“This is a two part review… first about the food and second about the owners. The food: my boyfriend and I have been dying to try out the blue pig for some time now. We were able to get there this past Sunday and wow, just wow!! Every single thing on the menu looked amazing. We had deliciously flavored mimosas, their amazing boozy espresso, the spicy pulled chicken and a brisket Benedict special. Every single bite was absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked and flavored. Definitely the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time… we will be back!! The owners, Paul and Brianna: the nicest and most kind humans! We rode our motorcycles there, something we haven’t done much this summer due to our crazy schedules.. after our wonderful meal, my boyfriend’s brand new bike wouldn’t start. We went back in asking for a couple tools to try and get it started. Both Brianna behind the bar and Paul in the kitchen took time out of tending to their very busy business to help us. Paul brought out tools, a jumper pack, and tried to help get the bike started. When it wouldn’t start, they moved their own vehicle and let us push the bike into their spot where their cameras would be on it overnight while we worked on getting a tow. To stop what they were doing and take the time to help us out while running a busy restaurant just blew us away. We are both business owners and understand the value of not only going above and beyond, but just being kind humans. The blue pig is our new spot, and we will be recommending to everyone we know!“

“Excellent service by bartender in Gorham on Sunday evening. My friend was rude, unreasonable and embarrassing. The bartender provided excellent service throughout very stressful interaction with my friend who was way out of line and extra, all over mint and a Mojito. You deserve an award for your professionalism and kindness.“

“We just had out winter get together with our campground friends Saturday night. We had about 55 people. I met with the owner to make arrangements and make sure it would all work out a few weeks beforehand. Gianna was our waitress and she was amazing!! Top notch in fact!! The food was delicious. The drinks stayed full while we waited for the food. They apologized a few times about the wait as they said the kitchen had gotten backed up but none of us noticed. Great time was had by all!“

I am a regular at the Scarborough commissary throughout the summer and this was my first time visiting the Portland location. The staff all said hello to me with a smile and conversation and had no problem packing a few rolls for me to go! Great staff and always consistent food!“

“What can you say?? It's New England's first craft brewery, opened a few months before that MA patriot one. :D They keep it simple with a quaint tasting room, plenty of seating outside in great weather, very comfortable and still fantastic brews!! Definitely recommend!“

“We went to Blaze Pizza in Portland Maine today. What a great experience. They overheard us mention it was my son’s birthday and when we were almost finished, they brought us free deserts and said did we hear it’s someone’s birthday? The staff was so amazingly sweet. “My 4 star on atmosphere is simply because this location is non-stop busy. That is not remotely anything the staff can change. Tip on food...when ordering food and beverage, make the food requests first, the food comes out usually faster. As for the staff, I think they're awesome. 90% of the time they are awesome - depsite having a job where you stand all day and there is a constant stream of requests! Sure there may be a surly one every once and awhile...but just take a moment to let them know you're glad they're there and they do a complete 360 flip. And...the dog treats are a huge bonus!“

Accountability is always appreciated and in this restaurant it’s certainly valued by the front of house. If you had a poor experience before, I’d recommend trying again!“
