“Love coming here for coffee and pastries with my friends. Now they send me photos of them going by themselves or with their loved ones 😌 Onggi makes Portland a better place!“

“Absolutely LOVED Gelato Fiasco. I specifically love this one in downtown Old Port because of the cute little shops near it. You can eat your yummy gelato while walking and going to the little stores and stuff. It's a good date/hang-out idea.
There are a lot of flavors offered by Gelato Fiasco and every time I've gone, the workers are always so nice, despite the busy environment they work in. There's always people in the store, but they move fast and offer good service. The seating inside is small, but there's also a ton of outdoor sitting area by the store and just around the corner (literally everywhere).“

“I was advised to visit this café. As I would describe it, it is an addiction in a cup; consequently, I now make it a point to stop in once a week. The server was exemplary and willing to assist me in selecting the appropriate coffee, as I prefer my beverages to be quite sweet. 100/10 suggest stopping by and giving it a try!“

“Let me first start by saying that I'm one of the very proud owners of Three of Strong Spirits, also located on Diamond St in Portland, Maine. I meandered down to this company and, upon introducing myself, the owner gifted me with a bag of Margaret P. Driver, a coffee which she has created in our rum barrels! So, what happens when you take the best rum made in Maine, or the world for that matter, and infuse it into quality coffee beans?????????????? You get an explosion of taste that will literally leave you speechless!! Here I thought our rum was incredible and mind-blowing all by itself, but this lovely lady who owns this company has taken it to the next level! The coffee is smooth and boozy. I am addicted!!!!!!!! I find myself at my home coffee bar simply inhaling the aromas from the bag! There are only two of us in this big house who drink coffee. Well, when I brew Margaret P. Driver, the 12-cup pot vanishes within seconds, with my housemate and me fighting for the very last drop! If the combination of our rum and their coffee isn't deadly enough for you, then try their frosted brownies!! OMG!! I nearly passed out eating them!! They are incredible!! The brownies also pair beautifully with the coffee!! Wow, wow, and wow!! I will be stopping in for more of the coffee infused with our rum on a regular basis!! Furthermore, I recommend that tourists stay on Diamond St for an entire day, not just for a few moments!! We have our bar, Three Of Strong Spirits, then there's Bite Into Maine, and the icing on the cake, Coffee By Design! Diamond St is the happening place to be!!“
“Love this place. The staff is always friendly, the hours are consistent, the neighborhood adorable, and the coffee is great.“

“Rarely do I leave a review, but this place is outstanding and definitely deserves the hype! So good we returned for a second time over the course of our long weekend stay. First of all, the vibes inside this cute little café are immaculate. All the staff were warm, inviting (both times we went) and very attentive to provide a great dining experience. But let’s get to the best part, which is truly the food (the Como se dice Bon Giorno sandwich to be specific). The English muffins are made in house, and you can tell the difference! They take their delicious baked staples and curate them for the holiday/season. Is it a little pricier? Sure but nothing unexpected for dining in the Portland area, and the quality most certainly justifies the price. I highly recommend and definitely plan to return on following trips, as this is our new staple for breakfast in the Portland area!“

“Adorable little cafe with cozy vibes and delicious coffee. My cozyside latte was so good. I also really appreciate their commitment to eco-friendliness. All of their disposable items are compostable, the trash cans are all compost bins, and the for here cups are reusable glasses. So many places only serve their coffee in disposable cups so I have a lot of love for the places that still serve coffee in real glassware“

“The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the kind of place you can settle into and actually relax. The drinks are excellent, but what made it even better was the service. On Friday afternoon, the girl working was so kind and incredibly helpful. She took the time to explain the drinks and made sure I left with exactly what I wanted. Great coffee, great vibe, and wonderful people. Highly recommend!“

“Last month our flight to Portland was delayed a considerable amount of time due to weather issues and it looked as though we would not be able to make our 5p.m. reservation. My daughter called from the tarmac in Boston where we were rerouted and refueled and explained the situation. The hostess, Susie, was very understanding and compassionate And said that even though our table was booked for another party a 7, we should come in and she would see what she could do. We got there late but Susie greeted us warmly and told us not to worry about being rushed that she had arranged things so no one would be inconvenienced. The atmosphere was warm and cozy; the food so very delicious and our waitperson, Anika, was the best. Atmosphere, impeccable service, food and warmth all rate 5 stars and another visit next time we are in Portland.“

