“We brought our soccer team over for a team kick-off party and couldn't have picked a better spot. The staff was so friendly and excited to see us, the food/drinks were delicious, and all our families said it was the perfect spot to gather. We'll definitely be back!“
“The best in Portland. Great beer and wonderful employees. Cannot wait until they can distribute to Minnesota!!“
“Some of the best beer in Southern Maine, always a ton on tap“

“Really great spot for kombucha, spiked kombucha, and a couple beers on tap. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommendRoot Wild Kombucha when visiting Portland or as a local and find yourself strolling down Washington Ave.“
“Best brewery I have been to in Maine don’t pass up going there. Staff is amazing“
“I went to the coast of Maine for a couple of days and I saw Geary's Original Pale Ale for sale in a local store, and am I ever glad that I purchased a case! By far the finest pale ale that I have ever tasted in the US of A...it has the qualities of everything that I enjoy in a pale ale, thank you Geary's, I'll be back for more...“
“The food was so good and fresh. You can tell the food hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp. Get the hand cut, fries and the onion rings Thay are fantastic.“
“Amazing beer. Friendly Staff. Cozy atmosphere. Good people. Go there!“
“Had an absolute blast hosting our Winter Film Challenge kickoff party here. Awesome communication, staff and vibe. Cant wait to come back!“
“Rising Tide has a great, open atmosphere. We really enjoyed being able to have the warm summer breeze flow through the bar area. The selection of beers was amazing. I really enjoyed having a "flight" (4 samples) of beer to sample before deciding on a full size version. I'll be going back!“
“A bit of a disappointment for a brewery. The place itself is huge and you can spend hours with a tour and tasting, playing games and having various bites. While the staff was nice and knowledgeable, the beer itself was somewhat disappointing. With so many other breweries in town they were probably one of the worst“
“Goodfire Brewing Co. in Portland, Maine for two pints & a half pour on a Sunday afternoon. I was here last about a year & four months ago on my previous Portland tour, but had been looking forward to returning to try some more offerings. My friends & I were doing nine different breweries in one day so I had been keeping it light & was happy to be able to grab a couple beers under 5%. I wanted to attempt to keep my wits about me as we walked from place to place. Earlier in the day we had passed the Goodfire taproom in Freeport, Maine, but decided to check out the Portland location again since it was pretty much next to our AIRB&B. ??
Alright let's get to the beers. I started off with a pint of the LEAGUE NIGHT LAGER which was good & at 4% was perfect for my attempted sobriety. The next pint I got was the excellent WORMS Bitter, which is a style I've really started to enjoy over the past year. The half pour I ended with was the DOUBLE LUTRO Sour Gose, that had a nice subtle lemon finish. Overall some good beers & a few different styles to try & get a good grasp on what they're about. ??
There wasn't a ton of seating options, but plenty for the space. There was no bar seating, but there was hightops, rail seating along the wall & a outside patio area. The beertender was nice & super helpful, being knowledgeable about the beers you're serving allows you to have better customer service & interactions since you can relate to what your customers are drinking. Beer to go & a fun merchandise area as well. Another great experience here & will be checking out the Freeport location next time so I can get my completionist badge for this brewery. ?????

“This is a great coffee shop. It has a bar as well, but the atmosphere is really relaxed. They have a large collection of games ranging from quick and simple to complex and lengthy. Trevor had some great spot recommendations for games and the coffee was solid. Highly recommend checking them out.“

“Wondered I to this place just to cool off and have a drink and ended up spending a few hours and did not want to leave. Both bartenders were fun and nice and know their drinks very well. Even though this is more of a bar scene they have bar far the best oysters in Portland. While not a fan of bourbon had their bourbon rose Sangria and it was absolutely delicious. The beer was much better than at a better know shipyard brewerie. If you are not hungry amd just want something to much on or go with your drink can't go wrong with their cheese plate. The atmosphere pretty nice for the most part, just when gets super busy because you order all of the food at the bar even for the tables gets a bit too loud and chaotic“

“I stopped at Oxbow as part of my self-guided brewery tour of Portland. I had grand plans to hit 6 breweries the day our cruise ship was in port, but a delicious lunch at Duck Fat derailed my plans and robbed me of both time and stomach space.
I hit Oxbow on the walk from ShipYard to Lone Pine and Goodfire.
A reason I mentioned Duckfat is because they have a takeout location right next to Oxbow- so you can pair the best fries in Maine with a ton tasty brews.
Speaking of the beers, the ones I tried were delicious. Oxbox has a great mix of Farmhouse ales and barrel-aged sours. Perfect pairings with salty frites!
The inside space is substantial, which is great for Maine's "cold, yet damp" environment. The day I visited, all their garage doors were open, the outside bar was bustling, and their patio was full.
I highly recommend Oxbow- especially for a change of pace from the mainstream hop-heavy breweries. Their offerings of Grisettes, Biere De Garde, Saisons was unparalleled.“
