“Delia made our tour at Allagash one of the highlights of our time in Portland. We visited on the afternoon of our flight home to Mpls, and it was a great way to bring our Maine trip to a close. She was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable, with that rare ability to know her subject thoroughly without making it feel like a lecture. She kept the tour lively, welcomed questions, and shared the story and craft behind Allagash with genuine enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. You can visit a brewery for the beer, but the person leading the tour often determines how much you remember about it afterward. Delia made ours memorable. Allagash is fortunate to have her representing them.“

“One of the best culinary experiences visiting the east coast. The service was amazing, Jake and the rest of the stuff were incredibly helpful. The grilled lobster with garlic linguine pasta almost took me to Nirvana, lol. The octopus is a must in my opinion. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Portland, Maine.“

“I am the kind of person who scoffed at vanilla ice cream. I thought it was boring, plain, blah. So when I went to Zephyr Ice I had planned to ask if I could just get the shaved ice— no ice cream. I am so glad I didn’t do that. This is the best ice cream I have ever tasted, and the shaved ice of course was flawless. I can’t go often because of the distance, but whenever I do find myself near Portland, I dream of this place.“

“Great service, excellent food. Head on shrimp appetizer was great. The fresh pasta dish was very good. Halibut entree was light fresh and very filling but a tad rich on the sauce. Our server was friendly cheerful and very helpful. Will definitely visit again when able.“

“Walked into the Portland location at 7:57 on a Saturday when they close at 8:00 and they graciously served me, even though it was clear they had finished cleaning up for the night. I am a regular at the Scarborough commissary throughout the summer and this was my first time visiting the Portland location. The staff all said hello to me with a smile and conversation and had no problem packing a few rolls for me to go! Great staff and always consistent food!“

“We first stumbled across this distillery 4 years ago and we were so happy to have the opportunity to travel back. This distillery is skillful with barrel aging their spirits; their cocktails and rum juices are an utter delight so there's a little something for every palate. Jen was our bartender this time and she was amazing. Give Three of Strong a try; they're a wonderful place.“

“We wandered in today and sat at the bar. We were so impressed with both the service and the food. The bartender was cordial, friendly, and extremely attentive. We had a flatbread that was absolutely delicious and chicken, bacon ranch salad with house made ranch that was exceptional. Closer than any. We don’t have a flatbread company near our home sure wish we did.“

“One of the best Portland breweries & personal favorite for years!!!! Ishmael is either #1 or at least top 3 locally brewed ales.

Great new things include…. two excellent food trucks parked outside.

Truly disappointing & surprising new things include….. a rebrand that feels lacking in the traditional personality. Perhaps totally geared towards tourists in its generic / stereotypical “seafaring Maine” nature?!
Will support & get their excellent beers / enjoy their top-notch staff no matter what, but it’s a letdown. Especially because I love both RT and Oxbow, the new owner and separate excellent brewery“

The combinations pull in some Hawaiian and American influences, which keeps things interesting, and the casual setup makes it easy to grab something without committing to a formal dinner. Definitely worth checking out if you like sushi but want something a little different.“

“This place rocks and I had the best $11 lunch. The puffy avo and shrimp tacos are my favorite. I went early and it wasn’t busy so I was able to get a little solo work lunch in and the server Luis was SO nice and welcoming. I also didn’t realize the have a kids changing table in the bathroom and most places in Portland aren’t kid friendly so I think I’ll come back with my kids soon because I’m already hungry for another taco and a happy upbeat welcoming atmosphere.“
