“This meal was a 10/10 early on just from the bread (from Standard Baking Co.) and Wood oven roasted mussels alone. The way we’d bottle the sauce they were cooked in if we could. Both the hangar steak and pork chop were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes are the best we ever had. Rhubarb creme brûlée was perfect and light. Ambiance is lovely. The menu is unique—you can order single bites from several of the apps, which makes it easy to try a bunch of things (and every one hits). Think broiled Maine scallops, broiled Maine oysters, beer-battered cod cheeks, even foie gras with truffle.

“Went for Oyster Social/Happy Hour they do on Wednesdays after a local recommended I try…had a little bit of everything and some punch. I’m not easy to impress. It was DIVINE!!! My husband ordered the Down east Ruben, which was made with deep fried haddock with Cole slaw piled high on the bun with melted cheese. He said it was delicious! I opted for the classic BLT. Again, the sandwich was delicious. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and ample bacon was piled on top. I watched a young man bus the tables. He was extremely thorough cleaning the tables and seating. He even washed the items on the table (salt & pepper shakers, ketchup and hot sauce bottles). This young man then set the tables for new customers. Being a bit of a clean freak, I appreciated this young man's work. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.“

“Best food I ate in Portland all week (including upscale places) was the lobster bisque from Chef Ryan. Oysters were GREAT as well. Family friendly. Chef Ryan’s whole menu was top notch and the kitchen staff was so nice. Ty came up and offered to give my young kids a lobster lesson over FaceTime (was here for work). Lizzy was excellent at the bar for our group. Ashley was amazing and welcoming to our group. Couldn’t recommend more. But def order the menu items and not just the lobster!“
