“The Sea Glass Restaurant was always one of my parents' favorites in the greater Portland area. It was an easy selection to know we wanted to have a reception there following my Mom's Memorial Service. Hana, the events and catering manager, was wonderful to work with. She listened with such great compassion and ensured every detail was attended to. Jessica and Andre were amazing servers... attentive without being intrusive. Toward the end, Jessica volunteered that she overheard so many wonderful stories about my Mom. Just the right thing to say! And, BTW, the food was delicious and the gathering space perfect. I can't recommend Sea Glass more highly!“

“We came here for lunch and loved the vibes.Being vegetarians, we expected the entrees could be adjusted for veg options however they were unable to make swaps for Khao Seuy which was quite surprising and disappointing. So we ordered the mushroom ramen and Mapo Doufu. The ramen was delicious, the broth was rich, creamy with umami flavor and loaded with mushrooms. The Doufu dish had heat to it with a good portion size but lacked acidity. The highlight of the menu was the Honey ice cream. Ice cream was creamy covered in rich dark chocolate and topped with honey brittle, sweet and salty making it a must try! Overall, I think this is a nice spot but definitely on the pricer end.“

However, when we arrived around 1:05 pm, the lady at the entrance was very rudy and told us we couldn’t dine in without being in the waiting list. It’s not what she said, it’s the way she said it.-Restaurant reached out to me in the nicest way and apologized for the situation about the host. “Duckfat has always and will always knock it out of the park. It's out top place to visit when we're in Portland. For first timers...the restaurant is very small with communal tables so it is very likely that as a small group you will be seated with others. The outdoor dining was available and we had the perfect day for it. The fries are the obvious choice here, but spring for the poutine with a duck egg on top. You won't regret it. I'm a sucker for a Cuban on any menu but THIS one is literally the best I've ever had and that was even without the pickles (I have an allergy ?). Worth noting that instead of the typical ham in the sandwich, they exchanged it for soppresatta. While that's not a typical go to for me, I trust in anything they make and it went together SO well. I can't wait to make it back already and it's only been a week.Parking: There is a very small lot for the building if you're lucky to find a spot. We got there within 30 mins of opening and a few were still open. There is also street parking and a couple nearby garages. Portland is a great walking city anyways so find any lot in/near Old Port and you can pretty much walk everywhere you want to go.“

“Of all the bakeries and coffee shops my husband and I tried on our trip to Portland, Tamdem was our favorite! The Americano was delicious and the salted coconut maple scone was one of the best I've ever had with the perfect crunchy texture on the outside and soft inside. I also tried the blood orange scone, which tasted a bit pithy to me. There was a line at 11:00 on a Saturday, but it moved quickly and there was plenty of seating outside.“

We are definitely hard critics when it comes to middle eastern food and this exceeded our expectations. Perfect balance of flavors not too overpowering spices but not bland by any means. “Amazing experience. We called to make reservations the day of and they were fully booked but told us we could try as a walk-in so we did. We were very lucky they had three seats available at the bar when we showed up at 7:30pm. The bartender was very friendly and really made sure we had everything we needed. We started with a special for our appetizer, a cod fish mashed potato spread and it was DELICIOUS! My daughter has the seared tuna and she loved it. My husband had the linguini and clams and it was very flavorful. The portions were also pretty generous. My swordfish was also cooked to perfection. We would definitely return. The bar is in a big open lounge area so it was a nice setup. And everyone was very friendly.“

Taproom is outside in a heated tent and they have little tent/cubbies with their own heaters. I would love to drink beers here on a random day when it is dumping outside.Lots of merch. Good Food truck. Kids loved grilled cheese, burger. Hook/string game outside. Super friendly staff at the bar and merch area.Would love to come back on our next trip to Maine!“

“Foundation Brewing is a fantastic delight. We had the opportunity to meet one of the four owners tonight and she was so friendly. Tina runs the tasting room, if you see her while you're enjoying the beer or pizza... make sure to ask her some questions about her hometown (Detroit, MI) or how Foundation Brewing came to be a local micro-brew.The pizza is a light, fluffy and crunchy exploration in all the best ways you could imagine. I think this brewery is getting the absolute most out of what space they have to work with and their staff is so friendly/helpful/patient. I'm committing myself to returning over and over and being (hopefully) a regular :)10/10 would recommend to anybody in and around the Portland/Westbrook city line.“

