoyed every sip and bite. A varier of small plates that included Korean Fried Chicken (tender thigh meat with a perfect amount of kick), Jalapeño Tempura (delicious), Grilled Mackerel (too salty for our taste but beautiful presentation), and Chicken Meatballs (three-bite meatballs w/a demi glaze and egg yolk) as well as a Salmon Poke Bowl. The server (filling in for the bartender) recommended thé Soju (the Korean version of Sake). I am now a fan and on the hunt for it in Central Maine. All the staff was wonderful and service was swift. What a gem in the middle of Old Port! We will definitely go here again and want to try the bbq downstairs (think diy hibachi!)”
“Excellent food and friendly service with unique and inventive dishes. We made dinner reservations for a Saturday night and were seated when we arrived. The server was friendly and helpful and recommended 4-6 dishes for two people to share. The dishes were unique and came out as prepared and all very flavorful with quality ingredients. Some were a bit small for sharing but others were much larger and overall balanced out on value. The Lobster Popovers were very good but our favorite were two fall inspired dishes the roast acorn squash and mushroom gnocchi. We would definitely order all three again. Prices were reasonable considering flavors and quality however we skipped dessert as nothing on the menu interested us. A great place for dinner out.”
“Marked vegan items and knowledgeable staff, can switch cream to coconut cream in other veg dishes. Great flavor and one of the best roti I've had. Spice (heat) runs lower than expected.”
“This might be the best overall bourbon list I have ever seen at an establishment. Prices were reasonable as well. I just wished they opened earlier than 4pm. Burger next door at Rigby is 5 stars.”
“Walked in with no reservation, had called prior, and was told it could be an hour to two wait. We had our heart set on the prime rib, so of course, we would wait. Just before we left to grab drinks elsewhere while we waited, I asked the lovely ladies if there still is prime rib, a gentleman jumped in and asked what size and he would be sure to not on the reservation and let the kitchen know. We walked out blown away by this customer service. Sat at a bar across the street for less than an hour before we were texted that our table was ready. Upon arrival, the lovely hostesses showed us our seat. Our waitress came over sweet and super attentive. She asked us if we were still interested in the prime rib... how did she know! Great customer service. Come to find out, the communication with the hostess and waitress was impeccable. Again, blown away with the customer service. We were super pleased with our calamari and prime rib dish. Everything was so full of flavor. Come to find out, the gentleman who was kind enough to hold a prime rib for us was Steve Dimillo himself. All around, great experience and huge kudos to that team and owner for a all around fabulous experience!!!”
“Our drinks, appetizers and meals were incredibly delicious! Our waitress was top-notch.”
“If you are looking for some of Portland's most amazing foods come here. Today I had their special which was a softshell crab dish that was out of this world. I have never had the same thing twice at MaMi because all of the dishes look and smell and taste so amazing I want to try them all. It's truly an experience.”
“Five diners in our party--aged six to sixty-five--all left stuffed and happy! Fantastic pizza, playful and delicious garlic bread, wonderful pasta, fabulous service. Highly recommend!
Kid-friendliness: A pizza option and a spaghetti option... what more could a kiddo want?”
“Beautiful evening for outdoor wedding anniversary meal at the Regency Garden Cafe. The server was very attentive and offered us complimentary desert for our anniversary. Second time we celebrated our anniversary at this location and would do it again”
“Can this be called a hidden gem? Friend's and Family is easy to overlook from the street. It's slanted window disguises an interior that is open and airy. The high ceilings seem to remind you to breathe deep.
The food and drinks speak for themselves, but it's obvious from how beautiful and well kept the kitchen is that you've stumbled into something special. It's perfect weather for a spritz from here and they make them perfectly. Don't walk by.”
“We ordered a catered taco bar last week through Bird & Co. for our annual shindig and boy was it worth it! Our spread was incredible. Every item was SO delicious and packaged as cute as can be. Pat made everything so easy for us. No where in town have I received such amazing service. Bird & Co. is my new fav. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”
“Really cool decor at this interesting bar in Portland. Food is good (not amazing) and a brilliant drinks selection. Atmosphere and decor makes it somewhere I’ll definitely return to.”
“Best cocktails we:ve had in ages. Great views, food (what little we had was great), AMAZING staff. Can't wait to come back.”
“There was no one else inside and we were a little worried, but the food was amazingly delicious. People are missing out by not giving this gem in the rough a try! I had the butter chicken and garlic naan. Prices aren’t bad, especially for Portland…I wish there had been more butter chicken because it was so good, but I left feeling very full. My partner had the mango chicken and he said it was delicious.”
“It was a well thought out minimalistic design while still creating a warm, comfortable feel. I believe the term that was thrown out by one of the members of the group was, this feels like Central Perk. Angoor is an experience to share with friends, family or business acquaintances. Well done Sangeeta and Rafael!!”
“Great food and drinks. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere. My favorite place in Portland!”
“The food here is absolutely unique and delicious! I had oysters, whole sea bass (stuffed with rice), green beans with feta, eggplant ... each dish distinctive and perfectly prepared. It's got to be one of the best restaurants in Portland.”
“We stumbled upon Clam Bar en route to Portland Head Light and had the best lobster roll and clam chowder of our vacation! Super tasty all around, loved the light broth used for the chowder.”
“the margaritas are awesome especially if made by Anthony! they are Delicious!”
“The food was SPECTACULAR! Even the carnivores in our group enjoyed it!”
“What a great place, lots of varieties of beers and sodas. Wife and I got a flight and a pizza. beer was tasty and a great variety. Pizza had the perfect crust and well cooked. Fantastic atmosphere great place for a stop.”
“We loved the atmosphere , I loved the food , and the staff were very nice . I recommend and will be back !”
“Solid Neapolitan pizza with both traditional and more creative toppings. The location is a bit bland with no distinct feeling or character. Food is great though perhaps a bit over-hyped to say it's the best in Portland as some claim. Overall a worthy addition to Portland's pizza scene.”
“Best food!! First time in the area and we highly recommend Rebel Cheesesteaks!! Caught him at Portland Zoo :)”
“This place is great for room service or eating in the restaurant. Friendly staff, friendly guests, and multiple comfortable places to sit and chill. I stay at the adjacent hotel 3+ times a year because of the food options, bar and location.”
“Great place for your soon to be ex to meet with his girlfriend for a romantic interlude.”
“I can't say enough about how truly stunning and perfect this wedding venue is and how wonderful Kate and her team were to work with throughout the process! I am the mother of the bride and both my daughter, and I are from out of town, so planning from a distance seemed daunting at first. But from the minute my daughter first saw Grace and we met Kate, we both knew it was exactly the right place for the ceremony and reception. Kate was responsive, collaborative, helpful and spot-on in all her suggestions (including for things we didn’t even know to ask like renting parking meters from the city to clear space in front of the venue). Kate’s expertise and thoughtfulness really helped to make the whole day magical. It was seamless having both the ceremony and reception in one location – each space has a different ambiance, which was wonderful. Coming from the intimate and warm white light of the ceremony and entering the reception with its grand cathedral ceiling, dramatic stained glass, stunning bar and balcony seating, made it feel as if we had in fact traveled to another location (but without the logistical fuss and bother). The side rooms for the bridal party to get ready in and the multiple additional bathrooms available on the lower floor and in the vestibule offered the functionality we needed to make everyone comfortable and the day flow beautifully. And the bar crew was incredibly gracious and accommodating and made our guests feel so welcome and cared for. Everyone raved about how gorgeous and singular Grace is, it truly is like no other venue in Portland. We just can’t recommend Grace highly enough, in every way!”

