“We came to Gelato Fiasco daily on our trip to Portland. They have a wide selection of flavors and the ability mix and match as many flavors into an order. Our favorite part is the number of fixings that are packed into each serving. They certainly don’t skip on that. Whether it’s the Maine Blueberry with crumble or double caramel with cookie, each flavor is unique and delicious.“

“My husband and I had lunch here before an appointment nearby. This restaurant had delicious food. My husband ordered the Down east Ruben, which was made with deep fried haddock with Cole slaw piled high on the bun with melted cheese. He said it was delicious! I opted for the classic BLT. Again, the sandwich was delicious. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and ample bacon was piled on top. I watched a young man bus the tables. He was extremely thorough cleaning the tables and seating. He even washed the items on the table (salt & pepper shakers, ketchup and hot sauce bottles). This young man then set the tables for new customers. Being a bit of a clean freak, I appreciated this young man's work. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.“

“I grabbed a few things from Norimoto Bakery and was pretty happy with everything. The baked goods were fresh, and you can tell they put some thought into the flavors. I liked that there were some different options instead of the usual basic bakery stuff. Everything looked really nice too, but still felt like a relaxed, local spot. The person helping me was friendly and the service was quick. Nothing over the top, just a good experience overall. I’ll probably come back next time I’m in the area and try something different.“

“If you are looking for some of Portland's most amazing foods come here. Today I had their special which was a softshell crab dish that was out of this world. I have never had the same thing twice at MaMi because all of the dishes look and smell and taste so amazing I want to try them all. It's truly an experience.“

“My wife and I started our week's visit to Portland with dinner at the Union restaurant in The Press Hotel. We were so lucky that coincided with a special 3-course lobster meal which we both ordered and loved from start with lobster croquettes to lobster pasta to the desserts. We added the tempura green beans to the appetizers which were so specially delicious. A cold bottle of their spanish cava complimented the food. Our waiter Yajia was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a delight to sit in and look at. All in all a wonderful, memorable start to our trip.“

“We wandered in today and sat at the bar. We were so impressed with both the service and the food. The bartender was cordial, friendly, and extremely attentive. We had a flatbread that was absolutely delicious and chicken, bacon ranch salad with house made ranch that was exceptional. Closer than any. We don’t have a flatbread company near our home sure wish we did.“

“A lovely side of vegie fried rice with delicata squash, radicchio, scrambled egg, mushrooms, and scallions. A delicious light, healthy meal after some Portland errands. The hot jasmine green tea is so soothing and uplifting. This places always a great choice for a quick, fresh, solid meal.“

My only complaint…(well 2) are…
I love the outside patio but those metal chairs are cold and uncomfortable on a 68* evening. Warm enough to sit outside but not on a cold metal chair. Maybe add cushions?
2) the salad is the highest priced one I’ve seen yet in Portland. Higher than David’s, Scales and even Twelve, the most expensive restaurant in town!
At $21 you’d think it would be bigger. It was actually on the smaller side.
Please check out some salad prices on your competitors’ menus and adjust it a bit lower.
The average for nice and good, high quality restaurants is more like $11-16.
The rest of the prices were in line with similar restaurants.“