“I visited the Thames location. The open space atmosphere was very bright and refreshing. Menu was quite particular in terms of beans origins and varieties. I had a lot of questions, but the employee helping me did not really know answers about the specifics on the board. So I just got what seemed healthy and tasty after a quick google of some details. I had the Kenya Gatina AA – washed Batian Ruru with notes of blackberry, caramel, and orange zest. It was far from my typical, and I can appreciate that the coffee was of a good quality, but my experience would've been much more enjoyable if I could've been directed to flavors more suited to my palate. Beautiful view and in an easy to find area!“

“I love their teas! I get peace & yoga tea, and they are amazing! These are the best teas I have ever tried - if you’re a person who loves trying new teas and different flavors, this place is worth a try. I ordered online since I am back at college in STL, and the tea came wrapped all nicely still!! This place wraps it in paper and used twine, even more sustainable. I would recommend their teas to everyone.“

“Rating: 4.3/5
Buzz Coffee is a small basement coffee shop with rotating seasonal drinks.
Iced Matcha Lemonade ($5 for 24 oz) + Lavender Syrup ($0.65): This was better than most versions we've tried, though this type of drink has never quite hit the mark for us. The lemonade wasn't sour—more like a sparkling lemonade. The lavender added a nice sweetness that blended in without being overpowering.
S'mores Iced Latte ($6.50 for 24 oz + Oat Milk $0.75): One of the best s'mores iced lattes I've had. The espresso was strong and bold but not overwhelming, which I loved. Sweet but not overly sweet. The menu listed chocolate cold foam, but it tasted more like marshmallow to me. Overall, a well-balanced drink where all the flavors worked cohesively, yet you could still pick out each note. It helped me stay awake all day for the long 5-hour drive I had to do.“

“Best Gelato I’ve ever had! I’ve been to a few different places but none even compare. I had the Hazelnut and Sea Salt Caramel and they were mouth watering. “Adorable vibes and the donuts were 11/10. Stopped with our kids and tried the cookies and cream. Possibly the best donuts I’ve ever had. They are mini and you have to order in packs of 6 with one flavor. I wish they did a flight so you can try different ones without committing to a few boxes. Cost is reasonable as well!“

“I've shopped in many Whole Foods across the country. I have family in Portland, Maine, and I visit this Whole Foods on a frequent basis. It is large, well-stocked, and most of all, the different food stations are amazing. Made to order items at the food stations are terrific and make for a nice meal. The hot bar is also excellent. Tasty, excellent food. I look forward to frequenting the store on a regular basis.“

“My husband, MIL, and myself were visiting Maine all the way from NC and came here TWICE during our visit. First was brunch, then dinner. Both meals were exceptional. Our waitress(I wish I could remember her name, but she has long, red hair), gave the best service I have ever experienced in my life! This will definitely be a spot we must visit everytime we come up ❤️“

“Great food made on the premises, including homemade desserts and sourdough bread. Try the charcuterie plate with several cheese, fruit, nuts, bread and a rotating sliced meat. Or the grilled shrimp or tuna, both yummy. Cocktails, wine, espresso -- choices galore. gotta love the espresso martini, even a decaf one! Jazz or blues background music, no headbanger stuff. Relax and enjoy...“

“Located on the ground floor of the Westin Harborview hotel, in Portland, this is the only alternative to the restaurant for a cup of coffee and a quick bit. Unfortunately, we found the hours were short, and it is not open every day. It is a small cafe, with no tables or chairs. You place your order, pay and get your coffee to go, The barista was very nice and did a good job preparing our coffees with care. There were two types of muffins and packaged coffee for sale, but that was it. No other choices for a quick bite, no sandwiches or other bakery goods.“

“My 4 star on atmosphere is simply because this location is non-stop busy. That is not remotely anything the staff can change. Tip on food...when ordering food and beverage, make the food requests first, the food comes out usually faster. As for the staff, I think they're awesome. 90% of the time they are awesome - depsite having a job where you stand all day and there is a constant stream of requests! Sure there may be a surly one every once and awhile...but just take a moment to let them know you're glad they're there and they do a complete 360 flip. And...the dog treats are a huge bonus!“

“This is my frequent and go to starbucks by my work. They definitely have built a great rapport with me and know my regular order at this point. When I’ve lost my wallet, they went above and beyond to make sure I got it back. When mistakes happen, they always do their best to fix my order + more!
I feel bad sometimes how grumpy I can come across sometimes, but I do want them ALL to know that they make my day better with every order. lots of compassion and care from the team. thank you! - QM“
