“YUMMMMM!!! It is hard to describe how much I loved this gelato. The employees were friendly and helpful, and so nice to offer samples when I had questions on the flavors (the samples were given with metal spoons… so nice not to use single use plastic for that). I ordered the large size cup and the portion was generous for the price. I had three different flavors in my cup and all of them had a nice amount of toppings mixed in… this is a nice way to have the gelato as many gelato shops only have the toppings laying on top so you don’t end up with many in your serving. I have visited Italy and have had many gelatos over the years, but this is hands down the best I have had! My favorite flavor was ‘A Big ‘Ole Peanut Butter Pint’... a week and a half later and I am still thinking about this flavor!! Also, we were with someone with a dog and there was no outdoor seating. We asked the employees if we could grab chairs from the restaurant and bring them outside and they had no problem letting us do that (it helped that we visited at a time where they weren’t too busy).“

“My husband and I had lunch here before an appointment nearby. This restaurant had delicious food. My husband ordered the Down east Ruben, which was made with deep fried haddock with Cole slaw piled high on the bun with melted cheese. He said it was delicious! I opted for the classic BLT. Again, the sandwich was delicious. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and ample bacon was piled on top. I watched a young man bus the tables. He was extremely thorough cleaning the tables and seating. He even washed the items on the table (salt & pepper shakers, ketchup and hot sauce bottles). This young man then set the tables for new customers. Being a bit of a clean freak, I appreciated this young man's work. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.“

“Best food I ate in Portland all week (including upscale places) was the lobster bisque from Chef Ryan. Oysters were GREAT as well. Family friendly. Chef Ryan’s whole menu was top notch and the kitchen staff was so nice. Ty came up and offered to give my young kids a lobster lesson over FaceTime (was here for work). Lizzy was excellent at the bar for our group. Ashley was amazing and welcoming to our group. Couldn’t recommend more. But def order the menu items and not just the lobster!“

“We wandered in today and sat at the bar. We were so impressed with both the service and the food. The bartender was cordial, friendly, and extremely attentive. We had a flatbread that was absolutely delicious and chicken, bacon ranch salad with house made ranch that was exceptional. Closer than any. “If you are looking for some of Portland's most amazing foods come here. Today I had their special which was a softshell crab dish that was out of this world. I have never had the same thing twice at MaMi because all of the dishes look and smell and taste so amazing I want to try them all. It's truly an experience.“