“I am sure Councilman Dion and Mrs Dion were just having an off night - my wife and Granddaughter and I had dinner on Friday night and my veal parmigiana was awesome and my wife’s asparagus and Gorgonzola ravioli was as great ! Jim our waiter must have lit the table candle 50 times for my granddaughter to keep blowing it out ! Brunos rocks !”
“Great food and drinks. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere. My favorite place in Portland!”

“Awesome ! thank you so much for doing our summer picnic at Mmp 5 Bucknam Road”
“Oh My God what a gem this place is! First off when you walk in it smells incredible. I had the Godmother grilled cheese. It was so good I couldn't hold a conversation......or maybe it was their margaritas!! Anyway the sandwich was unbelievable and the "secret sauce" on the side for dipping is something I didn't think I needed but ended up wanting to be buried in!”
“My family went to the Maine mall to stop by bestbuy and we noticed Soul Food Paradise. We decided to try it and were blown away. The catfish melts in your mouth, and the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were excellent. The chicken, both j**** bbq, and fried was all great, and each meal came with a corn muffin. 5/5, will go again.”

“Best place to eat on Peaks Island. This is the only restaurant on Peaks that is not a tourist trap.”

“Becky's is a good restaurant for locals and visitors alike!”
“Portland Lobster Company has a great atmosphere with plenty of seating and a live band that adds to the vibe. The food comes out fast, which is a plus. I ordered the clam chowder and a lobster roll, but both were kind of meh – not bad, just not memorable. It’s a self-order setup, so it’s pretty laid-back if that’s what you're looking for. Overall, it was a good spot to hang out, but the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me.”
“Great place. I had the oyster sampler and it was delicious! Highly recommend!”
“Incredible vibe where everyone was there, drinking, eating, singing and dancing side by side for hours”
“The food is always so yummy! The price, on the other hand, is pricy! Check your receipts for added prices. They also tip the kitchen! A nice gesture, but?! Atmosphere is a bar like, fun place, but the seats are very uncomfortable! I think that should be improved. The place is extremely small, so you may have a wait, but again, the food is worth the wait! The parking is a bit of a challenge due to being right on Congress St but somehow, I always find a spot but unless your in a parking lot or garage, you will be looking at your time for the meters are running! Otherwise, very good food!”
“I was seated quickly, the food was delicious and the service was great as well. I will definitely go back the next time I’m in Portland.”
“Went for dinner, our first time trying this establishment. We were impressed with the menu and freshly made pasta! Had fantastic meals (party of four) with apps and drinks and desserts. Cannot praise enough the quality and care taken by staff both front and back of the house. Thank you for a spectacular time!”
“What a nice surprise first visit. Charming, clean and classy restaurant vibe. Terrific knowledgeable service that helped us with our choices of drinks and food. Small plates but we left satiated. The avocado salsa macha with crispy corn tostada was delicious, but the flanked beef ribs with mole were over the top. Wasn't completely sold on the dessert which consisted of outstanding ice cream but a less than overwhelming rye bread something to eat with it, otherwise the food would have been 5 stars for sure. Lesson learned. We will definitely return.”
“Nice bar and restaurant. Upstairs is best for nice dinning.”
“Delicious and different! Staff was super nice! I would definitely recommend and visit again!”
