“The Sea Glass Restaurant was always one of my parents' favorites in the greater Portland area. It was an easy selection to know we wanted to have a reception there following my Mom's Memorial Service. Hana, the events and catering manager, was wonderful to work with. She listened with such great compassion and ensured every detail was attended to. Jessica and Andre were amazing servers... attentive without being intrusive. Toward the end, Jessica volunteered that she overheard so many wonderful stories about my Mom. Just the right thing to say! And, BTW, the food was delicious and the gathering space perfect. I can't recommend Sea Glass more highly!“

“We came here for lunch and loved the vibes.Being vegetarians, we expected the entrees could be adjusted for veg options however they were unable to make swaps for Khao Seuy which was quite surprising and disappointing. So we ordered the mushroom ramen and Mapo Doufu. The ramen was delicious, the broth was rich, creamy with umami flavor and loaded with mushrooms. The Doufu dish had heat to it with a good portion size but lacked acidity. The highlight of the menu was the Honey ice cream. Ice cream was creamy covered in rich dark chocolate and topped with honey brittle, sweet and salty making it a must try! Overall, I think this is a nice spot but definitely on the pricer end.“

“Duckfat has always and will always knock it out of the park. It's out top place to visit when we're in Portland. For first timers...the restaurant is very small with communal tables so it is very likely that as a small group you will be seated with others. The outdoor dining was available and we had the perfect day for it. The fries are the obvious choice here, but spring for the poutine with a duck egg on top. You won't regret it. I'm a sucker for a Cuban on any menu but THIS one is literally the best I've ever had and that was even without the pickles (I have an allergy ?). Worth noting that instead of the typical ham in the sandwich, they exchanged it for soppresatta. While that's not a typical go to for me, I trust in anything they make and it went together SO well. I can't wait to make it back already and it's only been a week.Parking: There is a very small lot for the building if you're lucky to find a spot. We got there within 30 mins of opening and a few were still open. There is also street parking and a couple nearby garages. Portland is a great walking city anyways so find any lot in/near Old Port and you can pretty much walk everywhere you want to go.“

Tina runs the tasting room, if you see her while you're enjoying the beer or pizza... make sure to ask her some questions about her hometown (Detroit, MI) or how Foundation Brewing came to be a local micro-brew.The pizza is a light, fluffy and crunchy exploration in all the best ways you could imagine. I think this brewery is getting the absolute most out of what space they have to work with and their staff is so friendly/helpful/patient. I had their IPA to go with my Bang Bang Chicken wrap, my wife had the same beer with a Chicken Banh mi sandwich. The food was delicious! For just simple sandwiches they packed a lot of flavor. With a side of fantastic fries to split we left plenty full and happy. I gave the IPA 4 out of 5 stars, there are so many good beers now! “Seating: ImmediateFirst dish arrival: 10 minutes, including all ordersI had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the swift service and exceptional quality of the food. Right from the beginning, the waiting time was nonexistent; our lunch was served within a mere 10 minutes of ordering. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the clam chowder. It was the thickest chowder I have ever savored, served at a perfect, steaming temperature. This dish alone would make me return. The fried calamari was crispy and flavorful, though a spicy mayo sauce on the side could potentially elevate this dish even further. The fried haddock followed suit, maintaining a delightful crispiness that was thoroughly enjoyable. While the prices were a tad high relative to the portion sizes, this is understandable given the restaurant’s prime location. Despite this, the overall experience was positive enough to warrant a return visit. This spot is definitely recommended for those who value quick service and quality seafood.“

“Marking off another Portland, Maine brewery... Definitive Brewing Company! This time Steve and myself dove into sour territory and it was a good experience for sure! The Late Nite: Triple Berry Pie was the sour that we had and enjoyed fairly well. Flavor features with this sour is berries, sourness, vanilla, cinnamon and fruitiness. It's a stronger sour and comes in around an 8 on ABV. It's a fairly sweet tasting beer as well aside from the main flavor highlights but on this occasion it was OK. The flavors blended together well and made it a good sipping beer even though preferably it's not something I want to drink very often.“

“Fun and extensive vegan ice cream menu. The ice cream itself could've been better, they have several creative flavors but they all kind of taste the same (I suspect it's the flavor of dates which I'm guessing is used to sweeten some of them, but it just gives all the flavors a similar sharp cloying, slightly salty taste), and the texture isn't very creamy. If you do go I'd recommend just getting the ice cream and not any toppings because the toppings push it into too sweet territory and detract from the flavors.“

Falafel Mafia Food Truck Vegetarian • $
216 Eastern Promenade, Portland - 7.65 miles

“Without a doubt, this food truck located on the Eastern Promenade has become our absolute favorite. It is our go-to place for a delightful Saturday afternoon lunch. The falafel they serve is simply exceptional—crispy and golden on the outside, while being light and incredibly fluffy on the inside. Each wrap is a harmonious symphony of flavors that never fails to impress us.The soft, pillowy pita bread they bake adds a delightful touch, perfectly complemented by the creamy and velvety hummus. What truly elevates the experience are the vibrant and crunchy fresh veggies that provide a burst of freshness with every bite. The portion sizes are remarkably generous, and if you're feeling especially hungry, don't miss out on their fries—they're a worthy addition to your meal. And to take it to the next level of deliciousness, we highly recommend trying one of their flavorful sauces.Beyond the phenomenal food, the stunning views of Casco Bay make the whole experience even more memorable. There's something magical about enjoying a scrumptious falafel while being surrounded by such breathtaking scenery. If you're in the area, grab a picnic bench and make it a point to visit. You won't be disappointed!“

“I got the jumokbap and the jajangmyeon— the jumokbap had some great textures and flavors (like a savory rice crispy treat with a runny yolk egg and spicy sauce base— yum). The jajangmyeon could have used some more seasoning— was a 6 out of 10 in terms of flavor— but the textures were good, the sauce wasn’t too much, and the presentation was appealing. My partner got the spicy cucumber dish and that was good too ($6). I like the overall atmosphere too— felt very community-esque when you first walked in.“