“Just came out and wanted to write a review in the car. We came here back when it first opened and decided to give it another try since it's been several years. I'm glad we did. I had their IPA to go with my Bang Bang Chicken wrap, my wife had the same beer with a Chicken Banh mi sandwich. The food was delicious! For just simple sandwiches they packed a lot of flavor. With a side of fantastic fries to split we left plenty full and happy. I gave the IPA 4 out of 5 stars, there are so many good beers now! Oh and we tried the homemade hot sauce and ended up buying a bottle. So good and the heat keeps coming as you dip your fries into it! South Portland is a nice little village now! It's nice to see this side of town growing into a nice place to visit.“

“Marking off another Portland, Maine brewery... Definitive Brewing Company! This time Steve and myself dove into sour territory and it was a good experience for sure! The Late Nite: Triple Berry Pie was the sour that we had and enjoyed fairly well. Flavor features with this sour is berries, sourness, vanilla, cinnamon and fruitiness. It's a stronger sour and comes in around an 8 on ABV. It's a fairly sweet tasting beer as well aside from the main flavor highlights but on this occasion it was OK. The flavors blended together well and made it a good sipping beer even though preferably it's not something I want to drink very often.“

“Best of Portland Brewery and Spirits Bus Tour – Three of StrongThree of Strong is a rum distillery, bar, and tasting room. Rum is any spirit made from a sugar cane plant which makes is very versatile. Three of Strong uses all organic ingredients that include sugar cane, molasses, slow fermenting yeast and locally sourced water. They do not use any artificial flavors or colors.I enjoyed the tour and of the distillery and learned about the process for making rum.After their tasting session, I found their spiced rum to be one of the best I have ever had. It was smooth and the delivered very flavorful finish when drinking it straight.If you are in Portland, ME, make sure you stop in or visit by going on the “Best of Portland Brewery and Spirits Bus” Tour.“

“We bought soft shell medium live lobsters, they were 11.99 a pound today. They were extremely lively, fresh and delicious. Flesh was pretty firm and filled within the shells. The service staff was extremely helpful and explained size and hard shell vs soft shell to us. The shop was clean“

“Hidden gem alert in So Portland! Kelly's is in the back corner of a strip mall, but is an amazing place for sandwiches, salads, and sweets! The salads are huge and filling. I had the chef salad which had rolls of turkey, ham, provolone cheese, and an egg along with fresh vegetables. I could only eat half and had to stop. Don't miss the sweets! Best molasses cookie I have had- crispy edge, buttery taste, and big enough to share (but why would you want to??) Kelly's also does breakfast sandwiches, and daily specials. Their only webpage is their Facebook page which will list the daily specials. Thursdays are apparently also flatbread day, and there were several freshly made flatbreads available for purchase. The cooler stocks take home food and quick salads/sandwiches with no wait. Highly recommend Kelly's for a yummy lunch!“

“Another great brewery in Portland. They don't have flights which I don't love but you can get small pours of all their beers. They have some wine options as well if you aren't into beer. They serve some snacks but typically have a food truck on site. I'm not a huge beer fan but when they have a sour I typically get it. Large inside and outside seating area, which is great for big groups. They also have corn hole. A fun brewery to stop at, with lots of parking out back as well.“

Ordered the chicken shawarma and beef shawarma sandwiches, gyro sandwich, lamb shank plate, beef shawarma salad, and baklava. They included a bowl of smooth tasty lentil curry on the house. I tasted everything. It was all fantastic. I was particularly surprised on how good the lamb shank was and the large portion they gave, as well as how many tomatoes they put in the salad. The lamb shank was on the bone,not shredded. All of the vegetables were fresh and crisp. Everything well seasoned. Their prices are really fair in my opinion. I’m going back soon. The ice cream itself could've been better, they have several creative flavors but they all kind of taste the same (I suspect it's the flavor of dates which I'm guessing is used to sweeten some of them, but it just gives all the flavors a similar sharp cloying, slightly salty taste), and the texture isn't very creamy. If you do go I'd recommend just getting the ice cream and not any toppings because the toppings push it into too sweet territory and detract from the flavors.“

My son ordered the haddock nuggets and fries. We both loved our meals. Everything came out fresh, flavorful and hot. I ate every single thing on my plate. The piece of haddock was huge and served on a lightly toasted bun. It was pure bliss. Their homemade tarter sauce goes perfectly with their seafood. I just couldn't stop eating their french fries.
